Abstract: A direct expansion evaporator for making a frozen product from raw material includes a feeding channel, a heat exchange channel thermally communicating with the feeding channel, and a refrigerant flowing within the heat exchange channel for exchanging heat between the raw material within the feeding channel and the refrigerant within the heat exchange channel in an expanded evaporation manner. Therefore, the refrigerant releases the thermal energy via the phase changing from liquid to gaseous state of the refrigerant. The heat exchange channel has a pre-cooling portion for pre-cooling the raw material at a predetermined temperature and a freezing portion for freezing the raw material to a final predetermined temperature of the frozen product in two-stage evaporation manner. Thus, the direction expansion evaporator provides a relatively more efficient way for making the frozen product, so as to increase the quality of the frozen product.
Abstract: A refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber, an ice making device and an ice making water supply device. A variable temperature drawer is disposed in lower part of the refrigerating chamber. The ice making water supply device includes a water tank disposed above the variable temperature drawer, a water pump connected with the water tank, and a water pipe connected with the water tank and the ice making device for introducing the water in the water tank into the ice making device. With the refrigerator according to embodiments, the water quality is ensured and the preservation effect is improved. Because the temperature of the variable temperature drawer is generally in the range of ?3° C. to 8° C., the water in the water tank is not easy to be frozen, and can be supplied to the ice making device continuously.

Each of the gear teeth includes a first end portion protruding from the body unit by a predetermined distance and a second end portion further protruding from the body unit than the first end portion. According to the embodiments, even when the water is infiltrated into the power transmission assembly and frozen, the frozen ice can be removed in a direction by the above-described structures of the gears.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator having an instant ice maker, and according to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a refrigerator including a refrigerator body provided with a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber; a first and a second ice maker disposed inside the refrigerator, respectively; a water supply means configured to supply water to the first and the second ice maker; and a precooling means provided between the first ice maker and the water supply means to precool water supplied to the first ice maker.
Abstract: A refrigerator having an ice making device, comprises: a case having an opening at one side thereof; a tray accommodation portion having opened upper and lower surfaces, and configured to be inserted into or withdrawn from the case through the opening; an ice tray accommodated in the tray accommodation portion, and containing water to be frozen to ice cubes; and an accommodation portion coupling unit for coupling the tray accommodation portion to the case. Water is poured onto the ice tray in a state that the ice tray has been accommodated in the tray accommodation portion, and then the ice tray is carried to be mounted to the case. This may solve the conventional problem that each ice tray has to be carried. Furthermore, since an external force such as hand trembling is transmitted to the ice tray via the tray accommodation portion, overflow of water is minimized.
