  • Patent number: 11473352
Abstract: A multipoint door lock system comprises a door frame having a bolt opening and a secondary opening. A latch takes an activable position when the door is opened and a pre-armed position when the door is closed. A door-locking tip of the latch protrudes from the secondary opening of the door frame and into a secondary bore of the door when the door is closed. A transfer block moves from an inactive position to an active position upon insertion the deadbolt in the bolt opening. A biasing element causes a displacement of a translating member when the transfer block moves to the active position in the absence of a force sufficient to cause a compression of the biasing element. This action of the translating member locks the latch in its pre-armed position within the secondary bore.

  • Patent number: 5682775
Abstract: A lock having a hand-slideable lock-bolt. A lock body has a transverse bore passing therethrough and in which the lock-bolt can be mounted. The lock-bolt is movable between locking and unlocked positions. A retention element located in the lock body but externally operable prevents the lock-bolt when in the unlocked position from being removed from the lock body. By externally manipulating the retention element the lock-bolt can be released for complete removal from the lock body. A key operable lock cylinder is located in the lock body and prevents the retention element from being manipulated to release the lock-bolt for removal unless a key is inserted in the lock cylinder and the lock cylinder is in an unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 5561994
Abstract: A lock for a sliding door has at least one locking bolt adapted in use to be moved between an open position and a locking position by activation of an operating member which rotates a pinion which engages a pair of drive racks to cause movement of the locking bolt generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bolt and in a direction parallel to a leading edge of a door in which the lock is mounted. The locking bolt is adapted when moved to its locking position to move into locking engagement with a staple-like keep mounted on a frame for the door when the door is in a closed position. A key operated deadlock facility prevents activation of the operating member. Preferably, the lock is also fitted with a safety mechanism so that it cannot be damaged if the door to which it is fitted is closed when the lock is in a locking position, and it is also possible to provide both an automatic latching and a panic feature on the lock.
