  • Patent number: 8891229
Abstract: A truck (12?) for mounting a circuit breaker (13) in a switchgear frame (14?) includes wheels (16), a racking screw (20), a nut (22) threaded with the racking screw. The nut floats linearly with respect to the truck. A spring (23) is provided between a portion of the truck and the nut such that during movement of the truck into the frame, rotation of the racking screw causes linear movement of the nut, with the nut pushing against the spring, with the spring pushing the truck to move the truck linearly. Locking structure is coupled with the such that when the truck is stopped and the racking screw continues to rotate, the nut will move to compress the spring, causing the locking structure to move from an unlocked position, disengaged with the frame, to a locked position, engaged with the frame.

  • Patent number: 8601839
Abstract: A drawer lock includes a housing with a cam received therein and the cam has a driving member. A deadlocking bolt in the housing has a driven member which is located so that it can be contacted by the driving member. A main bolt located in the housing and is driven by the cam. The main bolt has a stop portion which can be contacted by the driving member. The main bolt has an engaging stepped face. When the deadlocking bolt is pushed down responsive to closing the drawer, the driven member is engaged with the engaging stepped face by a bias force of a resilient member so that the drawer lock cannot be unlocked. When the cam rotates in one direction, the driving member contacts the stop portion to position the main bolt so that the drawer is not locked unintentionally.

Abstract: A modular drawer safe possessing upper indentions and lower protrusions allowing multiple units in varying sizes to be secured together. The drawer safe uses biometric recognition for its primary locking control and a manual keyed back-up. A multicolored illumination ring situated around the fingerprint reader provides low-level light as a visual point of reference and changes to green light when an authorized fingerprint is scanned or red light if an unauthorized or misread fingerprint is scanned. The drawer opens under its own spring or pneumatically driven motive force. Supplemental illumination within the drawer compartment consist of multiple pairs of red low-level illumination and brighter white illumination. All electrical components are powered by line voltage with an integral battery backup. AC power can be daisy-chained between multiple units thus only requiring a single receptacle to provide power to all components.

  • Publication number: 20100231350
Abstract: The invention relates to a mechatronic lock comprising a linearly movable bolt which can be moved from a retracted position into an advanced position in order to lock the lock. Said lock further comprises an actuating element for manually actuating the bolt, a blocking element which can laterally engage into a profiled section of the bolt in order to block the linear movement of the bolt in the advanced position of the bolt, and an electric drive for moving a movable intermediate element. The blocking element can be actuated by the movable intermediate element via a first spring means, especially a coil spring, in such a way that the spring means can be biased by actuating the drive when the bolt is in the retracted position. The blocking element thus snaps into the advanced position thereof in the profiled section of the bolt when the bolt is advanced, and the bolt is prevented from being retracted.

The angled slot provides an improved camming action which produces the same amount of linear dead bolt motion with 90.degree. of lock plug rotation as a conventional, non-angled slot with 180.degree. of rotation. In addition, since only 90.degree. of rotation is necessary to fully extend or retract the dead bolt, a user can ascertain whether the lock is engaged or not by the relative orientation of the keyway entry. Also, with 90.degree. of lock plug rotation, key retention at the unlocked position can be provided as an added feature of the lock.
