Abstract: An improved mat is disclosed. Long and short legs support the mat and cause it to feel resilient although it is fabricated from hard rubber. The mat has drain holes on vertical surfaces. Ribs prevent the mat from embedding within grating. Grit is selectively placed upon the mat and physically supported. Adhesive for bonding the grit is retained by retention lips. Also disclosed is a process for creating drain holes on vertical surfaces of mats by attaching a grooving tool to a robot and programming the robot to cut through molded mat channels to create the desired drain holes. An additional process uses the robot to selectively place adhesive upon the mat. An adhesive dispenser is attached to the robot and the robot is appropriately programmed.

Abstract: An inflatable cushion includes a cushion body and an air nozzle mounted on the cushion body. The cushion body includes an upper surface layer, a lower surface layer combined with the upper surface layer, a flexible pull strap mounted between the upper surface layer and the lower surface layer, and a warming layer mounted on the pull strap and located between the upper surface layer and the lower surface layer. Thus, the upper surface layer and the lower surface layer are isolated by the warming layer and the pull strap to prevent moisture of the ground from being infiltrated through the lower surface layer into the upper surface layer so that the cushion body has a warming effect.

Abstract: A wind-resistant, souvenir-collecting beach towel with hidden pockets has a towel portion, a compartment at one end of the towel portion, an opening accessible from the underside of the beach towel opposite the edge of the end of the towel portion where the compartment is, and a souvenir receiving portion forming a perimeter around the towel portion and having apertures where ball bungee cords and pegs are secured. The compartment has a top and a bottom layer and is attached to the underside of the towel portion and has hidden pockets. Some of the hidden pockets have openings recessed from an outside edge of the compartment such that the opening is not exposed to the environment and is not visible to passersby, and one of the hidden pockets is accessible only through the opening.

A diaper change mat according to the present invention includes surface fasteners (101 to 105 and 101? to 105?) configured to be fastened detachably to a diaper and a mat (11) on which the surface fasteners (101 to 105 and 101? to 105?) are fixed. The surface fasteners (101 to 105 and 101? to 105?) are preferably convex members of surface fasteners and the convex members are fastened to nonwoven fabric used for a disposable diaper. The convex members of the surface fasteners are sheets provided with many engaging members of convex shape such as hooked or mushroom shaped, or the like. The surface fasteners (101 to 105 and 101? to 105?) can fix a diaper (2) in a spread state to the mat (11), and thus help facilitate changing diapers.

The mat is particularly suitable for use as a helicopter landing mat, in conditions where dust, sand, snow, water or other particles or liquids might otherwise cause a disturbance resulting in loss of visibility, damage or wear to parts of the helicopter, and injury or damage to nearby people or equipment.

In one embodiment, the canopy of the umbrella is constructed from material having two surfaces performing different functions. In one embodiment, the umbrella of the present invention contains a mechanism adapted to collapse the umbrella in a manner that turns the canopy inside out when in the collapsed position, so as to hide the water-resistant surface of the canopy and expose the absorbent surface. The absorbent surface then becomes naturally accessible for use when the umbrella is in the collapsed position.

Abstract: A self-storing combination blanket and neck roll assembly which can be draped over a person and supported on a seat back, having a flat, generally rectangular fabric panel with two sides and four side edges, a flexible neck roll centrally located and removably disposed adjacent to a portion of the fabric panel, disposed adjacent to one of the side edges and a pouch having an opening which is attached to a side edge of the fabric panel adjacent to the neck roll so that the opening of the pouch opens towards one of the sides of the fabric panel. The fabric panel and neck roll are movable between a folded stored position within the pouch and an open position disposed exteriorly of the pouch. When the assembly is in its open position, the opening of the pouch can be received over and atop of a seat back.

Abstract: Drop cloth systems include drop cloths having edge supports extending along two opposite edges of the drop cloths for preventing folding of the opposite edges along which the edge supports extend. Extending between the edge supports is at least one spring strip having the property of being substantially straight when unwound to maintain the drop cloths substantially spread out on the surface area to be protected. Also the spring strips have the property of being windable to permit the drop cloths to be rolled up from one of the opposite edges along which the edge supports extend for easy storage and transportation when not in use.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for fabricating an anti-fatigue mat that employs a layer of resilient gel material that exhibits a first durometer. The method employs a frame assembly that receives a flexible support sheet. The frame assembly includes an aperture that receives a layer of heated liquid gel which cools to form the layer of resilient gel material exhibiting the first durometer. In one embodiment, a barrier layer exhibiting a second durometer is situated on the gel layer that exhibits the first durometer. In one embodiment, the barrier layer prevents the flow of oils from the gel layer to a flexible base sheet disposed on the barrier layer. In another embodiment, the flexible base sheet may exhibit a second durometer. In either embodiment, the layers exhibiting the first and second durometer cooperate to influence the feel of the mat to the user.

The mat is generally circular in shape when in the working position and is foldable to a generally rectangular shape when in the transport position. The exemplary embodiment of the mat includes load-bearing strips strategically positioned on the first side to support the mat when it is in the transport position. Load-bearing strips may also be positioned around the perimeter of an integrated pocket to reduce the wear on the main body of the mat. Strap loops, gripping surfaces, affixing straps, and zippered pockets may also be affixed to either the first or second side. Carry straps may be engaged with strap loops to ease transportation of the mat. In a second embodiment of the mat, the mat may be folded into a backpack in the transport position.

The child management system comprises a mat having a top and bottom surface, a timing device mounted on the mat and set for a pre-determined amount of time, and a pressure sensitive sensor embedded within the mat electronically connected to the timing device such that the timing device counts down a predetermined amount of time while a child is activating the pressure sensitive sensor.
