  • Patent number: 5345742
Abstract: The force transfer body comprises a first, essentially annular partial body, preferably of cast steel, and a second partial body, preferably of a castable mortar mass capable of hardening. The second partial body is cast in one piece with the first partial body. An inner conical aperture is lined with a funnel-shaped plastic part, which overlaps at least a section of the first partial body. The first partial body has an abutting surface, turned away from the part of the structure, serving the firm contact with an anchor head containing individual members. The prestressing forces arising concentratedly with the anchorage are conveyed from the anchor head via the first partial body into the second partial body, and from there into the part of the structure. The second partial body is designed essentially frustoconical, the truncated cone extending, tapering, away from the first partial body. In the area of the outer generated surface of the second partial body there is a circumferential constriction.

In this mould locking dowel (11) intended for concrete and of easy handling, the holes (26) for the pins (29) are arranged in the front end areas of the dowel sleeve (21) according to a sharp angle with respect to the longitudinal axis (27) of the dowel sleeve (21) so that the pins (29) penetrate, when in the final drive-in state, only on a portion of the diameter thereof in the concrete and that they are during the drive-in motion, brought throughout their length into the holes (26) arranged in part as an open channel (28) in the dowel sleeve (21).

  • Patent number: 4658558
Abstract: A roof membrane anchoring system in accordance with the present invention includes an anchoring plate with a substantially planar bottom surface and convexly radiused top surface that can be attached to an existing structure. The anchoring plate is disk-shaped and has a cylindrical axial opening in the center into which a lip and a bottom flange extend to form a channel. A cap with a resilient cylindrical body having V-shaped flanges at the bottom and either a disk or ring attached to the top is inserted into the anchoring plate once a roofing membrane is inserted into the axial opening in the plate. The resilient cylindrical body has a cylindrical cavity therein and compression cuts which extend through the body and to the V-shaped flange to allow for the resilient body to assume a first state wherein the greatest diametrical dimension of the resilient cylindrical body and the V-shaped flange is slightly less than the inside diameter of the lip extending into the axial opening.

  • Patent number: 4655015
Abstract: The invention relates to an anchor tie member for use in carrying prefabricated concrete components, comprising a threaded portion for connecting the tie member to a lifting device and a tie rod having two end portions the first of which is secured to said threaded portion and the second of which is shaped so as to form at least one undulation therein. The arcuate shapes may be produced by a cold forming method and the presence of the undulation prevents the anchor tie from tearing out of the concrete while it is being transported and ensures a large breakout cone such that considerable forces may be withstood.

  • Patent number: 4637175
Abstract: An arrangment for mounting pipes and the like to a concrete wall or slab comprises a fastening device constructed in the manner of building blocks and consisting of prefabricated parts. A specially designed concrete anchor is inserted prior to pouring the concrete in a reinforcing matrix of a concrete slab or wall. It is possible thereby to keep the distance tolerances between the concrete anchors very small and to standardize all of the parts of the fastening construction, which particularly includes supporting rods, beams and diagonal rods.

  • Patent number: 4587788
Abstract: The fastening device is for securely joining opposing surfaces of two structural members. The fastening device provides for a flush joining of opposing surfaces of two structural members to maximize strength and appearance characteristics. The fastening device is comprised of an elongated, rigid member having a head portion at one end, and means to adjustably secure it to a structural member at its opposite end. A rigid plate member, for securement in a position aligned with a recessed or apertured portion of a second structural member, is provided to communicate with the elongated, rigid member. The rigid plate member has an aperture of a predetermined configuration consisting of an enlarged apertured portion and an elongated apertured portion having a lesser width, which communicates with the enlarged apertured portion.

The method comprising rolling a preselected thread onto selected deformed bar without machining the bar in preparation. The bar selection is made so that the average cross-sectional area of the bar with the formed thread is substantially equal to that of the unthreaded portions of the bar. The formed thread is of continuous and substantially constant pitch circle. The method is particularly applicable in manufacture of rock bolts and anchor bolts from hot rolled deformed bar.

  • Patent number: 4574551
Abstract: A load-bearing square plate usable in conjunction with an anchor bolt to firmly secure a layer of thermal insulation material to a roof surface to prevent the layer from being blown away as a result of strong updrafts. The plate has a center hole for receiving the shank of the anchor bolt to be driven by a hammer into the roof. The plate is embossed to define both a raised hub which surrounds the hole to catch the head of the hammer when it drives in the bolt and thereby prevent overdrive thereof, and a plate-reinforcing pattern to resist flexure thereof omnidirectionally. This embossed pattern is constituted by a four-sided marginal frame adjacent the edges of the plate, a star formed by radial spokes of progressively diminishing width extending from the hub to the corners of the frame, and a cross formed by short ribs lying between the radial spokes and extending from the hub to the midpoints of the frame sides.
