Abstract: A rack assembly for use with an automatic retail device. The rack assembly includes a rack body comprising and a load bar configured to mount to the rack body. The rack body includes a fastening element configured to mount the rack body to a portion of the automatic retail device and a main shelf controller disposed within the rack body and in communication with a microcontroller of the automatic retail device. The load bar includes a weight sensor configured to sense a weight of products positioned on the load bar and a circuit board. The circuit board is disposed on the load bar and in electrical communication with the weight sensor and the main shelf controller. The circuit board transmits a signal corresponding to the weight sensed by the weight sensor to the microcontroller via the main shelf controller.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for electronically managing coupons. The user no longer has to clip and organize coupons. The need for hand processing of coupons is substantially reduced. Rebates or payments for coupons can be substantially hastened and can be deposited directly into a user's bank, credit card, or payment provider account. Merchants and manufactures no longer have to be concerned with receiving bad (e.g., invalid, expired, or counterfeit) coupons. Thus, the electronic coupon management system benefits the users, merchants, and manufactures.

Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable dynamically determining a validity of a return. More specifically, a system obtains a return request from a customer, a transaction history of the customer, and a set of return policy rules. A generative adversarial network (GAN) trained to detect non-genuine returns is applied to the return request. The GAN uses, among other this, the transaction history of the customer and the set of return policy rules as parameters of the GAN. Based on an output of the GAN, at least one return processing action is recommended and implemented.

Abstract: A system includes a user device and a computing system. The user device accesses a plurality of images captured by a camera and identifies, from the plurality of images, a particular image that depicts a portion of a user interaction object. The user device transmits the particular image across a wireless communications network. The computing system accesses the particular image depicting the portion of the user interaction object and determines a data item from the particular image. The computing system compares the data item to one or more accounts of the user and sends instructions to the user device to automatically display an alert message on the electronic display based on the comparison of the data item to the one or more accounts.

Abstract: An image of a transaction receipt is obtained and optical character recognition (OCR) is processed on the image to identify a transaction identifier, a transaction total, and a handwritten amount associated with a transaction. When a confidence value associated with the OCR is above a threshold value, the handwritten amount is processed automatically through a transaction interface for the transaction to update the transaction total for the transaction.

Abstract: Systems and methods that enable product (or service) purchasers, or other such entities, to share promotional materials via social networks and/or other means of communication and may further enable the purchasers to receive rewards, such as rebates, in response to interactions with the promotional materials by others (e.g., friends of the purchaser). In various embodiments, the promotional materials shared by the purchaser relates to the product purchased, which may lend greater credibility and/or interest in the promotional material being shared.

The service device captures a first image of the user, generates a first user facial template based on the first image, and transmits the first user facial template with the account information to a service processing system. The user arrives at the service device to initiate a subsequent service request. The service device captures a second image of the user and generates a second user facial template based on the second image and searches for the first facial template matching the generated second facial template. The service device transmits a first stored matching facial template to the service processing system and a request for account information. The service device receives stored account information associated with the stored first facial template from the service processing system. The service device processes the subsequent service request using the account information.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for securely sending and using proxy element in a mobile wallet system. Through a user interface associated with a proxy originator wallet, user input may be received that defines the parameters of the proxy element. The parameters may include one or more of a spending limit, a time duration, a use number condition, and a transfer condition, and a product condition. A request may be sent from the proxy originator wallet to a proxy approver system to create the proxy element. The originator wallet may receive a proxy grant acknowledgement from the proxy approver system. The grant acknowledgement may instructions for obtaining credentials for the proxy element. The proxy element including the parameters and the instructions for obtaining credentials may be sent to a mobile wallet of a recipient. The recipient mobile wallet may use the proxy element for payment or non-payment transactions.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system for dynamically generating user interfaces for electronic receipts is disclosed. An electronic receipt management server receives and stores a first electronic receipt generated for a transaction made by a customer at a physical store, a customer identifier, and first additional information unique to the physical store. The server receives and stores a second electronic receipt for a transaction made by the customer at an online store, the customer identifier, and second additional information unique to the online store. The server transmits the first and second electronic receipts, the customer identifier, and the first and second additional information, in response to an inquiry containing the customer code. A client device displays a first graphical user interface including a first selectable object to view an image of the first electronic receipt and a second selectable object to view an image of the second electronic receipt.

Various embodiments include a wireless computing device that may be one of several types of devices such as smartphones, mobile telephones, mobile computers, portable digital assistants, laptop computers, gaming devices, electronic tablets, or other types of similar devices that may be used to facilitate the shipping and expedited tracking of objects having a tracking number via multimedia capture and processing.

Abstract: Methods and systems for hearing-impaired payment applications are provided herein. In particular, a method for performing a transaction using a hearing device payment system is provided that includes a hearing device and a cardholder computing device. The method includes pairing the hearing device to the cardholder computing device by means of a wireless communication protocol. A payment application on the cardholder computing device is started to perform a transaction. A cardholder initiates an audible instruction function of the payment application. In addition, the payment application transmits a digital audio signal to the hearing device by means of the wireless communication protocol. The digital audio signal provides an audible instruction to the cardholder via the hearing device.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for real-time detection of duplicate data records. A duplicate detection application generates a set of clusters from a set of data records by grouping each data record in the set of data records according to similarity to respective centroid data records of the set of clusters. The duplicate detection application determines whether a particular data record has a potential duplicate in the set of data records by first comparing the particular data record to the respective centroid data records to identify a most similar cluster in the set of clusters. The duplicate detection application then compares the particular data record to each data record in the most similar cluster.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, systems and methods for facilitating electronic commerce over a network include generating a transfer code for a client, associating the transfer code to a client account related to the client, providing the transfer code to the client over the network, receiving a fund transfer request from a trusted entity on behalf of the client over the network, the fund transfer request including the transfer code, extracting information from the fund transfer request including the transfer code associated with the fund transfer request, accessing the client account related to the client, extracting information from the client account including the transfer code associated with the client account, and verifying the transfer code of the fund transfer request by determining whether the transfer code associated with the client account matches the transfer code extracted from the fund transfer request.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein that relate to network-connected data cables (i.e., “smart” data cables) that are connected to a merchant's point of sale system and a receipt printer. When a transaction is initiated at the point of sale system, transaction data is created by the point of sale system and passed to the smart data cable for transmission downstream to the receipt printer. The smart data cable can parse the transaction data, copy certain elements from the transaction data, and transmit the copied elements to a cloud-based platform that processes the transaction. For example, the cloud-based platform may compare the copied elements to information supplied by the customer through a messaging application executing on the customer's user device. The information may be provided by the customer to a chat bot that is supported by the cloud-based platform.

Further, the invention allows for tracking of the animal in transit and when at a race grounds.

Abstract: A method implemented on an augmented reality (AR) device includes receiving an image of a document on the AR device. The image of the document includes one or more areas of obfuscated text. A marker on the document is identified. The marker is associated with an area of obfuscated text on the document. The marker is scanned using the AR device. When the user of the AR device is authenticated, a non-obfuscated image of the text associated with the marker is displayed on the AR device.

Abstract: A sales data processing device of the present invention accepts operations by an operator, opens a drawer, and is provided with a history acquisition unit, a reference information acquisition unit and an irregularity detection unit. The history acquisition unit acquires a history of operations by the operator. The reference information acquisition unit acquires, from references of standard operations set in advance for each of operations that cause the drawer to open, the standard operation references for operations specified in the history. For each of the operations specified in the history, the irregularity detection unit finds a difference from the standard operation reference acquired by the reference information acquisition unit, and if the difference is of at least a predetermined level, detects that the operation is an irregular drawer operation.

Abstract: Virtual account based digital cash protocols employ two pairs of private and public keys. Each public key is certified separately and the protocols do not use any blind signature schemes. As a result, the virtual account based digital cash protocols provide strong protection of the user privacy by using two certified public keys instead of a blind signature. One pair of certified keys consists of one master user private key and one master user public key. A second pair of certified keys consists of one pseudonym user private key and one pseudonym user public key. The use of a master key pair and a pseudonym key pair circumvents the need for blind signatures. As a result, the proposed protocols do not require blind signatures and do not add additional overhead and security requirements necessitated by conventional blind signature schemes.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a user identification module of an electronic receipt system in electronic communication with a point of sale terminal, a user identifier transmitted from a mobile communication device to a near-field communication enabled communication device associated with the point of sale terminal. The method also includes verifying, by a validation module of the electronic receipt system, an enrollment status of the user identifier; and based on results of the verifying, transmitting, by a transfer module of the electronic receipt system, the user identifier and data characterizing an electronic receipt to a receipt storage module of the electronic receipt system.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for detecting tampering of devices such as fiscal printers. A memory module includes a volatile memory that stores multi-bit data. An operation module allows operation of an electronic device, such as a fiscal printer, in response to determining that the predefined multi-bit data is stored in the volatile memory. A detection module detects an attempt to access the enclosed device where access to the enclosed device is restricted by an enclosure. A tamper switch module disconnects power to the volatile memory such that the predefined multi-bit data stored in the volatile memory is erased in response to the detection module detecting an attempted access to the enclosed device. A shutdown module disables operation of the electronic device in response to determining that the predefined multi-bit data is not stored in the volatile memory.

Abstract: A solution for spontaneous sharing between a sharer and a recipient device of a media asset reference for a media asset purchased through a media service by a user of the sharer device using a short-range wireless protocol is described. The reference includes a network resolvable identifier of a media service from which the media asset was purchased and an identifier of the media asset. The reference can also include the identity of the user who purchased and is sharing the reference thus allowing the media service to track distribution of its asset and provide an incentive based on sharing if desired when the recipient user sends a request for the media asset via the Internet to the media service including the media asset reference.

Abstract: The present disclosure extends to displaying a portion of an image representation of a paper receipt, the image portion corresponding to a selected item from a completed transaction. In embodiments, an “eReceipt,” a digital representation of a paper receipt, is transmitted to and displayed on a customer computing device, such as an app installed on a smartphone. The eReceipt may include a list of items purchased at the transaction and additional information related to the transaction and/or items purchased. In response to the customer selecting one of the items listed on the eReceipt, a snippet of the image of the paper receipt is displayed, the snippet depicting the line item from the paper receipt that represents the selected item.

Abstract: A Virtual Single Account (VSA) system and method that provides a mobile user with automatic authentication and connection to a remote network via local access networks with a single password, where the local access networks may be independent of the remote network. A mobile user has a single authentication credential for one VSA that is utilized by a VSA client installed on a mobile computing device. The VSA client provides for automatically authenticating and connecting the user's mobile device to a current local access network, and the target remote network such as the user's office network. All authentication credentials are encrypted using a key generated from the user's VSA password that is generated from the user's single password. The VSA client derives the key from the submitted VSA password and decrypts all authentication credentials that are required in order to connect the mobile device to the current local access network and thereafter to the office network.
