Fluid-treating Apparatus Patents (Class 69/29)
  • Patent number: 6935144
Abstract: An improved device for leather processing comprising a vessel containing perforated dummy doors and compartments with pegs as well as friction disk fixed along the exterior periphery of the vessel. The leathers to be wet processed are subjected to mechanical action in terms of both rocking action as well as rotational movement simultaneously. The perpetual motion of the device help to create pressure generation for quickening the process and for addition of chemical solution continuously. The processing takes place under pressure generated inside the vessel and with the support of multiple mechanical actions, resulting in higher exhaustion of bath with less processing time and energy requirement and higher capacity utilization to produce good quality leather.

  • Patent number: 6910354
Abstract: A process for treating animal hides includes spreading the hides (1) to be treated astride respective supporting plates (2) and introducing the plates into a container (10). Afterwards, the container (10) is closed hermetically and set under vacuum. A liquid solution is introduced into the container (10), to treat the hides, in particular to transform fresh animal hides into wet white state. The container (10) is driven into vibration, to make the solution contained in the container (10) move in a continuous and uniform way.

  • Patent number: 5087358
Abstract: The invention discloses a machine for the filtering of solid, in particular fibrous, particles suspended in liquids, including a delivery chamber (2) collecting the liquid to be treated, a raceway (3) leading the liquid to be treated into a treatment chamber (4) having a cylindrical bottom (5), wherein there is at least one pair of revolving filters (6, 7), an overflow chamber (16) connected with a recycling tank and an area (21) for the discharge of the recovered solid particles. In the machine each filter (12) has a surface in the shape of a truncated cone and its horizontal axis is essentially perpendicular to the flow direction of the liquid to be treated, the two filters are coaxial with each other and face each other, so as to form a concave space (20) therebetween. The taper of the filters causes the double effect of increasing the filtering performance of the machine and of avoiding its standstill when the delivery of liquid to be treated increases.

  • Patent number: 4090878
Abstract: An arrangement for preparing natural tissue in the form of a heart valve, vessel or the like for implantation in which tanning fluid under pressure is applied to a portion of the tissue so as to cause said tissue to assume substantially its natural configuration, while additional tanning fluid is applied to the remainder of the tissue, said tanning fluid being so applied for a time sufficient to cause the tissue to become fixed, and, for vessels or the like, a guide may engage the tissue during fixation, whereby said tissue maintains substantially the configuration of the guide.
