  • Patent number: 5788633
Abstract: An ECG harness is positioned on the chest of patient for making electrocardiographic measurements. The harness includes a strip of nonconductive film having a plurality of slots spaced along the length of the strip at selected anatomical positions. A connector terminal is formed at one edge of the strip for connection to a monitoring device. Electrically conductive border traces extend around the slots. The border traces are exposed on the outer side of the strip and insulated from the inner side of the strip. Conductive leads extend from the connector terminal to the border traces. Electrode pads are placed on the outer side of the strip at least partially extending over the slots. Each of the electrode pads has a conductive inner side for electrical contact with one of the border traces and the skin of the patient.

  • Patent number: 5728043
Abstract: An erection aid device, comprising a disk that defines an opening slightly smaller than a user's fully erect penis, a set of connecting straps and a rigid extension arm that is fixed to the disk, with the extension arm shaped so that it can be attached to a belt worn around the user, while holding the disk in a vertical position against the base of the penis. The user pushes their penis through the opening in the disk, and slides the disk to the base of the penis. The scrotum is positioned between two connecting lines, that are connected to a belt on one end, and the disk on the other end. The connecting lines pull the disk, so that it presses against the user's groin area, with the rigid extension arm maintaining the disk in a vertical position. The pressure of the disk against the user's body assists in compressing inner vein diameters that drain the corpus cavernosa, without interfering with other normal body functions.

  • Patent number: 5707341
Abstract: A cylindrical body with a flexible sheath at one end is mountable onto the end of a penis. With a partial vacuum drawn within the body through a one-way valve mounted in the wall of the body, the device is fixed to the penis securely. A weight may be hung from an eyelet of the body for stretching the penis. A plug provides a means for admitting air into the body for removing the device. A cone shaped wrap is secured to the penis in order to prevent the glans-penis from swelling. This wrap provides an air bladder in contact with the glans-penis to counteract swelling when the vacuum is drawn.

  • Patent number: 5683383
Abstract: An expanded elastic ring is supported in an annular groove within a ring outer cylinder for use in vacuum therapy of a dysfunctional penis. The cylinder has an open end for initial placement against a user's body with the penis contained within the cylinder. The cylinder further comprises a cap on a closed end into which a vacuum pump is integrated. The elastic ring expanded around an inner cylinder into an annular groove is remotely released within a vacuum drawn within the cylinder. In a first embodiment, the vacuum effects the release as the inner cylinder is withdrawn into an outer cylinder until the ring falls off of the inner cylinder end. In a second embodiment, push rods extending into the annular groove push the ring past a stationary inner cylinder, effected by rotation of the cap on the cylinder. An inclined face on the cap bottom surface engages the rod, pushing the rod into the annular groove.

  • Patent number: 5669869
Abstract: A hand-held cylindrical device, and method for its use, comprising a flexible collar fitting over a flared flange on one of its open ends and a threaded cap on its other open end. A one-way valve is connected through the threaded cap so that as a penis is inserted into the cylinder, the collar forms a seal around the penis forcing air out of the cylinder through the one-way valve. After insertion, and when the cylinder is partially drawn away from the penis, the one-way valve closes and a vacuum is formed within the cylinder causing blood to be drawn into the penis, thereby enlarging it. Repeated massaging movement of the cylinder, by hand or through an electrical device creating reciprocal movement which is attached to the cap, or the use of a condom within the cylinder, causes more stimulation and additional enlargement until the penis is fully erect.

  • Patent number: 5628329
Abstract: An elastic band with a tapered bore extending therethrough is positioned on the base of the penis for maintaining a penile erection. Flanges extend radially from the base of the band to stretch it and spread it sufficiently for application. When the stretching force is released the residual elastic force in the band constricts the base of the penis to restrict outflow of blood from the base of the penis. The elongated structure also provides physical support at the base of the penis as an aid in supporting a penis afflicted by Peyronie's disease or the like at the penis base.

  • Patent number: 5509891
Abstract: There disclosed a prothesis for male erectile dysfunction. The prothesis comprises a sheath, quite similar in size and thickness to a conventional condom which has at least two longitudinal retractable stiffeners embedded within said sheath and oriented so that the stiffener has a stable coiled configuration and a stable extended configuration. The stiffeners are formed of thin, elastic sheet material which can be rolled into a coil, and which readily unrolls. At least two stiffeners are provided, extending longitudinally along the extended sheath configuration and these are spaced apart by an angular increment which is sufficient to maintain the sheath in its extended configuration. The material of the sheath is sufficiently elastic to permit the stiffener to be roll and unrolled.

  • Patent number: 5344389
Abstract: A combination seal and constricting device and method of use for the external treatment of impotence is provided. The subject device is made of a pliable elastomeric material and is characterized by a centrally disposed cylindrical collar connected at one end thereof to a radially extending skirt having a forwardly facing, annular, elastomeric seating and sealing surface and a rearwardly facing surface substantially flush with one end of said collar. When used in combination with a conventional vacuum erection device, the combination seal and constricting device is positioned at the open end of the evacuation cylinder of the conventional vacuum erection device with the radially extending skirt flush between the open end of the cylinder and the user's groin. In this position, the subject device aids in establishing and maintaining a substantially airtight seal around the open end of the cylinder and the base of the penis during evacuation pumping.

  • Patent number: 5246015
Abstract: A male impotency aid device for enabling a man to acquire and maintain an erect penis which has a rigid tubular portion having an inner surface that is sized to fit snugly on the penis without strangulation and that has an inner surface with a notch extending the length of the tubular member that is aligned with the penile urinary tract and which has an annular rim that extends outward from the outer surface of the tubular portion. The device is applied over the penis such that an end surface on the tubular portion comes into contact with the crus of the user's penis to stimulate the penis to obtain an erection without strangulation. The inner surface then acts to limit the bloodflow from the penis to help maintain the erection, also without strangulation.

  • Patent number: 5125890
Abstract: To simplify and increase the efficacy of tubular vacuum chamber (6) used to induce and maintain erections in impotent men, a penile sealing diaphragm (7) forms an airtight seal between the tubular chamber (6) and the penis (28). A constriction band dislodging mechanism comprising a flexible strap (36) which is attached to the sealing diaphragm (7) provides a simple method for transferring any constriction band (8) from the chamber (6) onto the penis (28). A constriction band dislodging-vacuum release mechanism is used to simultaneously dislodge a constriction band (8) and relieve the vacuum within a chamber with an air hole (38). A unique constriction band (44) is formed from an inexpensive rubber band and two strips of glass tape which is easy to dislodge from the vacuum chamber (8) and easy to remove from the penis (28).

  • Patent number: 5115800
Abstract: An apparatus for achieving and maintaining penis erection--based on the effect of a reduced air pressure on the external surface of the penis comprises a transparent tube (19) provided with a head (17) with automatic regulator (1-4) of air discharge from the tube and a vacuum pump (15). When the penis is inserted into the tube (19) and when the bellows (14) of the pump (14) are periodically depressed, the penis will, under the effect of a reduced air pressure, reach its erection. By shifting a lever (20) in the F direction, an elastic ring (9) will be slipped from the neck of the tube (19) onto the base of the penis in erection and the erection will be maintaining during the intercourse. Just before the ejaculation, the elastic ring (9) will be quickly disconnected and the semen will be normally expelled before the penis is taken out of the vagina.
