Article Storing, Retrieval, Or Arrangement (e.g., Warehousing, Automated Library) Patents (Class 700/214)
  • Patent number: 8237541
Abstract: A bottle cap includes a reservoir; a screw cap; a magnetic lock comprising a magnetically actuated spring bolt on the reservoir, and a hole on the cap; a fingerprint scanner on the reservoir; and a battery powered controller on bottom of the reservoir for fingerprint identification and fingerprint storing. In response to placing a finger on the fingerprint scanner, the fingerprint scanner and the controller are activated, the fingerprint scanner captures a fingerprint from the finger and converts the fingerprint into digital signals which are sent to the controller, the controller compares the digital signals with the fingerprint record(s), if matching the bolt will be compressed to clear the hole with the clearing being kept for a time to disengage the cap from the reservoir, and thereafter the controller and the fingerprint scanner will be deactivated and the bolt will bounce back to its locked position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a substrate processing apparatus in which a target substrate is taken out from a slot of a cassette having a plurality of slots and processed. The substrate processing apparatus includes a substrate processing unit that processes the target substrate, a transfer unit that transfers the target substrate from the cassette to the substrate processing unit and transfers the target substrate processed in the substrate processing unit from the substrate processing unit to the cassette, and a confirming unit that determines whether or not the slot is empty. The substrate processing apparatus further includes a control unit that reads the slot designated to the target substrate and makes the confirming unit to determine whether or not the slot is empty, after the target substrate has been processed in the substrate processing unit but before the target substrate is disposed in the cassette.

Abstract: A cash recycler or other currency handling device includes modules for automatically strapping a plurality of bills together and bagging the strapped bills for transport. A user may determine a number of bills to be bundled in a stack or unit. Once the predetermined threshold is met, the bills will be automatically transferred to a strapping area where the bills will be strapped together for storage or transport. Additionally or alternatively, the bills may be strapped together as they enter a cartridge, such as an overflow cartridge. The strapped bills may be transferred to a bagging module where the stacks of bills will be automatically bagged, each bag including a predetermined number of stacks of bills. The bags will then be transferred to storage for transport.
