Abstract: The purpose of this invention is to provide a pleated-type filter used for an apparatus for collecting dust that is optimally designed and to provide the apparatus for collecting dust using the filter, wherein the pleated-type filter can keep the resistance to its ventilation low when the filter is installed in the apparatus for collecting dust so that the pleats are directed vertically, and wherein the area for installing the main bodies of the pleated-type filters can be reduced as much as possible. The ratio of the apertures of the pleats (P/H) that is defined by the intervals (P) between the crests of adjacent pleats of the main body and the heights (H) of its pleats ranges from 0.1 to 0.3. The ratio is determined based on the relationship between the area for installing the pleated-type filters and the ratio of the apertures of the pleats (P/H).

Abstract: An air filter has an inner filtering body within an outer filtering body. The air filter is configured to fit inside a scoop and adjacent to the inlet opening of the scoop. By placing the air filter adjacent to the inlet opening of the scoop, the size of the air filter may be increased as compared to a traditional air filter which fits within the neck area of the scoop. As such, the surface area of the air filter may be increased to provide more air to an air intake system such as a carburetor, fuel injectors, throttle body, or the like, as compared the traditional air filter. The inner filtering body may be recessed inside or protrude from the outer filtering body. The inner filtering body may be coupled to the outer filtering body along the base of the air filter. The inner filtering body increases the surface area of the air filter so that more air may be provided to the air intake system of a vehicle.

Abstract: A filter has a housing and a filter element with a first filter medium, wherein the filter element is arranged in the housing. A releasable lid is provided at an end face of the housing and closes off the housing. The releasable lid and the filter element together form a unitary component and the releasable lid forms a terminal disk at a first end of the filter element. The releasable lid forming the terminal disk of the filter element is glued to an end face of the first filter medium. The unitary construction of the filter element and the lid simplifies changing the filter element.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner has a vacuum cleaner housing and an exchangeable filter with through opening arranged in the housing. A holding arm connected with its upper end to the vacuum cleaner housing penetrates the through opening. A fastening member is detachably connected to the lower end of the holding arm for securing the filter to the holding arm. The lower end of the holding arm has a radial recess, and the fastening member has engagement elements engaging the radial recess when the filter is secured on the holding arm. The engagement elements block removal of the fastening member from the lower end of the holding arm. The fasting member has an actuating ring moveable between a locked position, in which the engagement elements secure the fastening member against removal from the holding arm, and a release position, in which the fastening member is removable from the holding arm.

Abstract: An assembly for collecting material entrained in a gas stream comprising a housing having a head part and a body part, and inlet and outlet ports. A chamber port is provided in the head part having internal walls defining a primary chamber with a first end communicating with the chamber port and an opening at a second end. The axis of the first and second ends of the primary chamber are non-aligned. A flow conduit device has a first end which can fit into the primary chamber in the housing head part so that it is directed generally towards the chamber port in the housing and a second end which is directed towards the body part of the housing to provide a conduit for gas to flow between the body part of the housing and the outlet port. The flow conduit reduces turbulence in the flow of gas within the chamber.
