  • Patent number: 12236392
Abstract: A communication protocol provides for a smartphone transmitting location information to a control circuit and the control circuit then determining whether the smartphone is within a predetermined distance of a particular facility, and, when true, determining whether a temporal flag is active for the smartphone. If true, the control circuit does not respond to the smartphone. When the smartphone is within the predetermined distance of the particular facility and that temporal flag is not active, however, the control circuit transmits an in-app alert to the smartphone to provide the user with an opportunity to indicate whether the user will now take a particular action, or not. When the smartphone transmits a not-now message to the control circuit, the latter sets the aforementioned temporal flag.

  • Patent number: 12223538
Abstract: For each retailer in the geographic region, an online system predicts a number of orders placed at the retailer and a capacity to fulfill orders during a forecast time period. The capacity of the retailer is predicted based on a number of pickers expected to be available to the retailer during the forecast time period. The online system determines demand for the services of a picker at the retailer based on a comparison of the predicted number of orders and the predicted capacity to fulfill those orders. The online system displays a user interactive map of the geographic region to the picker. The map displays a pin at the location of each retailer in the geographic region, which describes the categorization determined for the retailer. The picker selects a pin, which causes the user interactive map to display a notification characterizing the demand for services at the retailer.

  • Patent number: 12131367
Abstract: A computer method for identifying product in a distributor's inventory system that fulfills a product request made via a natural language query. the natural language query is received as a product request including multiple words in sequential order. The words are vectorized into word-vectors that are concatenated and used to generate a query embedding. The query embedding is processed utilizing a trained product category classifier that predicts which product category the requested product belongs. Forward and backward sequence vectors are generated from the sequentially ordered words of the query that are concatenated and processed using a trained model specific to the predicted product category. The sequence vectors represent positional relationships between the words of the natural language query. Thereafter, the system identifies product attribute(s) embodied in the natural language query that each correspond to a predetermined key-characteristic of the category.

  • Patent number: 11983675
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating user interface components corresponding to services performed by merchants and periods of time for performing the services. The techniques may include a payment processing service determining service information associated with services performed for merchants for whom the payment processing service has processed payments. In examples, a duration-identification model may be trained using at least one of employee-management data, appointment data, or catalog data. The duration-identification model may be applied to stored transaction data to determine duration information associated with the service(s) performed by the merchants. Based on the service information and duration information, user interface components may be generated without user input from a user. The user interface components may correspond to the service and periods of time for performing the services.

  • Patent number: 11972417
Abstract: An encrypted payment message is received from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant. The payment message is parsed using a first parsing algorithm to obtain merchant identifying information. The merchant identifying information is associated with at least a second parsing algorithm or at least one settlement algorithm. The payment message is parsed using the second parsing algorithm to obtain payment information for the transaction. A first settlement algorithm is applied to the payment information to determine an adjusted interchange rate. The payment information including the adjusted interchange rate is submitted to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant, using a payment algorithm. A second settlement algorithm applied to the payment information determines a buyer rebate which can be submitted to the settlement processor. A transaction result is reported to at least one of the merchant or the buyer.
