Abstract: A biodegradable environment protective pad and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes the steps of: leveling a middle net fabric; inserting the middle net fabric between two rollers for transporting the middle net fabric; coating a polymeric material on the middle net fabric; baking the middle net fabric to foam or cure the coated polymeric material; and cooling the middle net fabric to harden the polymeric material.

Abstract: The present invention is an article comprising a loop of inelastic material for use by a person to perform an exercise on a mat and that is capable of holding a rolled mat. If the exercise is yoga, the loop is a multi-functional device that can be used a strap, a cushion, a slip-prevention article and as a towel. Stitching can be provided to provide visual guidance for proper posture. The loop has a length equal to or greater than 15 inches such that it can be knotted by the person to hold the rolled mat either by hand or across the shoulder before and after yoga.

Abstract: A beach towel with two uniquely positioned arm slots allowing a persons arms to pass though the arm slots enabling one to wear the beach towel on his or her shoulders and back as a cover-up. Also, the beach towel will have the same practical qualities such as moisture absorption, ability to sit upon, lay upon and so on one would expects from a traditional beach towel with the advantage of using as a cover-up if one so desires.

Abstract: A recreational blanket configured to maintain positional stability when superposed on a suitable support structure during periods of increased wind velocity. The recreational blanket further includes a body that is configured in a substantially planar manner. A plurality of compartments integrally formed with the body are configured to receive material therein in order to increase the weight of the recreational blanket. The compartments are proximate the peripheral edge of the body. The recreational blanket further includes a storage container configured to receive objects therein that is substantially water resistant.

Abstract: A combination toy chair and sleeping bag includes a toy chair having a base with an enclosed storage volume, a back, and a sleeping bag capable of being stored within the storage volume. The combination toy chair and sleeping bag is convertible between a chair configuration and a bedding configuration. The back may be made to resemble an animal, such as a bear.

Abstract: The weighted octagonal beach towel, includes a flexible base made of towel material, having a generally octagonal periphery with eight major sides and each of the eight major sides having an elongated sealed pocket adjacent its periphery. It also includes eight separate rope segments, one of each being contained within one of each of the elongated sealed pockets. The eight major sides are preferably equal in length to one another. In many preferred embodiments, the weighted octagonal beach towel has an imaginary center point and the distance between opposite major sides is within the range of about 5.5 feet to about 7.5 feet, with about 7 feet being preferred.

With the adjustable drawstring fully extended, and said garment in a flat position it may be used to recline and for drying the hair or skin of the user.

Abstract: The present invention is an infant play mat. This play mat is designed so that it is light-weight and easily portable. The play mat includes a cushioned base and at least two arching supports that are capable of folding. Each support arch is detachably coupled to two height extension members that are detachably coupled to the base. The height extension members allow the height of the supports to be increased or decreased relative to the base so that the mat can be used by infants of various sizes and ages. In one embodiment each support includes at least two flexible joints which enable the support to be folded compactly so as to provide enhanced portability. The mat can be easily folded by detaching the supports and/or height extension members from the base so that both the supports and the base can be folded then placed into a carrying case.

Abstract: A blanket or mat assembly includes a panel having a foldable frame member that has a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a sheet material substantially covering the frame member when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation, with the sheet material assuming the unfolded orientation of its associated frame member. The assembly further includes a covering having a top portion, a peripheral edge, an opening defined by the peripheral edge, and an interior, with the panel retained inside the interior and accessing the interior of the covering via the opening. The covering assumes the configuration of the panel when the panel is retained inside the interior of the covering. The covering and the panel can be twisted and folded to the folded orientation of the frame member to reduce the overall size of the covering and the panel.

Abstract: A collapsible apparatus is provided that includes a frame configured to form a closed loop, the frame being moveable between a coiled configuration and an uncoiled configuration. A sleeve is configured to receive the frame and to define an opening within at least a portion of the closed loop. An attachment mechanism is coupled substantially about the periphery of the sleeve. A fabric member is removably coupled to the sleeve such that it is easily removed. A method of making mats according to an embodiment of the invention includes cutting fabric members from a first sheet of material, cutting body membranes from a second sheet of material such that the amount of excess material from the second sheet of material between adjacent body membranes is minimized, and attaching one of the body membranes to one of the fabric members.

Abstract: A rectangular flexible fabric sheet has mounted corner holders. A horizontally oriented support is engaged with the corner holders for securing the sheet so as to enable a person to recline on the sheet. A pillow having a circular fabric outer cover is positioned at one end of the sheet. The pillow is split into two portions sharing the outer cover; each one of the portions providing a planar fabric inner panel. The inner panels share a common edge functional as a hinge enabling the two portions to assume an unfolded attitude wherein the inner panels lie abutting the sheet for supporting the neck and head of the reclining person, and a folded attitude wherein the inner panels mutually abut and thereby provide a more robust pillow.

Abstract: An inexpensive enclosure providing a protected space on a beach, lawn or the like. An inflatable tube forms a wall surrounding a space having an open end, so that a user is shielded from small kicked or thrown material or objects, running pets and the like. The tubular wall has flaps extending from its bottom surface, with pouches or separate tubes which a user fills at the site to hold the enclosure in place. The enclosure may have a floor, and may have attachment portions for removably connecting an extension unit having a floor which extends beyond the open end of the space between side portions of the wall.

Abstract: A combination beach bag and beach mat for storing and transporting personal items for leisure, camping, travel, vacation, swimming pool and beach going excursions includes an upper storage section having an inner storage cavity for containing a towel and a beach mat therein, and the beach mat integrally attached to the storage section and easily drawn out and unfolded from the inner storage cavity for disposition on the ground or for covering various types of chairs, and both the storage section and the beach mat having integrally attached thereto accessory pouches or pockets that can be insulated for the storage of other items such as keys, wallets, reading material, and beverage containers. The beach mat and the accessory pouches are easily folded back into the inner storage cavity of the upper storage section whereupon the upper storage section functions as a beach bag for convenient transport by draping a carrying strap attached to the upper storage section over the individual's shoulder.

Abstract: A portable privacy enclosure for sunbathing and other applications includes a bottom panel for engaging the ground or other underlying surface. A first pair of side panels are foldably attached to one longitudinal side of the bottom panel and a second pair of side panels are similarly attached to an opposite side of the bottom panel. A pair of opposing end panels are foldably attached to respective ends of the bottom panel. Each end panel extends between a respective opposing pair of the side panels. Fasteners are provided for releasably interconnecting each adjoining pair of vertical panels to hold the enclosure in an assembled condition.

Abstract: A convertible towel, for use by a user having a shoulder and a waist. The convertible towel includes a towel portion and a shoulder strap. The towel portion is selectively folded longitudinally and maintained in that once folded position by a zipper, then folded transversely and maintained in that twice folded position by secondary fasteners, and then folded transversely and maintained in that thrice folded position by primary fasteners. The thrice-folded towel portion is in a compact rectangular form that is then connected to the shoulder strap so that it can be carried by the user in a hands-free manner. In the compact rectangular form, multiple storage compartments are provided that are selectively accessible by the zipper. The shoulder strap preferably includes a fanny pack for containing personal items, such that the shoulder strap may be detached from the towel portion and extended around the waist of the user.

Abstract: A connector assembly that enables a rope or other load to be attached to a tarp or other sheet material. The assembly includes male and female connector members having broad, flat base surfaces for engaging the material of the tarp from opposite sides. The male connector member has a sharply pointed screw portion for penetrating through the material of the tarp, and the female connector member has a threaded socket for receiving the screw portion of the male connector member. At least one of the connector members includes a projecting flange portion having an opening or hook for attachment of the rope or other load. The flange portions are flattened for being gripped between the thumb and forefinger when tightening/loosening the assembly. The grip faces of the connector members include raised protuberances that prevent accidental loosening during use.

Abstract: A mat/carrier foldable between a substantially flat configuration and a storage configuration is provided. The mat/carrier comprises a mat/carrier component having a base panel, a plurality of side panels, and at least one intermediate panel intermediate adjacent side panels. A first set of folds separates each panel from its adjacent panels to facilitate re-orientation of each panel relative to its adjacent panels so as to form a container configuration. A second set of folds in at least some of the panels facilitate at least partial collapsing of the mat/carrier component from the container configuration to a smaller container configuration.

At least a portion of the support portion is removably attached to the main body portion, and at least a portion is permanently attached to the main body portion. The storage portion is adapted to retain personal items, such as a wallet, key, comb, glasses, sunscreen lotion, book, and the like. The storage portion may be totally removable from the main body portion.

Abstract: An assembly includes an anchor formed from non-corrosive material that includes an elongated stake section provided with a rectilinear spine traveling along an entire length thereof. The stake section has a pair of monolithically formed shoulders diverging forwardly and away from the spine. The shoulders include rectilinear edges equidistantly spaced from the spine so that the stake section defines an elbow-shaped cross-section. The stake section has a coupling monolithically formed with a top end thereof that has a rigid front face and an open rear face. A clamp section is connected to the coupling that can be pivoted about an axis defined orthogonal to the spine. The clamp section is provided with a cup holder monolithically formed therewith for supporting a beverage at an elevated position above the ground surface. The clamp section further has decorative surface indicia imprinted thereon which are associated with beach paraphernalia.

A cap and catch hook are attached to the shaft's opposing end. A lanyard is inserted through a lanyard hole in the shaft's opposing end. The cap has a viewing notch in its edge located above the catch hook. The catch hook is L-shaped and is adapted to receive a beach towel. The user can easily insert shaft 12 into sand by applying pressure to the top of the cap 14 and remove the shaft 12 by pulling on lanyard 24.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sleeping means which can be moved between the storage and in-use conditions. The sleeping means typically comprise a deformable mattress which is inflatable and which can be located within with an envelope formed of sheet material and, attached to the sheet material is a cover portion which, with the sheet material of the mattress define a sleeping area into which a person can move. The cover portion can be permanently attached to the sleeping means but further edges of the same can be selectively attached using zips or other fastening means. An additional portion of sheet material can be provided which can be selectively used to act as a storage pocket.

Abstract: A cover assembly for a foldable sleeping mat includes a mat case with top and bottom fabric panels having joined side edges and joined end edges. The bottom panel defines a lateral opening receiving the sleeping mat inside the mat case. A blanket is attached to one end of the mat case, and has a free end adapted for covering a user lying on the sleeping mat. A pocket is provided for releasably holding the free end of the blanket to the mat case with the blanket in a substantially spread out condition over the sleeping mat. The blanket, mat case, and sleeping mat are folded together in overlying sections when storing the sleeping mat for later use.

Abstract: The invention is a molded flexible heavy-duty floor mat with attached metal wear plates designed to fit in the floor compartment area of a car, van, pick-up truck, sport utility or work vehicle. The floor mat surface is texturized with raised protrusions and ridges to provide non-slip shoe traction and shoe scraping surfaces. The floor mat has recessed areas, indentations, and channels to collect scraped or loosened debris and moisture. A peripheral double lip or wall contains the debris and moisture on the floor mat. The attached wear plates are texturized for additional scraping and traction purposes and are attached in areas of the floor mat which are most susceptible to wear, such as near the vehicle pedals and in the stepping area of the floor mat. The floor mat has back gripping area to secure and maintain the mat against the vehicle floor. The mat may be readily cleaned by removing the entire mat out from the vehicle.

Abstract: A towel to tote bag convertible article is disclosed that comprises a towel, preferably a sports towel, having a first end region, a second end region and an intermediate region between the first and second end regions. A pocket provided at and across the first end region, has an opening facing the second end region and is sized to receive and contain the second end region and the intermediate region, the pocket being configured for being turned inside out to form a tote bag containing the second end region and the intermediate region. A zipper is provided for enabling the closing of the pocket opening before and after the pocket is turned inside out. A decorative or waterproof lining may be attached to the pocket to form the outside of the tote bag when the pocket is turned inside out. A tote bag carrying strap is installed inside the pocket. A method of making the convertible article is also disclosed.

Abstract: A nonwoven fabric protective cover article disclosed comprises a top surface, a bottom surface, at least one edge, and at least one weight joined thereto. The nonwoven fabric of the protective cover article is hydrophobic and has a basis weight from between about 0.15 osy to about 8.0 osy, an air permeability from about 60 ft3/min/ft2 to about 110 ft3/min/ft2, and stain resistance from about 4 to about 5 for blueberry, instant coffee, gravy, and wine.
