Curing of the compositions occurs by a dehydrogenation condensation reaction between the silicon-hydride atoms and/or between the silicon-hydride atoms and the hydroxyl radical of an optionally added hydroxyl-endblocked organopolysiloxanes.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1981Date of Patent: November 22, 1983Assignee: Toray Silicone Company, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshinobu Koda, Isao Ona, Atsushi Takeda

Patent number: 4400483Abstract: Compositions comprising a thermoplastic elastomer, e.g., radial block butadiene/styrene copolymer, solid resinous polymer, e.g., vinyl-substituted aromatics, and one or more specific polar compounds. The specific polar compounds are chosen from among simple and polymeric alkaline glycols, their mono and dialkyl ethers; ethanolamines, isopropanolamines, and their hydrocarbylsubstituted derivatives; liquid acrylonitrile/butadiene polymers; acrylonitrile/butadiene blends with homopolymers of polyvinyl chloride and styrene/acrylonitrile copolymers; and mixtures thereof. A method using these compositions for producing molded objects at a molding pressure of up to about 200 psig. Molded objects produced from these compositions and molded objects produced by this method of molding.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1981Date of Patent: August 23, 1983Assignee: Phillips Petroleum CompanyInventors: Roy W. Patent number: 4389503Abstract: The present invention relates to non-pigmented jet ink compositions and to a method of producing opaque coded messages therewith. The compositions comprise, on a weight basis, between 2 and 15% of a gellable cellulose ester having a hydroxyl content of from 2 to 8%, from 1.5 to 15% of a binding agent selected from the group consisting of alkali soluble rosin type and maleic type resins, polyvinyl acetate resins, and acrylic resins, and a solvent blend, the blend consisting essentially of an organic solvent system and a non-solvent, said non-solvent comprising from 2 to 10% by weight of the ink compositions. Preferred solvents are methanol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate, while the preferred non-solvent is water. Upon evaporation of the solvent blend, the resultant dry films scatter light incident thereto whereby the opaque images are produced. In a particularly preferred embodiment, a hygroscopic salt is included in the composition as an opacity enhancement agent.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1982Date of Patent: June 21, 1983Assignee: American Can CompanyInventors: Dorothy Maxwell, David A.
