Abstract: A portable filter assembly for providing filtered air to an enclosed space includes a housing having an exhaust port connected to the enclosed space, an internal air intake port connected to the enclosed space, and an external air intake port connected to the outside of the enclosed space. A fan provides a partial vacuum to the internal and external air intake ports. A filter is located in the housing and the assembly is arranged such that the assembly simultaneously filters re-circulated air from the enclosed space through the internal air intake port and filters external air from the outside of the enclosed space through the external air intake port and filters the air to the enclosed space through the exhaust port.

Abstract: An assembly for installation in a refrigerator provides comprises an enclosure for conducting service lines therethrough and an air filter unit mounted to the enclosure. The air filter unit includes an air filter housing that contains an air filter and includes openings for the ingress of air from the refrigerator which, after passing through the air filter, is discharged to the refrigerator interior through discharge openings in the air filter housing. Means such as a fan is provided to establish a flow of air through the air filter housing. The air filter unit has utility separately from the enclosure for conducting service lines in which case the air filter housing includes first and second portions that are pivotally connected to one another. The air filter within the air filter housing is supported by one of the first and second portions of the air filter housing.

  • Patent number: 7335244
Abstract: An air-purifying device for a front-opening unified pod to purify the air in it is provided. The air in the front-opening unified pod 51 is sucked through one of its breathing holes 58a and directed into an air-purifying device (M) that includes a fan-driving means 1, a dust-filtering means 2, and a chemical-filtering means 3. The moisture, chemical gases, and dust in the air are removed by the air-purifying device (M), and then the purified air is forced into the front-opening unified pod 51 through the other breathing hole 58b. Thus the air in the front-opening unified pod 51 is purified, and its purity is maintained by circulating the air.

Abstract: A fan fixture includes a base having a chamber to receive a fan, the chamber of the base having two adjacent side faces formed with a slot and an air inlet respectively, a cover detachably mounted on the base to fix the fan in the chamber of the base and having a plurality of air outlets, and a filter net inserted through the slot into the chamber of the base to cover the air inlet of the base. Thus, the filter net of the fan fixture covers the air inlet of the base to provide a dustproof effect so as to prevent the dust or insects from entering the fan to protect the fan and the electronic parts contained in the housing.

  • Patent number: 7323022
Abstract: The subject invention pertains to a vacuuming machine with a primary chamber in which vacuum pressure within allows the ingress of debris through a hose. Air and debris entering the primary chamber decelerate upon entry into the chamber which allows debris to settle out of the air column within the primary chamber. Air within the primary chamber is evacuated through an enlarged filter and duct system that carries the air through a filter hopper and fan plate to a rotating fan. The blades of the fan move air and particulate matter through a second duct into a secondary chamber in which another deceleration of air and debris allows additional debris to settle to the bottom of the secondary chamber before air is finally evacuated from the vacuum machine.

  • Patent number: 7320721
Abstract: In a fan filter unit for filtering and continuously supplying clean air into a clean room, the fan filter unit includes a chemical filter for removing chemical contaminants contained in the air, a fan for sucking and blowing out the air, and a particle filter for removing particles such as dusts and moisture contained in the air. A filter medium of the chemical filter has a circular tube shape and is disposed between an inner circular tube and an outer circular tube. A cover is detachably combined with top portions of the inner and the outer circular tubes, and prevents air flow through the top portions of the inner and outer circular tubes. The air is sucked only through the outer circular tube, the chemical filter and the inner circular tube by a suction force of the fan. Accordingly, velocity distribution of the air passing through the chemical filter may be improved and lifetime of the chemical filter may be increased.
