Abstract: An infant apparatus includes a top panel and a bottom panel having securing means that form an aperture between the top panel and the bottom panel. A longitudinally extending wall connects the top panel and the bottom panel forming at least a first leg holding section and a second leg holding section. The bottom panel further includes a sleeping surface securing means.

Abstract: A device for securing a pillow or other support to a bed includes a pocket configured to receive a pillow insert, a tail comprising a proximal end and a distal end with the tail connected to the pocket at the proximal end. The device further includes a retention element located near the distal end of the tail. The retention element is further configured to retain the pillow insert relative to the bed by tucking the retention element under the mattress of the bed.

Abstract: An improved duvet and duvet cover combination having a two piece strap attached to the duvet that extends through slits in the duvet cover to encircle a mattress when connected to each other. The duvet cover comprises tie fasteners that correspond to loops located on the duvet, such that, when the ties are releasably fastened to the loops, the duvet is constrained within the duvet cover.

Abstract: A linen fastener, including: a hub; and a magnet at least partially disposed within the hub. The hub is arranged to be placed against a first exterior surface of layered linens such that magnetic force from the magnet engages an element located on a second exterior surface of the layered linens, opposite the first exterior surface, to clamp the layered linens between the hub and the element. A method of fastening linen using a fastener including a hub and a magnet at least partially disposed within the hub, including: placing the hub against a first exterior surface of layered linens; engaging, with magnetic force from the magnet, an element located on a second exterior surface of the layered linens, opposite the first exterior surface; and clamping the layered linens between the hub and the element.

Abstract: A quilt-style sleeping bag including clip, buckles, snaps, hook and loop material, buttons or any other suitable attachment means secured with the bag proximate the left and right longitudinal edges of the bag that are adapted to cooperatively couple with a cord, strap, string, rope or cable (hereafter collectively referred to as “cords”) that extends widthwise across a sleeping pad is described. The clips in conjunction with the complimentary cords permit a user to secure the left and right edges of the bag to the top side of the sleeping pad and furthermore, hold the edges of the bag against the top side of the sleeping pad. Accordingly, the ability of the edges to lift up and permit cold air to enter the interior volume of the bag and the pad combination is minimized, despite normal movements of a user during sleep.

In exemplary embodiments, a semi-fitted blanket is provided that may comprise a fitted portion, defined by a distal end and a first and second side edge of the blanket, comprising a securing means incorporated along an outer edge of the blanket, along a perimeter of the fitted portion, and a remainder of the fitted portion, being free of seams and stitching for purposes of fitting to the contour of a mattress; and a non-fitted portion, defined by an end of the blanket opposing the distal end.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for holding a pillow on an upwardly extending end of a mattress having a single sheet of material having a upper end and a lower end along with a first side and a second side having an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower end is folded back upon itself to form an enclosure so that the upper surfaces of the folded section are adjacent to each other having a pillow disposed in the enclosure. The upper end is wrapped around the upwardly extended end of the mattress, using straps to hold the upper end in place.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a bedsheet comprising a non-fitted portion and a fitted portion for securing the bedsheet onto one end of a mattress, and a method for manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, a semi-fitted bedsheet comprises a seamless fitted portion, a non-fitted portion, and a securing means incorporated along an edge of the fitted portion. In another embodiment, a semi-fitted bedsheet further comprises a position indicator for identifying a proper positioning of the bedsheet on a mattress.

Abstract: Protective assemblies for zippers described may include a protective barrier for preventing migration of particles and/or organisms between opposite surfaces of the barrier. When a zipper assembly is brought to a closed position, a zipper slider may form a connection with the barrier resulting in an obstruction to block infiltration of small particles or organisms (e.g., bed bugs, allergens, dust mites, small particles, etc.). The barrier may be attached to an article, such as a padded material for use with a bedding/furniture cover. In some embodiments, a cover may be implemented to enclose a portion of the zipper slider. The barrier may include one or more padding materials for preventing migration of small particles or organisms past obstructions formed by the padding material(s).

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bed sheet and to an apparatus for securing a bed sheet or fitted sheet to a mattress. The bed sheet and apparatus, namely a bed sheet retainer set, preferably comprise a fitted bed sheet having four corners and a flat sheet. Both the fitted sheet and flat sheet are placed on a mattress above a box spring. The bed sheet retainer set preferably comprises a fitted sheet restrictor having cylinder with a slot and a base for placement between the mattress and box spring, four corner grips for use on the fitted sheet and two flat sheet grips for use with the flat sheet. The corner grips and flat sheet grips are preferably made of machine-washable foam with a rougher surface. The corner grips preferably each have a semi-circular base and a rounded corner wall. The flat sheet grips preferably have an hour-glass shape and rounded edges.

Abstract: A magnetic bedding securing system is disclosed that may releasably secure a blanket or other piece of bedding in a desired position on a bed, while allowing an individual to enter or leave the bed easily. The magnetic bedding securing system may include a first piece of bedding and a second piece of bedding. A first magnet may be disposed in the first piece bedding. A second magnet may be attached to the second piece of bedding. The second piece of bedding may be configured to be disposed atop the bed and to receive the first piece of bedding. Once the first magnet is aligned over the second magnet an attraction force between the first magnet and the second magnet may maintain the first piece of the bedding in the desired position.

Abstract: An article of bedding comprising a bottom sheet (11) having side walls (12) thus to form a box sheet to be placed elastically over a mattress (10), and a top cover (14) having its edges attached to those of the bottom sheet (11) by means of a gusset (16). A sliding clasp fastener or the like (15) is provided to attach the edges of the bottom sheet and top cover together respectively when the article is not in use. A pillowcase (18) is permanently or removably attached to one end of the sheet and has an opening for insertion and removal of a pillow. The entire article, possibly excluding the pillow, is preferably of machine washable materials. An article made in this way ensures that the top cover which may contain a duvet, cannot slide off the bed inadvertently and therefore the occupant, most likely a child, is kept warm and safe from falling out of bed whilst having freedom of movement within the enclosure formed by the bottom sheet and top cover.

Abstract: A bed sheet attachment system with a pair of expansion panel assemblies that attaches a top cover to a bottom sheet by a plurality of panel strips connected by a plurality of fastener strips. The fastener strips are prevented from opening during sleep by a plurality of snap tabs. The plurality of panel strips provides increased cubic capacity between the top cover and bottom sheet for the sleeper to slip into and move within the bed. The plurality of snap tabs allows the panel strips to be separated at discrete lengths to accommodate the sleeper's needs and desires for the arrangement of the top cover during sleep. The bed sheet attachment system simplifies the daily making of the bed by maintaining the proper position of the top cover during sleep so that the user merely smoothes out the wrinkles on the top cover upon arising.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bed sheet attachment system that allows a user to quickly and easily change bed sheets. In one embodiment, the fitted sheet of a bed comprises an upper surface and at least one attachment member disposed on the upper surface. A quick-change sheet having upper and lower surfaces also is provided, wherein at least one attachment member is disposed on the lower surface of the quick-change sheet. In use, the attachment member of the quick-change sheet is configured to releasably mate with the attachment member of the fitted sheet, thereby facilitating the changing of the quick-change sheet. Further, at least one pocket member may be releasably coupled to the fitted sheet, thereby providing one or more storage locations in close proximity to the bed.

Abstract: A swaddle wrap to calm and comfort an infant has two panels. One that is both wide and long enough to wrap entirely both of the infant's arms and a second one to then wrap around the infant's torso and secured arms that then are attached between the legs. Hook and loop fasteners are used to secure the arm restraints, the swaddle and to attach both panels between the legs.

Abstract: A self-forming mattress cover including a mattress gusset with a drawstring is provided. The gusset includes a sleeve attached to the gusset along a fold location. A drawstring is disposed within the sleeve. Ends of the drawstring are pulled into tension, thereby reducing the perimeter of the gusset at the fold location and drawing the gusset inward toward the center of the mattress. The gusset is formed to corner positions of the mattress by stretching and/or bunching of gusset material as tension is applied. The ends of the drawstring are secured to retain the tension state. A cushioned quilt top is attached to a free edge of the gusset. The self-forming mattress cover conforms to corner positions of a mattress without the need for mitering, ruffling, pleating, or sewing seams at the corner positions. The self-forming mattress cover also ensures proper alignment of the cushioned quilt with the mattress body.

Abstract: A mattress cover for covering a portion of a mattress that generally has a top surface and a plurality of side panels. The mattress cover generally comprises a waterproof cover, a fabric cover and at least one fastener to secure the fabric cover to the waterproof cover. The waterproof cover has at least one waterproof layer or portion for covering at least a portion of the top surface of the mattress. The at least one waterproof layer or portion has a plurality of edges. The fabric cover is removably securable to the waterproof cover.

Abstract: A bed sheet clamp includes a first clamp plate and a second clamp plate. The first clamp plate and second clamp plate are hinged or joined at 90 degrees in a fixed manner. The bed sheet clamp features a simple structure. It is necessary to put the edge of a bed sheet into the head of a bed or near the wall, just insert the edge of the bed sheet into the two hinged clamp plates, coil it, and insert both the bed sheet clamp and the bed sheet into the gap near the head of the bed or the wall. For any part of the bed sheet protruding out of the mattress, use the bed sheet clamp joined at 90 degrees. The use of the bed sheet clamp not only facilitates making the bed, but also increases the force retaining the edge of the bed sheet, so that the bed sheet is tightened and the properly arranged bed sheet will not get loose easily. In this way, one can make the bed clean and tidy.

Abstract: An easily laundered one piece sofa protector and bedding substitute for couches and sofas having a fitted sheet type element conjoined to a flat sheet in such a way to stay in place while the sofa occupant sleeps. Alternately, the flat sheet may be pulled away from the fitted sheet and laid against the back sofa cushions to protect them from soiling. Additionally, a sewn in pouch for the temporary retention of a typical throw pillow is provided so that the throw pillow may be used as a sleeping pillow without soiling the surface of the throw pillow.

Abstract: A device to prevent a person lying on a bed from falling off the bed, while allowing the person freedom to change sleeping positions and to enter and exit a bed without assistance. This device consists of a washable fabric cover with four cylinder sleeves on each longitudinal side of cover. An elongated support member is inserted into one of the cylinder sleeves on each side of cover. The elongated support member and cover are removably held in place along each longitudinal side of a mattress by brackets. The brackets are anchored between a box springs and a frame of a bed.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling the flow of fluid for an inflatable mattress having multiple, non-interconnected inflatable chambers and a moveable inflatable limb elevation chamber. Each inflatable chamber can be selectively inflated and deflated to vary the pressure exerted from the mattress surface to selected areas of a human body, thereby preventing the formation of decubitus ulcers. The limb elevation chamber may also be selectively inflated and deflated as well being positioned at any desired portion of the inflatable mattress in order to raise one or more human limbs off the surface of the mattress.

Abstract: A swaddle blanket and mattress attachment device. The swaddle blanket includes a top end and a bottom end with a pocket disposed at the bottom end and configured to enclose an infants legs. A first side of the blanket is configured to wrap over the infant in one direction and a second side of the blanket is configured to wrap over the infant and the first side in the other direction. A fastener is disposed on the second side of the blanket and is configured to secure the second side in place over the first side. At least one attachment strap is secured to the swaddle blanket. When the blanket is in an attachment position the attachment strap extends away from the swaddle blanket. The attachment strap including a first mating pair fastener. The mattress attachment device is configured to be secured to a sleeping surface. The mattress attachment device includes at least one second mating pair fastener that is securable to the first mating pair fastener.

Abstract: A self-forming mattress cover including a mattress gusset with a drawstring is provided. The gusset includes a sleeve attached to the gusset along a fold location. A drawstring is disposed within the sleeve. Ends of the drawstring are pulled into tension, thereby reducing the perimeter of the gusset at the fold location and drawing the gusset inward toward the center of the mattress. Abstract: Disclosed is a removable bed covering assembly including both a fitted covering and a top covering which can be converted into a sleeping bag. The top covering is secured to the bed using a fitted covering attached to the mattress of the bed. The top covering and fitted covering can be attached to each via a zipper assembly. Once the top covering is removed it can be assembled into a sleeping bag via a second zipper assembly.

Abstract: A retaining apparatus for retaining a liquid-absorptive sheet includes a lower layer and an upper layer having substantially the same dimensions as the lower layer. Sandwiched between the two layers are first plurality of magnetic members arranged along the perimeter of the lower layer and a second plurality of magnetic members, opposite in polarity to said first plurality of magnetic members, arranged adjacent to the first plurality of magnetic members.

Abstract: A duvet clamp is disclosed which enables a duvet to be readily fitted within a duvet cover. The clamp includes a frame that is configurable to receive a portion of a mattress, and at least one clamping arm for clamping the duvet and the duvet cover.

Abstract: A bed clothing assembly for a mattress including a mattress band and a unitary sheet assembly that is removably attachable to the mattress band for attaching and changing bedding. The mattress band encircles the sidewall of the mattress, and includes upper and lower edge portions that extending inwardly and continuously around the peripheral edges of the top and bottom surfaces of the mattress, respectively, when the mattress band is installed on the mattress. The unitary sheet assembly includes a bottom sheet and top sheet connected together as one unit. A plurality of fasteners around the bottom sheet permit the detachable securment of the bottom sheet to the mattress band to facilitate placing the unitary sheet assembly on the mattress. This particular construction and arrangement is advantageous to a person that is physically disabled and permits easy changing of bedding without having to lift the mattress.

Abstract: A resting method and apparatus for a young child. The young child can be either a newborn, infant, or toddler. The resting apparatus will attach to a cushion such as a mattress, or other back supporting device which is generally associated with a crib or other child's sleeping environmental structure. The resting apparatus has a base sheet or cover which attaches to the cushion. On top of the base cover is attached a pouch section. The pouch section is sized to allow the child to fit comfortably within the interior of the pouch from the child's neck to the child's feet. The pouch fits securely against the outer surface area of the child. The child is laid on its back within the pouch. The arms and legs are held in longitudinal alignment within the pouch. The pouch is designed to restrain the child from overturning from its back position to a front facing position.

Abstract: A ventilated mattress pad for supporting an occupant includes a first and second layer of spacer fabric attached with a zipper to a fitted sheet or mattress cover or the mattress providing ventilation of excessive body heat and moisture away from the body and out into the room air. Integration of the ventilated pad to the sheet or mattress pad provides consistent location of the pad under the occupant while minimizing installation, removal time and effort. The ventilated pad is washable and can be re-attached to a new sheet or mattress cover when the sheet or mattress pad is worn out or damaged. The pad also reduces the average pressure on the skin surface.

Abstract: The securing layer such as a fitted sheet is modified to provide one half of a fastener, such as a zipper, and a separable, absorbent panel as adapted to overlay the top surface of a mattress and to underlay and be in direct contact of the occupant on the mattress. The separable, absorbent panel includes another fastener portion, such as the other side of a zipper, so as to secure the absorbent panel to the securing layer. The first and second fastener portions are to be located on the side surface of the mattress at the top, outer circumference of the mattress when the securing layer is applied to the mattress. In this manner, the fastener cannot be easily accessed by an infant so as to prevent the infant from loosening and becoming entangled in the absorbent panel. However, the absorbent panel is easily removed for quick changes in case the occupant of the mattress such as a baby, soils the absorbent panel.

Abstract: A sheet strap system is disclosed having a bottom sheet strap with Velcro corner straps that attach to securing band segments located at the inner corners of the fitted sheet. The mattress is tightly secured between the bottom sheet strap and the fitted sheet once the Velcro corner straps are in a folded locking position with the fitted sheet. The sheet strap system is safe, easy to construct, easy to apply and remove without any lifting of the mattress. The sheet strap system is particularly suited for use in conjunction with crib mattresses.

Its primary function is to secure the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle onto a box springs of a bed set when it is mounted. Abstract: The Mattress Wrap Bedding System holds bedding in place over deep mattresses. Standard-sized mattresses are accommodated including twin, full, queen, eastern king and California king. Easy changing of the bed clothes is achieved for deep heavy mattresses. Mattresses using this system can be on box springs, other foundations, platform beds, futon beds, and other flat surfaces such as steel bed platforms in truck cabs. The separable, absorbent panel includes another fastener portion, such as the other side of a zipper, so as to secure the absorbent panel to the securing layer. The first and second fastener portions are to be located on the side surface of the mattress at the top, outer circumference of the mattress when the securing layer is applied to the mattress. In this manner, the fastener cannot be easily accessed by an infant so as to prevent the infant from loosening and becoming entangled in the absorbent panel. However, the absorbent panel is easily removed for quick changes in case the occupant of the mattress, such as a baby, soils the absorbent panel.

Abstract: A retaining device adaptable to place a bed cover easily and quickly in an accurate and secure position upon a bed comprises an elongated clamping component attachable at an end of a bed cover with cooperating symbols placed on the bed cover and clamping component to guide the positioning of the clamping component to guide the positioning of the clamping accurately to a chosen position. The clamping device comprises elongated members securely clamping an end portion of a bed cover for placement of the attached end of the bed cover beneath a mattress member according to said chosen location.

Abstract: A disposable diaper changing pad for positioning on a supporting structure such as a diaper changing table provides a barrier between the diaper changing table and a child positioned on the top surface of the pad. The changing pad includes a liquid absorbent material and a latent elasticity formed in the pad proximate a peripheral edge of the pad. The pad can be stretched over a top surface of the table and contract against the table so that the pad maintains complete coverage over the top surface of the changing table. The latent elasticity can be provided by an elastic band positioned within the pad.

Abstract: A baby bag that is convertible to a baby carrier includes a base that is movable between a folded configuration for storage and transport of the baby bag, and an unfolded configuration for receiving a baby. In an embodiment, a harness is connected to the base for restraining a baby received upon the base such that a back of the baby is maintained in close proximity to the base. In the same or another embodiment, a shoulder strap is attached to the base for suspension of the base, whereby a baby received upon the base may be carried by a person utilizing the shoulder strap.

Abstract: A retaining device adaptable to place a bed cover easily and quickly in an accurate and secure position upon a bed comprises an elongated clamping component attachable at an end of a bed cover with cooperating symbols placed on the bed cover and clamping component to guide the positioning of the clamping component to guide the positioning of the clamping accurately to a chosen position. The clamping device comprises elongated members securely clamping an end portion of a bed cover for placement of the attached end of the bed cover beneath a mattress member according to said chosen location.
