The optional poly(oxyalkylene) chains also increase the solubility in different solvents or resins thereby permitting the introduction of such excellent coloring chromophores within diverse media and/or on diverse substrates as well as provides a liquid colorant which facilitates handling. Compositions and articles comprising such colorants are provided as are methods for producing such inventive colorants.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2001Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: Milliken & CompanyInventors: Daniel M. Patent number: 6500884Abstract: The present invention provides a chlorine-containing polymer vulcanizing composition with improved preservation stability. The present invention is a chlorine-containing polymer vulcanizing composition obtained by blending (a) a zeolite compound, (b) a vulcanizing agent, and (c) an optional organic vulcanization accelerator. The zeolite compound can be natural zeolite, an A-type, X-type, or Y-type synthetic zeolite, a sodalite, natural or synthetic mordenite, ZSM-5, or a metal substitution product thereof. The zeolite compound is preferably an activated zeolite compound. With respect to 100 parts by weight of chlorinated polyethylene, (a) preferably 0.5 to 30 parts by weight, more preferably 5 to 25 parts by weight, of the zeolite compound, (b) preferably 0.1 to 5 parts by weight, more preferably 0.5 to 3 parts by weight, of the vulcanizing agent, and (c) preferably 0.5 to 3 mol, more preferably 0.7 to 1.5 mol, of the vulcanization accelerator with respect to 1 mol of (b) the vulcanizing agent are blended.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1999Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Daiso Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuya Tsujimura, Kozo Misumi, Toshiyuki Funayama, Kazunori Yokoyama

Publication number: 20020193488Abstract: The invention is the manipulation of the zinc oxide content and sulfur content of nitrile butadiene rubbers and selected vulcanization conditions that can be achieved economically with common production facilities. The manipulation of these components affect the relaxation property of gloves formed by this material. Produced are gloves that have a relaxation property, higher than 50%, and a low modulus (approximately 3 Mpa). The glove maintains decent ultimate tensile strength (>20 Mpa) and elongation (>500%). The glove is produced by a vulcanization process which lasts from 5 to 60 minutes at temperatures ranging from 300° F. to 400° F. The tensile strength and elongation are well above the ASTM requirements for medical gloves. The current ASTM requirements are ASTM D412-92. Thanks to sufficient vulcanization, the films produced provide satisfactory protection from viral penetration. The tearing strength is also better because of the lower modulus.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2002Publication date: December 19, 2002Inventor: Jian Tao

Patent number: 6451893Abstract: A new formulation for producing nitrile gloves has been developed. The resulting glove shows following outstanding characteristics: stress at six minutes greater than 50% of its initial value; ultimate tensile strength and elongation well above ASTM requirements; and much lower modulus than almost all the nitrile gloves currently commercially available. The unique formulation is zinc oxide free and is vulcanized from 5 to 60 minutes at temperatures ranging from 300° F to 400° F.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2001Date of Patent: September 17, 2002Assignee: Microflex CorporationInventor: Jian Tao
