Abstract: Apparatus and methods for distributing iSCSI and SCSI targets. The initiator may assist in the distribution and order the SCSI commands. A subset of target storage processors may act as proxies. Target storage processors forward requests to a selected target storage processor which decides whether any and which of the other target storage processors is to process a forwarded request. The target storage processors may act as peers. A target storage processor communicates each received request to all of the other storage processors. Each of the target storage processors determines whether a request it received is to execute. A target storage processors may arrange themselves into layers to divide the SCSI and iSCSI protocol work. A distributed system associates each of multiple egress target storage processors with a respective ingress target storage processor and associates a set of blocks of storage with each of the egress target storage processors.

Abstract: A padlock is provided with a shackle having a short leg with a first locking recess and a longer leg with an opposed locking recess and a casing having a short and longer recess extending into the casing from a first end to accept the short and long shackle legs respectively. A central recess extends into the casing from the opposite end in and offset recess extends into the casing and intersects the central recess. A transverse recess extends into the casing from one side and intersects the short, longer and central recesses. A cylinder having a key operable barrel is disposed in the body and two opposed balls are supporting within the transverse recess which are capable of protruding into the recesses in the shackle legs respectively. A cam is provided to control the balls and a coupler to facilitate operable coupling between the cam the cylinder. The coupler is mountable within the body to provide a Type 1 padlock or a Type 2 padlock.
Abstract: A locker structure which includes two hemispherical shells each correspondingly mounted to each other, each of the hemispherical shells having corresponding locking-core hole, latching hole, lock-hook hole and locking hole, and the lock-latching hole position is provided with a steel bead or lock-latching element, and the lock-latching hole position is a fixing end having a lock-hook, and the locking hole position allows the actuating end of the locking hook to be inserted and to lock the locker, or the two elements are disengaged to unlock the locker, and the exterior of the two hemispherical shells is mounted with a steel sleeve and the position of the top, bottom of the steel sleeve and the two hemispherical shells are disposed with a steel plate such that the steel sleeve and the structure of the steel plate cover the two hemispherical shells to form a locker.
Abstract: A padlock includes an elongated shackle bar, a lock body mounted on a first end portion of the shackle bar, and a lock unit mounted on an opposite second end portion of the shackle bar. The lock body and the lock unit have cross-sections larger than that of the shackle bar. The lock unit includes a tubular lock housing, a key-operable lock core mounted in the lock housing, and a shackle engaging member mounted rotatably in the lock housing. The shackle engaging member has a shackle engaging portion for engaging the second end portion of the shackle bar, and a core engaging portion connected to the shackle engaging portion.
Abstract: An easily operable combination padlock includes: a casing, a shackle having a long leg member and a short leg member respectively lockable with a pair of locking shuttles slidably held in the casing, a plurality of dials and sleeves rotatably mounted on a bolt longitudinally held in the casing, a conical head portion formed on a top of the bolt tangentially engageable with the two shuttles, and a combination-changing device formed on a bottom portion of the bolt and the casing for resetting a new combination when the padlock is unlocked; whereby upon an outward extending of the two shuttles as urged by the conical head portion of the bolt to engage the two leg members of the shackle, the shackle is locked for locking the padlock; and upon unlocking of the padlock, the conical head portion on the bolt is downwardly depressible without retarding an inward retraction of the two shuttles, the shackle will be upwardly pulled by retracting the shuttles for unlocking the padlock.
Abstract: A padlock concept consisting of a novel shackle comprised of two tapered shackle elements arranged so that they overlay each other to enclose and opening sufficient to accept the sample of a hasp or attachment device. The shackle elements are connected at one end and when unlocked and unlatched are free to move apart, in a motion causing the two shackle elements to separate, providing a clearance between them, at the unconnected end. Each shackle element includes an opening to allow the staple of the hasp to pass to the common opening. This clearance occurs in opposing elements so that when the elements are brought together or closed the staple of the hasp is completely enclosed by the two shackle elements which substantially fill the space available within the hasp staple. The elements are then latched and locked to provide the security function of a padlock engaged with the staple of a hasp or attachment device.

Abstract: A locking apparatus includes a generally cylindrical lock body having a pair of spaced apart radially extending lock ring apertures formed therein for accepting a lock ring and a screw aperture formed in an end of the lock body and extending to an adjacent one of the lock ring apertures for threadably accepting a lock screw. The lock ring has a curved central portion attached at opposite ends to a pair generally straight legs adapted to extend into corresponding ones of the lock ring apertures. The lock screw has a head attached to one end of a threaded body adapted to threadably engage the screw aperture and having a cutting edge formed on an opposite end for engaging one of the legs extending into the adjacent one of the lock ring apertures whereby the lock ring is retained by the lock body.
Abstract: A light-weight type lock having a body assembly and a pair of detachable hasps which protrude from opposite ends of the body. The body is box-like in form with movably related cover and configured body, securable together by keylock operation. The hasp ends are captured between the inner body configuration and the outer body when locked in assembly. In particular embodiments the hasps may be flexible members such as chains, or may be rigid "U" shaped members, either entirely releasible from the body assembly or releasible at one end of the hasp, and the outer and inner body members may slide or may pivot relative to each other to secure and to release the hasps, providing either alternative or simultaneous hasp release.
Abstract: A lock, such as a padlock, is provided with a single, spring biased end journaled bolt for operably interconnecting a shackle with a magnetic key controlled, locking-unlocking mechanism.
