Abstract: An integrated wound dressing system and method including a bandage and a self-contained receptacle that stores treatment material for the care and treatment of wounds. The treatment material is easily accessible and can be removed from the receptacle through an exit. The treatment material can then be used to control bleeding and/or clean the wound before dressing. The bandage may include a layer of plastic that acts as an occlusion barrier to reduce heat loss and maintain moisture levels at the wound site. The occlusion barrier also acts to prevent the passage of air into or out of the wound site. The bandage also includes fasteners that act to prevent unintentional unraveling and to secure the bandage during final packaging. These fasteners help facilitate the wrapping of amputations, stumps, and extremities. The integrated wound dressing system provides an all-in-one system for treating and dressing wounds and reduces the time required to do so.

The hard cup configuration can be used for contact sports or ball sports where maximum protection is needed. The cup can be converted to the soft cup configuration for non-contact sports where a lesser degree of protection is adequate. The cup comprises a hard cup and a soft cup that are detachably connected to each other to form the hard cup configuration. To convert to the soft cup configuration, the hard cup is detached and the soft cup is worn by itself.

The anchor includes a rivet, an expandable sleeve, and a washer. The rivet includes a head and an elongate body having proximal and distal ends, the head being mounted on the proximal end of the elongate body. The expandable sleeve has an inner bore adapted to receive the rivet body. The washer “floats” at a proximal end of the sleeve. As the rivet is inserted into sleeve, the sleeve expands into an interference fit with the bone. The head of the rivet, moreover, forces the floating washer into contact with the tissue at an angle that conforms to that of the underlying bone surface. A deployment tool permits the anchor to be deployed without application of unnecessary counterforce. Abstract: An athletic cup having a shape generally designed to have the narrow portion fit between the legs of the user while the upper or wider portion extends up over the area of the body being protected. The cup has a larger primary portion formed from a resilient thermoplastic composition having a quantity of gas pockets dispersed therein formed by heating of a mixture of a blowing agent and a resilient thermoplastic material. The cup further includes a hard portion bonded to said primary portion and forming a cage like outer segment having a high degree of rigidity. The primary portion also includes a peripheral lip having a degree of flexibility for contact with the user to provide additional cushioning. In a preferred embodiment the primary portion extends into interstices in said hard portion.

A male support pocket is formed in the lower portion of the front crotch panel. A liner for the male support pocket has an upper opening for the insertion of a cup protector. Hip protection fabric side panels are sewn to either the inside or the outside of each tubular leg. These panels provide padding and protection. If needed, the fabric side panels can have openings for the insertion of hip protection pads.

The disposable insert which is placed in the pocket of the athletic supporter is substantially cylindrical and sized to be received in the pocket of the athletic supporter includes a layer of absorbent material, a waterproof material on the exterior of the layer of absorbent material, and a cavity sized to receive a human penis. The layer of absorbent material preferably includes a first portion which surrounds the cavity and a second portion which extends between the cavity and the second, closed end of the insert, the second portion having a length of between one half and three quarters of the distance between the first, open end of the insert and the second, closed end of the insert.

The helmet is a shell padded inside and out and webbed at the upper inside. The shoulder pads may include a padded horse collar on which the depending helmet wall rests. The groin and spine protector can be releasably connected to the shoulder pads by hook and pile fasteners straps and/or waist, leg and shoulder suspender straps.
