Abstract: Systems and methods for ultrasound imaging capable of achieving spatial resolutions that can resolve objects smaller than 300 ?m are described. Ultrasound is transmitted to and steered over a volume-of-interest that contains a microbubble contrast agent to individually excite microbubbles. Signal data is acquired in response to the transmitted ultrasound, and a plurality of images are reconstructed by beamforming the acquired signal data. The spatial resolution of the beamformed images can be further increased using techniques that determine the position of the microbubble within each image to a greater level of accuracy than the point spread function (“PSF”) of the ultrasound system. The images can also be combined to produce a single high resolution image of the volume-of-interest using, for instance, a maximum pixel projection technique.

Abstract: Described here are systems and methods for producing an image that depicts blood flow stasis using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Doppler echocardiography, or other medical instruments for measuring flow velocities in a human body. A time series of three-dimensional (3D) image volumes is provided, where this time series of 3D image volumes contains flow velocity information at voxel locations in a 3D volume in a subject. One or more regions-of-interest are then segmented from the 3D image volumes. For each voxel in the regions-of-interest, velocity magnitudes are calculated. Using the velocity magnitudes, a flow stasis volume is produced by computing a relative stasis value for each voxel location in the corresponding region-of-interest. This flow stasis volume can be provided as a 3D flow stasis image, or a flow stasis map can be produced by projecting the flow stasis volume onto a two-dimensional (2D) plane.

Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for detecting foreign objects in a region of interest in maritime environments. Image data indicative of a sequence of successively acquired images of the region of interest, is analyzed to determine candidate points of interest, and data indicative of said points is processed to identify candidate points that are adjacently accumulated in different locations in images data. Grouping data may be then generated based on the identified accumulations of candidate points indicative of a group of said candidate points. The grouping data is processed to identify spatio-temporal correlation between the points in the group and determine a corresponding track function, thereby enabling detection of a presence of a foreign object in the image data.

Abstract: This specification describes technologies relating to biometric authentication based on images of the eye. In general, one aspect can be embodied in methods that include obtaining one or more image regions from a first image of an eye. Each of the image regions may include a view of a respective portion of the white of the eye. The method may further include applying several distinct filters to each of the image regions to generate a plurality of respective descriptors for the region. The several distinct filters may include convolutional filters that are each configured to describe one or more aspects of an eye vasculature and in combination describe a visible eye vasculature in a feature space. A match score may be determined based on the generated descriptors and based on one or more descriptors associated with a second image of eye vasculature.

The beginning of steps, choosing an ultrasound echo signal as a center, and calculating the signal image values of all ultrasound echo signals within a window block in an ultrasound image data to obtain an ultrasound scatterer value. Then, choosing another ultrasound echo signal as the center to repeat the previous steps until all of ultrasound echo signals may be calculated. The interval between each of ultrasound echo signal is one point distance. Finally, to output an ultrasound scatterer mode image with all ultrasound scatterer values by utilizing color scale. The ultrasound scatterer mode image can assist doctor to confirm the relative region of lesion in a target organ.
