Inventory Monitoring Patents (Class 705/22)
  • Patent number: 12153429
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for dynamically repositioning inventory items in a space. The exemplary systems may be configured to receive a signal indicating a change in demand for a product, in which a plurality of items of the product are positioned at a first location within the space. The systems may be configured to determine a second location within the space for positioning at least some items such that a collection time is reduced. The systems may be further configured to generate a route for an autonomous vehicle that includes the first and second locations, as well as a third location where an item for an order is positioned. The systems may then trigger navigation of the autonomous vehicle, based on the route, to reposition the items from the first location to the second location and to collect the item for the order.

Abstract: In an order-picking method for picking at least one ordered good into or onto a target loading aid, goods which are stored in a first storage zone using first loading aids are reloaded, on the basis of a transfer request, from a first loading aid into or onto at least one second loading aid and stored in a second storage zone. When a picking order is obtained, (an) ordered good(s) is/are retrieved from the second storage zone and loaded into or onto the target loading aid. During an execution of the transfer request, the first loading aid is fully or partially unloaded, depending on whether a parameter which is allocated to a type of good reaches a threshold value. Further, a storage and order-picking system carries out the method.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for delivering content to a user so as to optimize and enhance the “experience” of the content. In one embodiment, an optimization and monitoring entity (OME) is used which determines, evaluates, and provides notification and/or recommendation of alternative content delivery platforms which are available to a user. The OME receives requests for content forwarded from a content server containing information identifying requesting devices and/or subscriber accounts. The OME examines the capabilities of the registered devices, and identifies/recommends alternative devices based on e.g., video/audio quality, picture size, bandwidth availability, and/or any other additional capabilities of the client devices. A notification is then sent to the client devices indicating which of the user's devices may receive the content alternatively, or in addition to, the requesting device. The notifications may be interactive, allowing the user to select one or more of the devices for delivery.

  • Patent number: 11468409
Abstract: A hearing aid service system includes a personal communication device (13) acting as a gateway for one or more hearing aids (10, 11) to a remote server (25) accessible via the Internet. The hearing aids (10, 11) have a processor (121) monitoring electrical hearing aid parameters for detecting a change indicating a replacement of a hearing aid component (132; 140), and report the hearing aid component replacement to the remote server (25). The remote server (25) is tracking the consumption of hearing aid components for individual user accounts and identifies a priority item for sale depending on recorded consumption. The priority item for sale is displayed on the hearing aid control application software interface on the personal communication device (13). The remote server (25) completes the transaction based on data stored in the user account. The invention further provides a method for maintenance of a hearing aid.

  • Patent number: 11450002
Abstract: Markers may be presented on different objects in a facility, such as shelves or totes. A marker can use color, placement of elements, blending effects, or infrared light layers to encode data about the object. During operation, a camera within the facility may acquire an image, which includes an image of the marker as presented on the object. The marker can be analyzed to detect marker data encoded therein. By decoding the marker data, details about the marker can be extracted, such as an identification of the object. In addition, using details about the marker location within the image and location data associated with the camera, a location of the object relative to the camera can be determined, as well as an orientation of the object relative to the camera. As the object moves within the facility, the object can be tracked based on this location and orientation data.

  • Patent number: 11430075
Abstract: A beverage dispensing system employs a user-wearable device that contains identification data. The user is associated with the wearable device using the identification data and provides an initial purchase credit also stored in association with the wearable device. To make a purchase, the user positions the wearable device in proximity with a sensor co-located with a beverage dispenser. The sensor receives the identification data and provides it to a payment processor. The processor determines if the purchase request is less than the stored purchase credit and, if so, activates an actuator positioned between a beverage storage container and a beverage dispenser outlet to thereby dispense the beverage. The processor deducts the purchase amount from the available credit and stores the new credit value. The wearable device may communicate wirelessly with the sensor. The processor may be part of the beverage dispenser or remotely located and communicate via a network.

Abstract: A location identifying solution may use a pre-existing infrastructure of smart hubs and smart devices on user's properties to provide location beacons. An autonomous delivery vehicle may request a location signal from the server when nearing a destination for an order. The server may identify a smart hub with connected devices (e.g., light bulbs, speakers, etc.) associated with the user originating the order. The server may generate and transmit beaconing information to the hub. The hub may cause the devices to output a beacon (e.g., to flicker light at a frequency that is undetectable to human eye). Using a computer vision algorithm, the vehicles could detect the beacon and determine the correct property.
