And Reactant Having Halogen Bonded Directly To Carbon, Which Carbon May Be Single Bonded To Any Element But May Be Multiple Bonded Only To Carbon Patents (Class 558/106)
Abstract: In a process for the production of halohydrocarbyl phosphonic acid diesters via a Michaelis-Arbuzov type reaction which results in high conversion and selectivity of product with ease of purification; the improvement comprises reacting hydrocarbyl halide with trihdydrocarbyl phosphite in a molar ratio of about 6:1 and in the presence of an effective amount of a polarity lowering additive.
Abstract: Disclosed are unique starting materials, reaction sequences and intermediate compounds for the preparation of D-3-phosphorylated phosphoinositides (3-PPI) of unambiguous structure and absolute stereochemistry. The enantiomerically pure D-3-phosphorylated phosphoinositides also provided have many uses, including in the development of diagnostics and therapeutics based on the roles of 3-PPI in intracellular signaling.
Abstract: A novel class of cationic phospholipids and a novel method for their synthesis are disclosed. The class of phospholipids comprises phosphotriester derivatives of phosphoglycerides and sphingolipids. It has been unexpectedly found that liposomes comprising one or more of these cationic phospholipids are effective in the lipofection of nucleic lacids. These novel phospholipids are particularly attractive because they are extremely cheap and easy to make.

Abstract: Solid substrates with free hydroxyl groups are phosphorylated by thermolysing a solution of phosphoramidate of the formula ##STR1## in the presence of the substrate, whereby metaphosphate is generated which phosphorylates the substrate.
Abstract: A process for the preparation of 4-O-phosphates of dopamine and dopamine derivatives by treatment of a mixture of both 3-O-phosphate and 4-O-phosphate isomers with a strong mineral acid and optional esterification of the so obtained phosphoric ester of dopamine or dopamine derivatives is described.
