Abstract: Modular dwellings comprise attached wall members that enclose an interior area, and a central truss system extending across the dwelling. A lower roof member is supported by a truss system lower chord and wall member, and an upper roof member is supported by a truss system upper chord and a wall member. The ends of the truss system are supported by a vertical post. The upper part of a wall section and of the upper chord are in co-planar alignment and the lower chord and the upper part of another wall section are in co-planar alignment. Wall panels include an internal frame and a tongue on one side and a groove on the other side which mate with the tongues and grooves of other like panels to compress resiliently deformable seals. A frame portion positioned at the internal side of the extension supports the extension for proper alignment during construction.

Abstract: A shelter including a wall unit having walls. Each wall has a top edge, a bottom edge, and opposite side edges extending between the top and bottom edges. Each side edge is joined to a corresponding side edge of an adjacent wall to form a corner of the wall unit. The wall unit includes an access port in at least one wall. The shelter includes an upper rigid shell having a central portion surrounded by a channel for receiving the top edges of walls of the wall unit so the upper shell forms a roof of the shelter. The shelter includes a lower rigid shell having a central portion surrounded by a channel for receiving the bottom edges of walls of the wall unit so the lower shell forms a floor of the shelter.

  • Patent number: 8650807
Abstract: The present invention provides a system, or kit, of blow molded panels having integrally formed connectors which combine to form an enclosure, commonly in the form of a utility shed. The corner sections, roof, wall and floor panels are formed of blow molded plastic with integrally formed connectors to interlock with one another. In one embodiment, the ends of the wall panels have locking plugs that are constructed and arranged to fit into corresponding sockets and slide to an engaged position for interlocking cooperative engagement rigidly connecting the components together.

  • Patent number: 8615934
Abstract: A modular, panelized 12-foot wide shelter that has a standard 20-foot length. The shelter has a number of premade frame panels that are assembled over a deck floor. An outer covering of hard, 0.040? black ABS sheeting, which can be painted, is applied to the frame. The walls, roof arches, and end panels can be insulated to reduce or eliminate condensation. The floor is insulated as a standard feature. Each wall/roof section has one 5,000 pound rated galvanized anchor ring attached for tie-downs in windy locations, if needed. Because the entire shelter fits on a single pallet, it can be transported to remote sites by various methods—trucks, barges, helicopters, or snowmobiles. The shelter can be assembled by two workers in less than a day using simple tools. The structure is designed to be transported by truck, helicopter or snowmobile.
