Abstract: Disclosed herein are the derivatives of tetrahydrobenzothiazole represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a phenyl group and R.sup.2 represents a chemical group selected from the group consisting of: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an acetyl group and R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, methoxy group or acetoxy group and herbicidal compositions containing at least one of the derivatives of tetrahydrobenzothiazole as an active ingredient.

Abstract: Disclosed is a derivative of tetrahydrobenzothiazole represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents one of the following groups: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, methyl group, acetyl group, benzoyl group, phenoxycarbonyl group or 3-pyridylcarbonyl group and R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, hydroxy group, methoxy group or acetoxy group, ##STR3## and a herbicidal composition comprising as active ingredient at least one of the derivatives of tetrahydrobenzothiazole.

Abstract: 3-Diazonium salts of pyrazole, useful as intermediates in the preparation of azo dyes are obtained by an oxidative diazotization of 3-amino-pyrazolines with nitrous acid or with nitrosyl-sulphuric acid. The 3-diazonium salts of pyrazole have the following structure: ##STR1## wherein: X is a radical --CO-- or --COO--,n is 0 or 1,R is hydrogen (in such case n is always 0), a normal or ramified alkyl C.sub.1 --C.sub.4, an aromatic or heterocyclic, optionally substituted, radical, in particular a phenyl radical having the structure: ##STR2## in which m may vary from 0 to 3 and substituents R.sub.3, either like or unlike one another for m>1, are alkyls C.sub.1 --C.sub.4 with linear or ramified chain, halogens, a cyano, nitro, sulphonic or carboxylic group, carboxyesters having a linear or ramified chain C.sub.1 --C.sub.4, alkoxyls having a linear or ramified chain C.sub.1 --C.sub.4, trifluoro-methyl groups, acylamino groups having a linear or ramified aliphatic chain C.sub.1 --C.sub.

Abstract: Tricyclic nitrogenous compounds having strong plant growth regulating properties are disclosed. The compounds display the general formula ##STR1## wherein A is one of several nitrogen-containing radicals, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are selected from various recited aliphatic, aryl, araliphatic and heterocyclic groups. R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may also together form one of a number of nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen containing radicals. These compounds have a variety of uses, including the reduction of plant growth height without harm to the plant.

Abstract: The use of thioamido and alkynyl substituted heterocyclic ammonium salts in producing images in silver halide photographic elements is disclosed. The thioamido and alkynyl substituted heterocyclic ammonium salts can be incorporated in photographic silver halide emulsions. The thioamido substituent is capable of promoting adsorption of these salts to silver halide grain surfaces. In negative working surface latent image forming emulsions the thioamido and alkynyl substituted heterocyclic ammonium salts permit higher speeds to be achieved. In direct positive internal latent image forming emulsions nucleation activity and improved incubation stability can be achieved.
