Keeper And Housing Interlocking Patents (Class 70/136)
  • Patent number: 8820860
Abstract: A housing includes a first panel having a keeper, a hinged door shiftable between a first position generally perpendicular to the first panel and a second position, and a lock mounted on the door, the lock comprising a rotatable cylinder having an axis of rotation perpendicular to the door and a cam. The cam has a first end connected to the cylinder for rotation with the cylinder and a second end spaced from the first end by a cam body, the second end extending at an angle to the cam body and lying in a second plane parallel to the axis of rotation. When the door is in the first position, the cam is shiftable from a first orientation with the cam second end spaced from the keeper to a second orientation with the cam second end overlying a side of the keeper opposite the cylinder to lock the door.

  • Patent number: 8061165
Abstract: A door latch for securing a door of a building in a closed condition, the door latch including a housing, a handle rod, a lock set assembled into the housing and including a movable key tab, a main lock pivotally connected to the handle rod and including a connecting slot, the main lock being movable for lifting an engagement end, an unlocking latch pivotally connected to the handle rod and including an engagement structure for coupling with the connecting slot and a lock bar assembled to the housing and being movable relative to the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position. Wherein, when the lock bar is in the locked position, the main lock is not pivotable from a position exterior to the building by the use of the handle rod, the main lock being pivotable from a position interior to the building by manual lifting.

  • Patent number: 5941102
Abstract: Lock assembly including a first locking device in two parts intended to be mounted on a door, and a second detachable locking device intended to be treaded from above on the two parts of the first locking device when the door is closed. One of the locking devices shows a projecting portion and the second locking device shows a recess cooresponding to the projecting portion with a cooresponding wedge-shape. The projecting portion shows an outward directed rim along the sides extending to its wedge-shaped tip, and the recess shows an inwards directed rim along the cooresponding sides. A faucet extends in a locked position through the projecting portion across the recess. The projecting portion shows a half-cylindric cavity and the faucet shows a half-cylindric section and is fit into the bottom of the half-cylindric cavity.

  • Patent number: 5345795
Abstract: A lock structure for mounting between first and second supporting surfaces including a cup mounted on the first surface, a housing mounted on the cup, a rocker arm located within the housing and pivotally mounted on the cup, a keeper mounted on the second supporting surface, interengaging surfaces between the rocker arm and the keeper for effecting a locking relationship therebetween, a spring located between the housing and the rocker arm to bias the rocker arm in a locking position relative to the keeper, and an actuator shaft keyed to the rocker arm and rotatably mounted in the housing and having a curvilinear groove therein for receiving a mating key for pivoting the actuator shaft and the rocker arm keyed thereto out of locking engagement with the keeper.

  • Patent number: 4648253
Abstract: A cell door lock for a cell door which pivots on a vertical axis includes a lock casing for mounting adjacent a door jamb associated with the door. A locking barrel is rotatably mounted to the casing for rotation on an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the door and includes a locking element extending from the casing toward the door for selectively engaging the surface of the door opposite the door jamb for holding the door in a closed position. A movable locking bar co-operates with the barrel for selectively preventing rotation of the barrel to selectively lock the door in its closed position.

  • Patent number: 4534191
Abstract: A security lock for use on sliding doors or gates has a pair of hook bolts which are thrown apart or withdrawn together according to the position of a head on a reciprocable slide. Each bolt has a recess mated to the head with front and rear driving surfaces, this geometry being related to the pivot points of the bolts such that the head drives the bolts positively between their thrown and withdrawn positions with no lost motion and without the need for spring-biasing of the bolts. The slide is deadlocked by a pack of levers, to which a second lever pack is linked, two lever packs being provided so that non-palindromic key-stepping can be employed. If required, the slide can be double-thrown by successive use of two different correct keys, for which different key-hole positions and are provided to cooperate with the lever packs.
