Abstract: The invention relates to an implement holder, in particular for a pocket knife, or a flat-design storage case having a housing body with one or more housing compartments for at least one implement which can be moved out from a rest position into a position of use, e.g. a knife, corkscrew, screwdriver. A writing instrument is provided as an implement and the housing body projects beyond the implement forming the handle thereof in a ready-to-use position.

Abstract: A multipurpose hand-held implement, comprising at least two components which can be locked in a closed position and then form a compact, essentially closed body, in the case of which the two components, with preferably confluent contours, are directed towards one another. In the closed position, the body forms the handle for actuating utensils, such as a knife, staple remover or cutter, which are accommodated in the components in a set-back manner, such that they can be pushed out. The two components are preferably connected to one another in an articulated manner and, after release of the locking means, can be moved relative to one another in order to actuate, for example, a stapler, a hole puncher or a pair of scissors. The body is formed from a molded plastic material and is suitable for being hand held, and the letter opening blade is molded partially within the plastic molded body. The device further includes a sheet-like material cutter having a coupon cutting blade. A portion of the coupon cutting blade is exposed exteriorly of the body whereby the exposed portion can be manipulated to selectively separate sections of sheet-like materials such as paper and plastic sheets.

Abstract: A multipurpose staper includes a base, a sliding anvil assembly mounted on the base and move between a front side position and rear side position, a magazine and tie plate assembly pivoted to the base above the sliding anvil assembly, a press plate, a top cap pivoted to the base and depressed to force down the press plate, causing the press plate to drive a staple out of the magazine and tie plate assembly, enabling the driven staple to be forced into sheets of paper put on the front end of the base when the sliding anvil assembly is moved to the rear side position, or squeezed into a straight shape when the sliding anvil assembly is moved to the front side position, a front cap mounted on the top cap and moved between a first position to lock the press plate and a second position to unlock the press, and a rear cap pivoted to the top cap and integral with a pencil sharpener for sharpening a pencil.

Abstract: A type of stapler has a handle that permits it to be used like a hammer. The end of the handle is modified to permit it to receive the body of a utility knife. The latter is retained within the handle by a screw that replaces the screw which previously held the halves of the utility knife together. The blade-retracting lever of the utility knife is made accessible on the upper portion of the handle. The blade of the utility knife can be extended and retracted at the end of the tool opposite the staple-dispensing end of the stapler. The handle of the stapler serves as the handle of the utility knife. The tool thus formed is useful to persons who work with sheets of material that must be stapled to an underlying structure then trimmed to the shape of the structure and/or cut free from a roll of sheet material.

In an alternative embodiment, the blade may be removably secured to the handle by a U-shaped member having a flange with slidably projects into a T-slot within the handle.

Abstract: A writing apparatus comprising a penholder with a ball refill retained therein for writing, and a staple driving mechanism incorporated therein for driving staples through paper as for binding pamphlets. The penholder of the writing apparatus comprises an elongated cartridge received inside an outer cylinder for holding ball refill and staples. The outer cylinder is comprised of two parts pivoted together, wherein the lower part has a matrix matching with the striking plate on the upper part for performing staple driving process. Two plate springs are provided to support the upper and lower parts of the outer cylinder in an opened position. A lock cap is pivoted to the lower part for releasably locking the upper and lower parts together when the staple driving mechanism is not in use.

The sharpener assembly is fixedly retained within the confines of the tool body with an aperture in abutting rims of two shells of the body providing for insertion of the implement to be sharpened. Shavings are discharged exteriorly of the tool through a slot formed in one of the body shells adjacent the blade of the sharpener.
