Abstract: In a method of making a gypsum slurry, a polycarboxylate dispersant, a modifier and a hydraulic material comprising stucco are selected for use in the slurry. These components are then combined with water to form a slurry, where the modifier is added to the slurry prior to formation of a slurry phase by the water, the stucco and the dispersant. The modifier has been shown to be less effective when added after the dispersant and stucco have been contacted in an aqueous slurry. In a preferred embodiment, an amount of stucco is obtained and the modifier and dispersant are selected. A predissolved solution of a dispersant and modifier is prepared in water to form a solution prior to the addition of the stucco. After mixing the solution, the stucco is added to form the slurry. Abstract: An object is, in a fly ash-containing cement composition, to disperse fly ash well with addition of a small amount of additive to prevent the deviation of flowability of the cement composition due to the change of unburned carbon content. An additive for a fly ash-containing cement composition includes (A) a nitrogenous polyoxyalkylene derivative represented by formula (1) and (B) a polycarboxylic acid series copolymer having a polyoxyalkylene chain as essential components. R1 represents hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 22 carbon atom, R2 represents alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atom, A1O represents one or two or more oxyalkylene groups having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, which may be block or random in the case of two or more kinds of oxyalkylene groups, p=0 to 20, q=0 to 20, r=1 to 10, s=0 to 2 and t=0 to 2.

Abstract: A cementitious composition is provided that is composed of hydraulic cement and a liquid coloring suspension. The liquid coloring suspension which contains polycarboxylate dispersant and pigment provides the cementitious composition with increased dispersion of pigment particles, lowered water content, and improved coloration over that observed in the prior art. Also, a liquid coloring suspension for cementitious compositions is provided which contains polycarboxylate dispersant, pigment, and thixotropic additive. The liquid coloring suspension increases the color of cementitious compositions, reduces the water content and has long term stability in that it does not become increasingly viscous over time.

Abstract: Pulverulent polycondensation products are described, consisting of a) 5 to 95% by weight of a polycondensation product based on an aromatic or heteroaromatic compound (A) having 5 to 10 C atoms or heteroatoms having at least one oxyethylene or oxypropylene radical and one aldehyde (C) selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde, glyoxylic acid and benzaldehyde or mixtures thereof, and b) 5 to 95% by weight of a finely divided mineral carrier material having a specific surface area of 0.5 to 500 m2/g (according to BET as specified in DIN 66 131). The pulverulent polycondensation products according to the invention are outstandingly suitable in construction material mixtures in an amount of from 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the weight of the construction material. The pulverulent polycondensation products have a number of advantages here, such as, for example, excellent storage stability, good liquefying action at low dosage and industrially simple production.

Abstract: In a cement-based extrusion molding composition, deterioration of productivity due to fluctuation of unburned carbon is prevented by ensuring excellent dispersibility of coal ash mainly composed of fly ash, the extrusion pressure in extrusion molding is reduced, and the strength of a molded product in the same curing condition as in single use of silica sand or silica stone powder is developed. The cement-based extrusion molding composition of the invention comprises: 100 parts by weight of a mixture comprising a hydraulic material, a silicious raw material including fly ash as an essential component and a fiber; 0.1 to 1.5 parts by weight of an extrusion aid; 15 to 45 parts by weight of water; 0.01 to 2.0 parts by weight of a nitrogenous polyoxyalkylene derivative represented by formula (1); and 0.01 to 2.
