Resilient Attaching Means Patents (Class 55/507)
  • Patent number: 4045350
Abstract: A filter assembly includes a monolithic thermoplastic structural element having parallel sealing surfaces, the element being either a filter frame or a filter support. The material of the element is denser at its surface than in its inner portions. When the element is a filter support, it has a system of filter grooves extending in its surfaces, which may be connected to a discharge outlet by way of a further groove which has a dimension increasing toward the discharge. When the element is a filter frame, it may be provided with a support body in the sludge space, having bases parallel with the sealing surfaces of the element. One or more inlet ports to the sludge space of the frame are provided, which flare outwardly toward the sludge space. The element may be provided with oval or circular recesses extending from edges between the parallel sealing surfaces, and the element may be provided with a projection on its edge, to which a holder may be affixed.

  • Patent number: 4042356
Abstract: In a bag house, the flat cell plate has integral annular walls drawn outwardly from the plane of the cell plate, the walls each terminating in a lip forming a circular opening lying in a plane parallel and spaced from the plane of the cell plate. Vertical tubular filter bags are secured to the cell plate by a spring in each bag which forces an outwardly facing groove on the open end of the bag into engagement with the lip to which the bag is attached.

  • Patent number: 4006000
Abstract: An air cleaner assembly for use with an internal combustion engine. A housing is provided having an inlet for receiving dirty air, a clean air outlet, and a dust port for discharging dust which has been separated from the air. A plenum chamber has an inlet for receiving clean air from the housing outlet, an outlet adapted to be connected to the intake of an internal combustion engine and fastening means for securing the plenum chamber in a fixed position relative to the engine. The housing and plenum chamber are detachably interconnected so that only a minimum outward displacement of the housing away from the plenum chamber is required for removal of the housing for inspection and servicing.

  • Patent number: 4003727
Abstract: An improved arrangement for releasably connecting an end of a tubular gas filter bag to an aperture in an apertured plenum chamber plate member including a mounting member mounted in the aperture in the plate member for releasable engagement with the end of the bag. The mounting member includes an inwardly extending ledge located between an outwardly extending flange which engages the end of the bag and an inwardly extending seat which rests upon the periphery of the aperture. The ledge enables easy mounting of the bag end, which contains an expansible slip ring, over the flange.
