Abstract: A blade replacement apparatus of an electric instrument is provided. The blade replacement apparatus includes a nut, a nut loosening/tightening member, a locking member, and an operating member. One of the nut loosening/tightening member and the operating member has a first matching portion, the locking member having a second matching portion. The operating member is movable between an operating position and a non-operating position. When the operating member is in the non-operating position, the first matching portion engages with the second matching portion, and the rotation of the nut loosening/tightening member is obstructed by the locking member. When the operating member is in the operating position, the first matching portion is disengaged from the second matching portion, and the rotation of the nut loosening/tightening member tightens or loosens the nut.

Abstract: A multi-purpose weapon comprising a handle, an axe blade, and a straight knife blade. The axe blade includes a chopping surface, and two curved surfaces, which, when sharpened, allow the weapon to be used in a similar manner to a kerambit. Thus, in a single weapon, the user can use the straight knife blade, the axe blade, and the one or two curved blades.

Abstract: A tactical entry multi-tool for first responders is disclosed. The tool can be used to breach encountered obstacles. The tool can include an axe blade, hammer head, breaching wedge, “T” slot connector/wrench, and a handle assembly. The axe blade and hammer head are located at the top of the tool with the breaching wedge located at the bottom at a fixed angle. The axe blade is located opposite of the hammer head with a sturdy handle located between the two in a generally T shaped orientation. The handle assembly is located along the shaft of the tool. The “T” slot is located between the axe and hammer, and has the dual function of being a wrench to open/close valves, and acting as a slot to insert the breaching wedge of a second tool for additional force. The multi-tool may be configured from a single piece of high-performance metal.

Abstract: The present invention teaches that a custom designed tool might serve as a marker cap for a standard size and diameter of marker such as a Sharpie® or Revmark® brand marker, along with an LED or low light LED or dim red LED or even infrared LED, and a hex drive socket which could then be used with an appropriate size of hex bit (such as a BITHEX™ tool head) for the exact size of adjustment screw heads found on any particular laser gun aiming device. The LED serves to light the laser aiming device screw head and the hex bit tool head, and in embodiments may be quite dim or otherwise inconspicuous.

The main body includes an electric motor and a control circuit with a signal recognition module having a microcontroller. The working part includes an identification module, the signal recognition module and the identification module being communicable such that the microcontroller can recognize the working part. A control method includes attaching the main body to the working part; judging which kind of working part is attached and selecting corresponding preset programs; sampling a working parameter value of the electric motor; comparing the sampled working parameter value of the electric motor with a corresponding preset value, and judging whether the electric motor is at an abnormal working state; and if yes, powering off the electric motor, and if no, returning to the previous step.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for surgical removal of a ring. The apparatus includes guards rotatably connected, handles rotatably connected to the guards that each include a portion partially disposed within the respective guard, a guide connected to the guards, and blades disposed on the portion of the handles. The blades contact with at least one of the guide and an inner surface of the respective guard. A rotational axis of a joint between the guards, a rotational axis of a first handle and a first guard, and a rotational axis of a second handle and a second guard are substantially parallel. Movement of a first end of the first handle toward a first end of the second handle results in movement of a second end of the first handle toward a second end of the second handle, and movement of a first blade toward a second blade.

The shaft driver is configured to selectively lock in a retracted driving position wherein the distal tip of the shaft driver is recessed in the adjustable head driver to thereby drive the adjustable head without the shaft driver driving the screw shaft.

A second fixating element is rigidly preloaded in a second portion of the spacer along a second linear trajectory. An integrated drill and screwdriver instrument is adapted to extend through a cannula of the first fixating element and second fixating element and penetrate the vertebra. The instrument is further adapted to drive the head of the first fixating element and second fixating element into the vertebra and lock the first fixating element and second fixating element with respect to the spacer to prevent extrusion from the spacer.

Abstract: An adapter to convert an electric drill motor being configured with a standard drill bit into a screw gun includes a metal enclosure which slides over a drill chuck to accommodate drill bit and chuck portions. The device also provides a mechanical coupling pin which engages a chuck key aperture to communicate the rotary motion of the drill motor to the device. Once installed upon the drill motor, the device enables connection of standard bit sockets, screwdriver adapters, or similar driving tools. In such a manner, the user can drill a hole, slide the device over the drill chuck, and drive a fastener using the device. This eliminates the need to remove the drill bit and insert a separate driving tool in a repetitive manner to install fasteners.

Abstract: A fixed blade knife that is intended for survival or tactical use is provided with a removable, ejectable, self contained compartment for the storage and carriage of survival and/or tactical gear within the handle of the knife. A self contained, removable compartment is superior to a separate butt cap for the handle as a butt cap requires the use of two functioning hands for removal, is not as fast as an ejectable compartment and can be lost rendering the handle useless for the storage and carriage of gear. The self contained compartment eliminates the necessity for a butt-cap, can be ejected quickly with a single digit that may or not be otherwise useless due to injury or environmental conditions. The compartment also serves to contain the gear there-in separate from the knife handle to prevent loss and allow use of said gear by a second individual while the knife itself may be in use by the primary user.
