Sliding Dead Bolt Patents (Class 70/104)
  • Patent number: 11268299
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed involving a door blocking apparatus to reduce a likelihood of, and possibly prevent, opening of a door by unauthorized personnel. The apparatus may be networked in a security system and may be connectable to an online security platform. In a particular embodiment, an embodiment of the invention may include a security system involving a plurality of door locations having a plurality of networked door blocking apparatus. Each door blocking apparatus may include a door blocking mechanism operable by a user on a safety side of a door, such as having the user rotate an apparatus handle that rotates the door blocking mechanism between a non-blocking position and a blocking position. In the non-blocking position, the door blocking apparatus does not block the door from opening and closing. In the blocking position, the door blocking apparatus blocks the door from opening and from closing completely.

  • Patent number: 10472862
Abstract: A lock comprises a male element, and a female element for receiving the male element enabling aligned copular engagement. The male element has a shoulder and the female element a catch for closing behind the shoulder to hold the male element therein. The catch and a lock casing are held in the female element with the axis of the lock casing inclined, normally at a right angle, to the line of engagement of the male and female elements. The lock casing and the female element have juxtaposed faces inclined to the line of engagement of the male and female elements. At least one face on the lock casing extends from the casing outwardly from the line of engagement contiguous with an inwardly facing complementary face on the female element. In this way longitudinal forces generated by attempted separation of the engaged male and female elements are resolved by the faces into a lateral force on the female element.

  • Publication number: 20100013635
Abstract: An electronic locking device secures a shipping container and includes a housing, two arms, a sensing circuit, and electronics. The pair of arms extend from the housing and couple to the hasp. The arms transition between locked and unlocked configurations relative to the hasp, with one or both of the arms pivoting relative to the other. A bolt seal locks the arms in the locked configuration. The sensing circuit, which includes sensing contacts, is in a “closed” state or “open” state depending on whether the arms are in the locked or unlocked configuration. The electronics record and report the state of the sensing circuit, thereby indicating whether the arms are locked or unlocked.

  • Patent number: 6036240
Abstract: Two mating L-shaped steel sheet casing members in one embodiment for sliding doors are secured to a corresponding door and have overlying front walls in the closed state. Each member has a plurality of corresponding locking keeper elements. In the closed state the keeper elements are in interdigitated juxtaposed and preferably welded to the casing members via through optional bores in the casing members, or extend through the side walls of the casing formed by side wall sections. The keeper elements in one subassembly are slotted to allow for misalignment with the other keeper elements for receiving a locking bolt seal shaft. The keeper elements optionally have tongue projections for engaging a gap between the closed doors. An angle iron member shields the rear of the chamber below the lowermost locking element to protect the seal locking body.
