Abstract: This invention has its object to provide an interlayer film for laminated glass an interlayer film for laminated glass which, when assembled into laminated glass, offers good transparency, weathering resistance, adhesion, penetration resistance and other characteristics, does not cause marginal whitening of laminated glass even exposed to a highly humid atmosphere, and free from the risk for a fire hazard in autoclaving or the problem associated with edge trimming and a laminate glass comprising said interlayer film. This invention is related to an interlayer film for laminated glass comprising a plasticized poly(vinyl acetal) resin film, wherein, when a laminated glass fabricated by interposing said interlayer film between a pair of glass sheets each 2.0 to 4.0 mm thick is allowed to sit in an environment of 80° C. and 95% relative humidity for 2 weeks, the distance of whitening from its edge is not greater than 7 mm, and when said interlayer film for laminated glass is allowed to sit at 150° C.

Abstract: By combining alkali earth oxide aluminate phosphors with an alkyd base, a rheology improver, another pigment, an anti-skin additive, and other ingredients, one can achieve a luminescent paint that has characteristics including tintability, applicability, viscosity, appearance and coloration comparable to a non-luminescent paint, with adequate protection from moisture and at a relatively reasonable cost. An alkyd base formulation is the preferred formulation that will allow for the highest amount of loading without compromising the quality of the paint with respect to appearance or applicability. The appearance of the paint in daylight has minimal orange peel or pockmark affects because of the ability of this formulation to suspend and diffuse the large luminescent particles effectively while applying the product. In addition because of the effectiveness of this formulation the appearance of the glow is even, consistent and undisrupted in a properly installed scenario.

  • Patent number: 6100321
Abstract: Ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid ionomers which have been modified with relatively low levels of a stearic acid moiety, particularly metal stearates and especially calcium stearate have improved resilience for a given level of hardness or PGA Compression values. The improvement is seen in bulk material when measurements are made on solid neat spheres. When used as cover material, the improvement is more manifest for softer material, and is less, or disappears, for typical mixed metal ionomer hard covers. The stearic-modified ionomers or ionomer blends are especially useful when the ionomer is formulated for use as a golf ball core, center, one-piece ball and as a soft golf ball cover. For covers, softer ionomer compositions will show an improvement.

Abstract: A stabilizer formulation particularly well suited for improving the properties of thermoplastic polymers is disclosed. The stabilizer formulation contains a combination of stabilizers that improves the process stability of a polymer, prevents the polymer from yellowing, increases the thermal aging stability of the polymer and inhibits the polymer from generating smoke during melt processing. Of particular advantage, the stabilizer formulation improves the stability of a polymer without significantly adversely affecting any other properties of the polymer. In one embodiment, the stabilizer formulation includes a hindered amine, a hydroxyl amine, and one or more hydrolytically resistant phosphites. In one embodiment, the formulation can further contain an acid scavenger for preventing an acid contained within the polymer or produced during processing from harming the polymer.
