Patent number: 4809377Abstract: A device for retaining sheets about the edge of a mattress is adapted to be placed between the mattress and a support surface with a portion of the sheet received in a channel-like recess of the retainer and held therein to restrict undesired withdrawal of the sheet therefrom. The retainer has a flat shank portion and a downwardly directed lip at one end thereof with the lip defining a recess for receiving a portion of the sheet therebehind. In a modified structure the sheet retainer includes a first and second member which are movable from a sheet retaining position to a non-sheet retaining position to facilitate insertion of a sheet therewithin. The members define a channel recess which receives a portion of the other member, with the members cooperating to restrict inadvertent withdrawal of the sheet from the retainer when received in the device.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1987Date of Patent: March 7, 1989Inventor: Gerald Lynn

Patent number: 4807316Abstract: An improved dust ruffle which can be placed on the bedding without first removing the bedding mattress from the box spring. The dust ruffle has interlining strips which are tucked between the mattress and box spring around the perimeter of the bed. The inside edge of the interlining has a relatively inelastic tape sewn to it which is used for straightening the dust ruffle by exerting tension on it. Pull loops may be provided attached to the tape at the inside corners of the interlining to facilitate tensioning of the tape for straightening. The ends of the tape may be tied together using a knot or by crossing the ends and securing them by snap type fasteners or other fasteners.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1987Date of Patent: February 28, 1989Inventor: Glendola R. Patent number: 4793012Abstract: A lounge chair with a beach mat resting upon the lounge chair in which the beach mat has a flap at one end which extends for a distance of 1/5 to 1/6 of the length of the beach mat and which accommodates the end of the back of the lounge chair to secure the beach mat on the lounge chair. The mat may be removed from the lounge chair and folded on the side of the flap four or five times to provide a flat roll, and folded one additional time to place the mat in the flap. The flap may thereafter be folded along the longitudinal axis of the mat and fasteners are provided to secure the mat in folded position, thus exposing the open end of the flap to receive articles.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1986Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Inventor: Victor J.
