The bridging module obtains a first read request, and allocates a first data storage space for first return data corresponding to the first read request. The bridging module combines a first master transaction identifier and an address of the first data storage space as a first slave transaction identifier of the first read request, and sends the first read request to a slave device. The bridging module obtains a second read request, and allocates a second data storage space for second return data corresponding to the second read request. The bridging module combines a second master transaction identifier and an address of the second data storage space as a second slave transaction identifier of the second read request, and sends the second read request to the slave device.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for transmitting credentials to a transaction processing system, the credentials arranged in sets and a set including a unique identifier and verification data elements. Credentials are activated and are then available for use in at least one subsequent transaction. In the transaction, in response to receiving authorization from a user, the unique identifier and verification data elements from a set are transmitted to the transaction processing system for the user. The credentials are activated using an activation mode selected from at least a first activation mode and a second activation mode. In the first activation mode, additional user input for the verification data elements associated with the unique identifier is received from the user. In the second activation mode, the user is authenticated, and verification data elements are received via a data communications network are received from a trusted data processing system remote from the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments enable a web site to expose various search providers that it promotes to browsers that navigate to that site. In at least some embodiments, the search providers are exposed using the HTML of a web page. When a browser navigates to that site, it processes the HTML of the associated web page and exposes the promoted search providers to the user. In at least some embodiments, the browser can permit use of one or more search providers without requiring the user to install the search provider. Alternately or additionally, in at least some other embodiments, the browser can enable the user to quickly and efficiently install the search provider so that the search provider can be available whenever the user uses their browser application.

Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus including a key generating section that generates a public key and a private key of second data generated on the basis of at least one or more pieces of first data; a certificate generating section that generates a certificate by using a private key of the first data to give an electronic signature to the public key of the second data or an ID that is generated by using the public key of the second data and can identify the public key of the second data, and to the second data or data generated from the second data; and a trace data processing section that adds, to the second data, the private key of the second data and trace data to be used for tracing a relation between the first data and the second data. The trace data includes the certificate generated by the certificate generating section and trace data added to the first data.

Abstract: A person's drawing capability is used as an authentication credential. During a training phase, a user is asked to hand draw various reference shapes such as a rectangle, flower, etc. These user drawings for a given shape are input to a training discriminator (with an “authentic” label) along with drawings automatically generated from a latent sample (with a “not authentic” label), and the training discriminator computes positive discrimination vectors for this shape that are unique to this user. Thereafter, when the user wants access to a resource (such as an online account, a mobile computing device, or an electronic document), the user is presented with a drawing challenge for one of the reference shapes, and they draw a corresponding challenge image. An image vector for the challenge image is generated, and if the image vector falls within the positive discrimination vectors, access to the resource is granted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs, for satisfying a request for locally-sourced products. The computing device extracts data from each of the plurality of webpages based upon a plurality of features. The computing device generates a plurality of classes for each of the plurality of webpages by using a plurality of classifiers. The computing device assigns a consensus class to each webpage based upon the plurality of classes for the plurality of webpages.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method allows initiating activation in augmented reality of an un-activated physical token. The method includes displaying an augmented reality version of an environment including the physical token. Displaying the augmented reality version of the environment includes capturing an image of a portion of the environment including the physical token; presenting a display of augmented reality corresponding to the portion of the environment by compositing the image of the portion of the environment with a graphical, interactive user interface control, the user interface control positioned in a defined position in augmented reality relative to the physical token. The method further includes, responsive to receipt of input corresponding to an interaction with the user interface control, initiating activation of the physical token. Abstract: A computer that dynamically generates a customized second document is described. During operation, the computer receives information specifying activation of a hosted field in a document associated with a third party, where the information specifies a willingness to receive one or more messages from the computer and specifies a telephone number. In response, the computer dynamically generates the customized second document that includes information about one or more transactions (such as one or more upcoming events) of interest to an individual associated with the telephone number. Then, the computer sends a message to an address corresponding to the telephone number, where the message includes a link to the customized second document. Next, when the computer receives information specifying activation of the link from an electronic device, the computer provides information specifying the customized second document to the electronic device for display on the electronic device.

A device may receive a virtual location associated with transportation of an item to a first location. The device may determine a geographic zone associated with the virtual location. The device may receive a purchase request for the item, from a second device, wherein the purchase request is associated with delivery to a second location. The device may determine an estimated delivery date to the delivery location based on the first delivery time or the second delivery time. The device may send, to the second device, an indication of the estimated delivery date.

The node may diffuse an identity set from each node of the plurality of nodes to the plurality of nodes. The node can then determine a majority set including identities occurring in at least one half of the identify sets, wherein the leader node diffuses the majority set of the leader node to the plurality of nodes. The node can verify the majority set of the leader node. The node may then update the identity set based on the majority set of the leader node.

Abstract: A computer-implemented augmented reality-based method provides a user device access to data content by processing of camera image captured by the user device to identify a candidate visual area, which are then processed to identify visual features indicative of available data content. The identified features are compared to visual features of database objects indicative of available data content, and a determination made regarding the object that corresponds to the identified features. Instructions are then generated to augment a display of the camera image with selectable image features. In response to a selection of one of the selectable image features, a determination is made regarding whether the user device has permission to access the data content associated with the selected image feature. If not, a payment settlement arrangement is implemented for the user device to gain access permission to the data content.

Such extraction can take place without the use of a browser, and without necessarily rendering the entire web page. In at least one embodiment, data extraction and translation are performed by automatically parsing structured data from visible and hidden elements of a web page.

Abstract: A high-performance distributed ledger and transaction computing network fabric over which large numbers of transactions (involving the transformation, conversion or transfer of information or value) are processed concurrently in a scalable, reliable, secure and efficient manner. In one embodiment, the computing network fabric or “core” is configured to support a distributed blockchain network that organizes data in a manner that allows communication, processing and storage of blocks of the chain to be performed concurrently, with little synchronization, at very high performance and low latency, even when the transactions themselves originate from distant sources. Running the string algorithm may comprise receiving a set of strings, generating a trie based on the received set of strings, receiving the title, and traversing the generated trie using the title to find a match. Using the machine learning algorithm may comprise identifying words in the title, learning a vector representation for each character n-gram of each word, and summing each character n-gram.

Abstract: An online store offering a product that is currently unavailable can still fulfill an order for the product by querying a multi-store inventory database to see if the product is available from brick-and-mortar stores near the customer. Proximity of local stores is based on a customer location in the customer's profile. Local store selection can be based on product matching policies such as a threshold price difference for the product compared to the online store price. If the customer approves local store pickup, the service generates a voucher to purchase the product directly from the local stores, and presents it to the customer via the online presence. The customer can then redeem the voucher at any of the indicated local stores and pick up the product. When the system receives confirmation of redemption of the voucher, a credit is issued from the online store to the local store.

At time of the event, notification component notifies recipient of the gift being presented to recipient via the pool, the gift comprising money, a product, or offer for a product.

The spot instance market monitor determines, based on the market information, a respective reliability value for each of the spot instances at the first time. Then, the scheduler selects one spot instance among the spot instances based on the reliability value of the spot instance. In response to the selection of the spot instance, the scheduler schedules a container on the spot instance and executes the container on the spot instance.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a natural language query requesting data from a message oriented middleware infrastructure comprising a plurality of message oriented middleware providers, and analyzing the natural language query to determine one or more types of the data being requested. In the method, one or more queries corresponding to the determined one or more types of the data are dynamically generated. The one or more queries are in native command formats corresponding to respective ones of the plurality of message oriented middleware providers. The method also includes executing the one or more queries in the native command formats to retrieve the data from the plurality of message oriented middleware providers, and providing a response to the natural language query based on the retrieved data to a user via a user interface.

Providing a context for figuratively ‘seeing and feeling’ the results for a proposed financial strategy may assist the user in better understanding the impact of the financial strategy. Information provided in this context may educate the user with regards to the amount of income or savings required to achieve a goal over a time period. A goal for a user may be displayed as an image in a virtual reality scene based on gathered user information. The image representing the goal may be displayed according to a percent of clarity based on the financial amount needed to achieve the goal. The image may be changed based on the amount over a perceived virtual reality time period.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing an in-person transaction process are provided. In example embodiments, a network system receives, from a first user device, information regarding a service or an item. Using the received information, the network system generates an unpublished listing and associates the unpublished listing with a session identifier. The unpublished listing is temporarily stored to a datastore. The network system then generates a scannable code that provides a uniform resource identifier (URI) associated with the session identifier. The scannable code is presented on the first user device, whereby the scannable code can be scanned by a second user device to access, via the URI, a transaction user interface associated with the session identifier. In response to a request to access the transaction user interface triggered by the second user device scanning the scannable code, the transaction user interface is displayed on the second user device.

When a user encounters, on a third party web site, a presentation of an item that is linked to a listing maintained by the on-line trading platform, the user may simply click on the presentation of the item, which causes presentation of a visual control selectable to launch a transaction processing flow facilitated by the on-line trading platform, without requiring the user to leave the third party web site.

Probability metrics are maintained for items, the probability metrics indicating frequencies with which users have selected each item as a next hop after viewing another item. Responsive to the user viewing a baseline item, a probability of selection as a next hop is determined for each of a plurality of items based on the probability metrics. The items are ranked according to the probabilities of selection and presented to the user.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for facilitating affiliate link generation using a web browser application. A publisher enables the system by identifying a webpage on an affiliate web site. The system performs an initial assessment of the page to extract webpage information, which is compared to information stored in a database. If the extracted information matches stored information, a record of the webpage is displayed and an affiliate link is dynamically generated for immediate use. If the extracted information does not match stored information, a new record of the webpage is created. If the webpage contains product-specific data, a product-specific record is stored. If the webpage does not contain product-specific data, a non-product record is stored. An affiliate link is then dynamically created. The new record of the product and dynamically created affiliate link is added to the database for immediate use.

Abstract: Unauthorized and fraudulent use of a cloud computing system may be reduced or mitigated using a multi-threshold based method to identify fraudulent subscribers of the cloud. The multi-threshold based method may assign a fraud threshold to each resource of the cloud. The fraud thresholds of the multi-threshold based method may be adjusted based on one or more characteristics associated with one or more of the plurality of resources in the cloud. The one or more characteristics may include a capacity percentage associated with the plurality of resources, fraud distribution among the plurality of resources, cost of operation associated with the plurality of resources, anticipated or actual subscriber growth rate associated with the plurality of resources and/or anticipated or actual subscriber fraud risk associated with the plurality of resources.
