Interior Manual Bolt-manipulator Serves As Dog-controller Patents (Class 70/481)
  • Patent number: 8555685
Abstract: An electrically controlled door lock device with a lockset with an inside handle, an outside handle, a spring loaded continuous spindle, biased to maintained a lockset's latch in a projected position and connecting the lockset and the outside handle, a first half and a second half of a clutch connecting the continuous spindle and the inside handle with a spring maintaining the second half of the clutch in predetermined position relative to the first half of the clutch. There is also a mechanical means blocking the first half of the clutch from rotation and electromechanical means controlling the blocking means, the mechanical means built into the second half of the clutch, allowing the second half of the clutch a predetermined degree of free rotation before it engages with the first half of the clutch, the mechanical means built into second half of the clutch, mechanically inhibiting the blocking means.

  • Patent number: 6857300
Abstract: A locking device (1) is provided for a door latch in which a latch bar of the door latch mechanism is turnable to retract a latch bolt of the latch mechanism. A locking means is adapted to be actuated in response to turning of a door handle (3) for the latch mechanism in anti-clockwise direction so as to lock the latch bolt in its extended latching position. It is released by turning the handle in the clockwise direction.

  • Patent number: 6691538
Abstract: An enhanced door lock is capable of being locked from an inner side of a doorplate. At the outer lock portion, a ring seat and a C ring clamp two sides of the outer plate of the doorplate so as to enhance the structure of the doorplate to prevent the door lock from being pulled out. The inner cover is installed with a positioning hole. One side of a top of the control knob is drilled with a stud receiving groove. A positioning pin is placed in a stud receiving groove. The outer sleeve and the stud of the positioning pin are coupled with the stud receiving groove; then the bead resisting against the spring exactly pushes the positioning groove of the stud to resist against a positioning groove. By this structure, the lock is locked from the inner side of the doorplate.

  • Patent number: 6553799
Abstract: A push button door locking mechanism including a push button mounted on a push button carrier housed within an inside spindle of a door lock assembly, a main retractor co-rotatingly attached to the spindle, and an inner cam aligned axially with the push button carrier. The inner cam has a flange portion extending substantially perpendicularly from a driver bar portion of the inner cam. The locking mechanism also includes a locking catch assembly having a first end and a second end. The first end includes a head portion formed to matingly engage the push button carrier. The second end is coupled to a locking wing. The locking catch assembly has a locked position wherein the locking wing matingly engages the flange preventing rotation of the flange with respect to the main retractor and an unlocked position allowing rotation of the flange with respect to the main retractor.

  • Patent number: 6427505
Abstract: It is fitted in the inner escutcheon and is able to be adapted to any lock and in left- and right-handed doors. Once the lock has been opened, after a certain length of time it becomes locked again even though the handle has not been turned. It includes two inner (12) and outer (11) square bars in prolongation, connected to individual tumblers (21, 22) and bearing the operating handles. Both tumblers (21, 22) have a relative angular displacement, turning simultaneously, after the release of a displaceable piece (23) or latch, introduced into a groove (214) of the outer tumbler (21), the latch (23) being assisted by a spring (30). The latch (23) is displaceable from the inside by means of rocker arms (24, 25) operated by lugs (224, 225) of the inner tumbler (22), projecting from the groove (214). From the outside, a reducer motor (40) acts on an endless screw (401), which displaces the spring (30) connected to the latch (23) through a certain angle in order to release it.

  • Patent number: 4866965
Abstract: Disclosed is a lock set for installation in a bored hole in a door having an inside thumb turn locking mechanism. A unique combination camming device, operated by both the thumb turn and independently by the internal spindle through the internal handle, permits inside privacy with a panic proof feature while simultaneously allowing emergency entrance through secondary outside function with an independent means such as a coin or screwdriver.

  • Patent number: 4777810
Abstract: A latching assembly having a retractable latch bolt and a slide bar which retracts the latch bolt by moving either forwardly or rearwardly from an intermediate position. The latching assembly has a rotatably mounted locking rod that rotates 90.degree. between a locking and an unlocking position. The assembly is arranged with a "panic release" system, in that with the locking rod in its locked position, it is possible to push an "inside" button or cylinder forwardly so as to move the locking rod to at least a partially released position to permit the latch bolt to be retracted. Thus, the latch bolt can be retracted from the inside location whether the locking rod is in its locking or unlocking position, but cannot be retracted from the outside location when the locking rod is set in its locked position.

  • Patent number: 4709565
Abstract: An opening device for simultaneously opening two locks of a double-locked door fixed only at the inside of the door for simplifying the action of opening from the inside comprises a cam-operated sliding plate displaceable by a cam actuator on the shaft of the main lock-rotating handle which when displaced simultaneously rotates the shaft of the auxiliary lock by camming action to the unlocked position, but when opening the door from the outside the device does not unlock both locks simultaneously and the opening process requires two separate operations for preserving the anti-burglary features of a normal double-lock system.

  • Patent number: 4632439
Abstract: A door latch (24) suitable for latching a door (20) to a door frame (22). The door latch (24), in a preferred embodiment, has an adjustable nose bolt (36); is "panic unlatchable"; and can be operated by axial or rotational spindle forces supplied by, for example, a push button (48) or a door knob (120). The latch apparatus (24) preferably includes an adjustable nose bolt (36) which is adjustable in and out relative to the spindle (50). A trunnion (58) interposed between the inside handle (46) and the nose bolt (36) allows for relative adjustment of the nose bolt (36) with respect to the handle (46). In addition, a preferred embodiment of the latch apparatus (24) includes a lock lever (100) which forms a recess (108) suitable for capturing a spindle ear (110) to substantially prevent the spindle from operating the latch apparatus (24) to move the nose bolt (36) from a first position to a second position.

  • Patent number: 4510779
Abstract: An aircraft door latching bolt actuating mechanism in which inside and outside handles are provided to selectively actuate a crank having connections with one or more door latching bolts. The outside handle is supported for movement between a normal, generally flush non-operative position and a non-flush operative position permitting movement of the crank to a bolt releasing position. In one form, the handle is pivoted between its ends for swinging movement between its flush and non-flush positions, and in another form is spring biased for pop-up movement from the flush to non-flush position. The outside handle is normally retained in its flush position by a latch or lock engaged with a releasable keeper which can be manually released from the door exterior to enable use of the outside handle. When utilizing the inside handle, a connected first cam operates to release the keeper to enable movement of the pop-up handle embodiment to its non-flush position.
