Abstract: A lock for engaging a cable. The lock has a housing with an aperture through which the cable may pass. A first locking member and second locking member are coupled to the housing. A first biasing member is configured to bias the first locking member towards the cable to prevent cable movement in a first direction. A second biasing member is configured to bias the second locking member away from the cable. A third biasing member is configured to selectively bias the second locking member towards the cable to prevent cable movement in a second direction. A trigger is movably coupled to the housing, with the trigger configured to selectively deflect the first locking member away from the cable.

Abstract: A mountable lock includes a lock body and a retaining member. The lock body is configured to be secured to an external structure by at least one fastening member. The lock body includes a lock interface movable from a locking condition to an unlocking condition in response to proper user manipulation of the lock interface. The retaining member includes a first end receivable in a first opening of the lock body and lockingly engageable with the lock body when the lock interface is in the locking condition, the first end being disengageable from the first opening when the lock interface is in the unlocking condition. The at least one fastening member is accessible through a passageway in the lock body that is blocked when the retaining member is in locking engagement with the lock body, thereby preventing disassembly of the lock body from the external structure.

Abstract: A lock apparatus includes a lock body which is slidably mountable over the legs of the shackle. At least one push nut is mounted within a recess carried in the lock body to allow easy insertion of the legs of the shackle through the bores in the lock sections and the at least one push nut, but exerts a substantial force resisting separation of the lock body from the shackle in an opposite direction. The lock body is formed of a unitary one-piece body, or a pair of identical lock sections which are reoriented with respect to each other and inter-engaged to form bores at one edge which receive the legs of the shackle. A method of installing the lock apparatus includes mounting at least one push nut in a lock body and then inserting the legs of the shackle through bores in the lock body and the at least one push nut.

Abstract: A sliding padlock has a shell, a locking assembly, a shackle and a resilient element. The locking assembly is mounted in the shell and has a lock cylinder and a lock rod. The shackle is mounted in a locking end of the shell, is selectively blocked by the lock rod and abuts the resilient element. Because of the resilient element, the shackle is held to abut the shell without external force even when the lock cylinder is unlocked. Therefore, the sliding padlock still holds an object in position when unlocked so a user may take the object easily without using a key.
