Abstract: A multipurpose tool is provided which may be useful for functions relating to firearms and explosives. The multipurpose tool may include a variety of tools and features while maintaining a compact form. For example, the multipurpose tool may include a blade positioned in a pocket defined between a handle and a body member which define a hook configuration. Elongate members may be rotatably connected to the multipurpose tool and may include a base member with a cam surface and one or more detents which cooperate with a spring follower to hold the elongate member in either or both of an operational position or a storage position. A receiving aperture may be received in a jaw of a pair of pliers, and configured to receive an accessory member. Further, a sleeve may store a bit on the side of a handle and may be retained in the sleeve by a displaceable button.

Abstract: A chain master link tool includes a first lever and a second lever pivotally and releasably coupled together. Each of the first and second levers include a first working portions and a second working portion. The first and second levers are pivotal to an extended position in which the first working portions face oppositely and are disposed apart and cooperatively delimit a connection space therebetween for connection of a master link with a roller chain assembly and the second working portions face oppositely and are disposed apart and cooperatively delimit a removal space therebetween for removal of the master link from the roller chain assembly respectively.

Abstract: The multi-tool wrench is a single tool that provides multiple tools useful by a craftsman. The multi-tool wrench comprises a first tool half and a second tool half that are removably coupled by a quick disconnect. The halves may be decoupled for use in confined spaces or to simultaneously use tools from each half. The first tool half provides an adjustable wrench and two pivoting hex keys. The adjustable wrench has a reversible lower jaw to convert the wrench into a pipe wrench. The second tool half provides a set of three open end wrenches, a pivoting flat blade screwdriver, and a pivoting cross head screwdriver. The open end wrenches and hex keys may be sized to provide common tools needed in a specific occupation or field. As a non-limiting example, the tools may be common sizes used by a welder.

Abstract: A cutter apparatus includes a housing shaped to be hand-held, a slider configured to support a front blade, the slider being mechanically coupled to the housing and configured to be moved longitudinally along the housing, and a blade guard mechanically coupled to the housing and configured to be extended and retracted adjacent to the front end of the housing, wherein the slider and the blade guard are configured to move in tandem.

Abstract: A new and improved serving utensil is provided. The serving utensil may include a pair of elongated arms integrally formed together, or joined together by a hinge. Each elongated arm may comprise an elongated member, having an upper edge and an opposing lower edge, integrally connected to a gripping portion at its distal end and handle portions extending upwardly from the elongated member and having a concave or curvilinear shape. The serving utensil may further include a pair of guard members integrally connected to, and extending perpendicularly outward from, the pair of elongated arms.

Abstract: A multi-function hand tool is provided. The multi-function hand tool includes a first member and a second member pivotally connected to the first member such that the hand tool is pivotable between an open orientation and a closed orientation. The first member includes a first cutting element and a second cutting element disposed proximal to the first cutting element. The first cutting element has a first cutting blade and the second cutting element has a second cutting blade and a first at least one groove. The second member extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end of the second member includes a third cutting element corresponding to the second cutting element. The third cutting element has a third cutting blade corresponding to the second cutting blade and at least one second groove corresponding to the first at least one groove.

Abstract: A multi-tool apparatus includes a frame having at least one opening and at least one gate element partially bounding the at least one opening. The at least one gate element is movable relative to the frame to permit access to the opening. The apparatus includes at least one cutting element partially bounding the at least one opening. The at least one gate element is movable into the opening so that the at least one gate element and at least one cutting element come into contact for wire stripping, crimping, and cutting operations.

Abstract: An alignment clamp assembly is provided for aligning and holding flanged or framed ductwork while the ductwork is being joined together. The assembly includes an upper jaw having a planar end portion and a lower jaw pivotally coupled to the upper jaw. The lower jaw has a planar end surface and is pivotable to position the end portion of the upper jaw against the end surface of the lower jaw. A pin is coupled to one of the upper jaw and the lower jaw. A cavity is positioned in one of the upper jaw and the lower jaw opposite the pin. The pin extends into the cavity when the end portion of the upper jaw is positioned against the end surface of the lower jaw.

Abstract: A pliers fencing tool includes a wedge having a through slot for engagement with the rotatably mounted ratcheted sprocket teeth of a fence wire strainer suspended between the fence wire looped ends. Through slot engaged caused the teeth to rotate from a first to a second ratcheted position and thereby strain the fence wire. A grip having a thumb receiving recess and thumb guard is provided between the wedge and the means for pivotably connecting the handles, and the handles are gripped at the grip portion with the wedge distally disposed.

Abstract: A crimping device including a first jaw having, across its width and extending at least partially along its length, spaced multiple crimp members. A second jaw also includes, across its width and extending at least partially along its length, spaced multiple crimp members. Multiple crimps are created in a crimp tube when the first and second jaws are brought together about the crimp tube using a first handle for the first jaw and a second handle for the second jaw.

Abstract: A firefighter tool has pivotably connected handles and jaws, and one handle has an outer generally sinusoidal surface and the handle end is formed with a hook facingly disposed to the generally sinusoidal surface. The handles open fully so that the user grips the other handle and the sinusoidal surface hook alternately operably contactingly engages differently sized and configured fire hose couplings.

A slide lock which actuates a spring retractable lock pawl is mounted on the twisting mechanism support. This arrangement allows locking of the plier handles when the proper jaw pressure is applied to varying thickness' of safety wire or any other item held in the pliers grip. A squeeze of the handles retracts the law pawl and releases the pliers grip.

Abstract: An improved locking pliers is provided with an attachment member having a threaded aperture fixed on the handle of the locking pliers. In one embodiment, the attachment member is in the form of a coupling nut or other extended wide nut welded to the handle. In another embodiment, the attachment member is integrally formed as part of the handle during the manufacture of the pliers. In another embodiment, the attachment member is concentrically attached to the end of the handle so that a pulling, pushing or twisting force is applied along the plane of the handle without torque. The attachment member does not interfere with the normal locking operation or any other normal operation of the pliers. In another embodiment, a quick connection attachment member, such as a locking pin or quick disconnect joint, is used in place of a threaded portion.

Abstract: A firefighter pocket tool combines the functional features of several traditional tools (slip groove pliers of the curved jaw type, 6 in 1 screwdriver, spanner wrench, gas shut off tool and a striking tool) onto a shared single structure. The tool comprises a pair of slip groove plier members each having a jaw portion, a joint portion and a handle portion, a pivotal bolt, nut and spring member. Upon the upper rear portion of the pliers' upper jaw's head there is formed a protrusion that forms a striking surface and a hook and claw which can be used as a spanner for rocker lug type and similar fire hose couplings. A gas shut off loop can be used as a guard for fingers when the tool is being used as a striking implement.

A high torque force is readily exerted through the handles on the seized fire hose coupling. Abstract: An automatically adjustable locking pliers or tool includes a jaw fixed to a first handle and a jaw that pivots about the first handle. The pivoting jaw is connected to a lower tightening handle. A lever connects the tightening handle and first handle. A self-adjusting sizing and locking mechanism includes a thumb jaw sizing piece located near the jaws and movable to open the jaws so that they can be sized around a workpiece. When the thumb jaw sizing piece is released, the jaws automatically size and clamp lightly around the workpiece. The locking mechanism uses balls between a locking rod and a tapered surface. Locking occurs when the balls wedge between the rod and the tapered surface. A release cylinder is connected to a release paddle movable to unlock the mechanism. The sizing piece and locking mechanism are operable to automatically size and lock the pliers or tool.

The wire stripper includes first and second lever members joined together by a pin, each with an elongated handle and an offset jaw having an oblique cutting edge. The jaw of the first lever member includes an opening sized to receive a coaxial cable connector and a hexagonal recessed surface about the circumference of the opening sized to receive the hexagonal nut section of the coaxial cable connector. The jaw of the second lever member includes an opening of lesser diameter that receives the stripped end of the center conductor of the coaxial cable and is located so it can be substantially concentric with the opening in the first lever member when the wire stripper is closed. The stripper recesses may be hex shaped with straight edges defining the recess. A method of stripping an insulated conductor is also disclosed.

Abstract: A pair of pliers with multiple functions is disclosed. The pliers have a pair of shanks pivotally engaged with each other each having a jaw formed at one end thereof, a polygon hole defined in the other end to hold a tool head, a hammer formed on the outside of one of the jaws and a chisel formed on the other. In addition, teeth and a cutting edge are formed on the face of the corresponding jaws or shanks. Consequently, the pair of pliers can be used as a hammer, a chisel or a screwdriver. This can improve the flexibility of the pair of pliers.
