  • Patent number: 10512562
Abstract: A faceplate assembly (14) for an ostomy pouch system (10) including an invertible stoma collar (38) is provided. The invertible stoma collar protrudes toward a stoma and defines an inlet opening. The invertible stoma collar is formed from a flexible material having an elastic memory, such that the stoma collar hugs the stoma as the stoma is received through the inlet opening, and becomes inverted. The inverted stoma collar has a tendency to regain its original shape, and thus, applies sufficient pressure to seal around the stoma without strangulating the stoma.

  • Patent number: 10105254
Abstract: An ostomy collecting bag is provided. The collecting bag has a continuous wall with a curvature instead of sealed edges. The collecting bag is truly three-dimensional. The collecting bag may be obtained by injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding. Methods of producing an ostomy collecting bags by either injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding is also provided. In injection blow-moulding, a pre-form is injection moulded and subsequently the pre-form is blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. In extrusion blow-moulding, a tube is extruded and subsequently blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. The ostomy collecting bag can thus be made without seals at the edges, which provides a more flexible collecting bag with a larger interior volume.

  • Patent number: 8672909
Abstract: The invention relates to an, for patients with faecal/urinary incontinence, auxiliary device in the form of a, on the skin around the anus, glued collection bag made of suitable and skin-friendly plastic that is foldable 180 degrees in the patient's front or back position. The design eliminates or substantially reduces the direct contact with faeces and thereby reduces the instances of possible contamination. The collection bag is equipped with channels for water rinsing 9, ointment application 10 and deodorising filters F. The collection bag can be used continuously for several days. The collection bag can easily be removed from the patient by means of the top 6 being made of light-sensitive adhesives. When the collection bag is removed, the bag can easily be sealed with the lid 8 and transported by means of the carrying handle 7.
