Abstract: A carrier belt for fabricating a device or component such as an anisotropic conductive film. The carrier belt includes a substrate having a sacrificial image enhancing layer. Microcavities are formed in the carrier by laser ablation through the image enhancing layer. After the image enhancement layer is removed, a plurality of conductive particles are distributed into an array of microcavities formed by laser ablation on a surface of a carrier belt and transferred to an adhesive layer. The image enhancing layer enables one to form microcavities with a fine pitch and spacing and partitions having a high aspect ratio.

Abstract: An aqueous composition for forming a micro-fluid jet printable dielectric film layer, methods for forming dielectric film layers, and dielectric film layers formed by the method. The aqueous composition includes from about 5 to about 20 percent by 65 weight of a polymeric binder emulsion, from about 10 to about 30 percent by weight of a humectant, from about 0 to about 3 percent by weight of a surfactant, and an aqueous carrier fluid. The aqueous composition has a viscosity ranging from about 2 to about 6 centipoise at a temperature of about 23° C.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for coating reactive polymer pre-impregnated reinforcement material (prepregs). The method comprising continuously applying particles of a reactive thermoplastic resin to a first surface of a porous substrate, followed by continuously coating the reactive polymer prepreg. An apparatus for coating reactive polymer pre-impregnated reinforcement material (prepregs), comprising: feeder roll(s) of reinforcement material, receiver roll(s) of drapable polymer pre-impregnated reinforcement material, a conveyor belt having the reinforcement material from the feeder roll thereon, and deposition units for depositing the coating.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fiber reinforced composite material. In an embodiment, the composite material includes a PLLA fiber material and a matrix material that does not have the same chemical element composition as the fiber material. Other fiber reinforced composite materials are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided is a plant-derived resin composite material which has a sufficiently fast crystallization rate and excellent moldability and heat resistance by using a thermoplastic resin composition containing a plant-derived thermoplastic resin and an organic crystal nucleating agent which is composed of one or more low molecular weight compounds comprising at least two polar groups in the molecule, a spacing between any two of the polar groups being 34±4 angstroms.
Abstract: An irreversible thermochromic ink composition can include thermochromic pigment capsules dispersed in a carrier. The irreversible thermochromic pigment capsules can include an inner core having a color changing dye, a color activator for activating the color changing dye, and a wax, an outer core surrounding the inner core and comprising a color destroying agent, and a shell surrounding the outer core. Alternatively, the irreversible thermochromic pigment capsules can include an inner core having a color destroying agent and a wax, an outer core surrounding the inner core and comprising a color changing dye and a color activator for activating the color changing dye, and a shell surrounding the outer core. Written marks made with the irreversible thermochromic inks can be rendered a different color or substantially colorless by application of a sufficient amount of heat to melt or substantially liquefy the wax in the irreversible thermochromic pigment capsules.
