  • Patent number: 12230406
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for automated contact tracing using multiple data sources. In some implementations, a system uses location data generated based on one or more types of signals, such as GPS signals, WI-FI signals, signals from cellular base stations, signals from short-range wireless technology, and so on. The system also prompts users for information regarding their locations and the conditions present at the locations, either at the time a user is present or later. With this information, the system compares the tracked locations for different individuals to identify instances of contacts in which criteria for disease transmission potential are met, e.g., when two individuals have certain levels of proximity and timing. Detected instances of contacts can be used to inform individuals.

  • Patent number: 12193837
Abstract: The invention includes a system and method for predicting the performance of production animals by analysis of heart and lung sounds to determine likelihoods the animals will develop BRD or other diseases or ailments. Vital signs of animals are recorded during an adrenergic sympathetic “flight or fight” situation. A cardio-pulmonary rate ratio is determined for each animal by dividing a normalized adjusted heart rate value by a normalized adjusted respiratory value. From the ratios calculated for each animal in a group, a ratio range is established. Ratio values at a lower end of the ratio range indicate higher relative respiration rates and poor lung performance due to disease. Ratio values at an upper end of the range may indicate low cardiac output and an inability to tolerate rapid weight gain. Ratio values at either end of the range may indicate compromised cardio-pulmonary function.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing empathy corrections and predictions to various communications. In some aspects, a method may include obtaining training data to train a plurality of empathy correction models, where the training data is obtained through empathy games that elicit labels indicating an empathy score for individual statements and indicating at least one empathy characteristic upon which the empathy score is based. At least one statement from a communication platform may be obtained and an empathy score may be determined for statement using the empathy corrections models. The empathy score may be compared to an empathy threshold, and if the empathy score is below the empathy threshold, at least one correction to the statement may be determined to improve empathy of the first empathy characteristic, using the plurality of empathy correction models. The correction may then be provided to the communication platform.

  • Patent number: 12186081
Abstract: A behavioral feedback system is provided to facilitate shaping a subject's behavior during an activity by obtaining user input. The user input is obtained pursuant to user-selection of a behavior-related representation from a set of behavior-related representations, for an activity of a subject, displayed on an electronic device of the user. Each representation corresponds to a different potential behavior of the subject during the activity, and the selected behavior-related representation relates to a user-observed behavior of the subject during the activity. The method further includes determining, by one or more processors, a positive or negative feedback indication associated with the selected behavior-related representation, and generating a feedback signal to send to an electronic device of the subject to indicate to the subject the selected behavior-related representation and the associated positive or negative feedback indication.

Abstract: Methods for authenticating a genuine presence of a human involve directing one or more modulated probes towards a body part of the human, receiving a response to the probes from the body part, and analyzing the response to determine whether it contains spectral characteristics that match a class of responses to such probes for the human body part in a human population. Replay attacks are countered by varying the modulation of the probe temporally, spatially, and spectrally each time authentication is performed. The probes may include electromagnetic radiation, acoustic beams, or particle beams that generate a detected reflection, absorption pattern, scintillation, or fluorescence response of the body part. The analysis of the response may be directed to one or more of temporal, spatial, and spectral variations in accordance with the nature of the probes and the modulation.
