Abstract: The UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC PAYMENT APPARATUS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“UEP”) transform touchscreen inputs into a virtual wallet mobile application interface via UEP components into purchase transaction triggers and receipt notices. In one implementation the UEP provides, via a user device, a product information search request; and obtains, in response to the product information search request, information on a first product for sale by a first merchant and a second product for sale by a second merchant. The UEP generates a single purchase transaction request, using the information on the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant. The UEP provides, via the user device, the single purchase transaction request for payment processing. Also, the UEP obtains an electronic purchase receipt for the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant.

Abstract: In some embodiments, methods and systems of managing products at a retail sales facility include scanning a product in a stocking cart at the retail sales facility using a hand-held electronic device including a processor. At least two of the following three functions may be performed based on the scanning of the product. First, the stocking cart may be audited by comparing scanned data to data contained in an inventory management database. Second, a determination of whether the item is on a pick list may be made, which may include determining a demand for the scanned product to arrive at a decision whether to store the product in the stock room or place it on a shelf on the sales floor. Third, if the item is to be stored in the stock room, a determination of whether identical items are stored in bins in the stock room may be made.

Abstract: A method selectively modifies an existing production order based on a change request. An order configuration module (OCM) receives order specifications for a second order that replaces and/or modifies a first order, while the first order is being fulfilled. The OCM generates hash tag pairs respectively associated with various characteristics of the orders. For each hash tag pair, the OCM compares a first hash tag associated with the first order with a second hash tag associated with the second order, using an established pattern. If the hash tags match, the OCM includes within a second production order, an unchanged production specification corresponding to the first hash tag. If a match does not occur, the OCM initiates an order reload, which provides, within the second production order, new production specifications that are associated with the second hash tag.

Abstract: Methods and systems for wireless transmission-based incentives driving social media engagement are provided. An incentive structure may be stored in a database in memory regarding one or more incentives each based on a defined benchmark of social media activity. Information associated with a wireless transmission-based tag may be via a wireless transmission reader. A product/service associated with the information read from the wireless transmission-based tag may be identified. Such identified product/service may further be associated with product/service-specific information stored in a product/service database. A template for a social media communication may be provided based on the product/service-specific information associated with the identified product/service. Such social media communication based on the template may be shared with one or more social networks. Activity related to the social media communication may then be detected as having met the defined benchmark.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which facilitate providing a marketplace for acquisition of service images to be executed in a hosted computing environment. Service image providers submit service images for inclusion in the service image marketplace. Providers may further specify pricing and usage conditions associated with the service images. Customers browse and select service images for hosting on either the marketplace hosted computing environment, or an alternate hosted computing environment. If necessary, customers may submit payment information. The service image marketplace may monitor usage of hosted service images and bill customers according to use.

Abstract: A method performed by a computing system configured to synchronize a source bill of material with a target bill of material includes, in response to a determination by the physical computing system that a revision has been applied to a source node from a tree structure representing the source bill of material since a corresponding target node from a tree structure representing the target bill of material was last updated, calculating a change from the source node to the target node with the physical computing system, and updating, with the physical computing system, the target node with the revision if the calculated change matches a stored difference derived from a revision history associated with the source bill of material.

Based at least in part on a pickup location of the first merchant, the service provider may send a communication to a first courier device associated with a first courier of a plurality of couriers. For example, the communication may include location information for a recommended location to which the first courier is to move to be in position for picking up an order from the merchant that is predicted to receive the order.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods and computer readable media for facilitating delivery of a digital notification of a physical product to inform a recipient of the identity of the physical product. A digital notification may inform the recipient of the identity of a physical product ordered for the recipient by a sender. A digital unwrapping trigger may be utilized to ensure that the recipient is authorized to view the identity of the digital product. For example, the digital notification may not identify the identity of the physical product until a particular date has passed (e.g., a holiday or birthday), until the recipient performs a certain task, or until the recipient meets a certain goal. In response to the trigger occurring, the digital notification may be enabled for viewing of the identity of the physical product. The physical delivery of the product may be coordinated with delivery of the digital notification.

Abstract: Credit card fraud prevention techniques are disclosed in which the authorization of a payment card may be performed using information obtained from a mobile device (e.g., a smart phone) associated with a user who initiates a point-of-sale payment card transaction. In one implementation, a device may receive a request for authorization of a payment associated with a payment card; and obtain location information relating to a location of a mobile device associated with a user of the payment card. The device may determine, based at least on a location of the point-of-sale terminal and the location of the mobile device, whether to authorize the request for authorization of the payment.

Finally, a structured data mining module uses a web crawler, at the direction of a crawler configuration, to systematically obtain product inventory information from various third-party websites. Accordingly, a user's search query is processed to provide geographically relevant product inventory information in near real time.

Abstract: Proximity-triggered notifications/alerts are communicated to bank customers as a result of a previously abandoned/canceled ATM transaction that has subsequently been pre-queued for completion. In this regard, the present invention recognizes when the customer is proximate in location to a financial institution channel suitable for completing the transaction and sends the customer an alert, which is typically received by the customer via a mobile communication device. The alert indicates that the previous abandoned ATM transaction has been pre-queued for completion and provides the customer with the location of the nearest financial institution channel suitable for completing the transaction. In specific embodiments of the invention, pre-queuing of the transaction for completion provides for the customer to complete the transaction from the last existing point in the transaction completed by the customer.

Abstract: Techniques for augmenting an image of an object captured and displayed in real time with associated content are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method for augmenting the image includes receiving information defining a sampled frame of a video being captured by an electronic device in substantially real time, determining information representative of an object captured in the sampled frame based on the received information, causing the determined information to match stored information defining a plurality of items to locate an item matched to the captured object, retrieving content associated with the matched item, and providing the retrieved content for display with the captured image on the electronic device. The retrieved content may be rendered in an overlay element that overlays the captured image displayed on the electronic device. The rendered content is configured to enable a user to interact with the content.

The suggested information may be different from a fixed set of information about an item, such as keywords, attributes or characteristics of an item, generally provided by a manufacturer or seller of the item. Users can submit to a service the information that they feel is relevant to the item, such as a brief explanation of relevance and a detailed explanation that would help other users to make a decision about the item. The submitted information may be associated with the item information and stored in a data store and utilized as additional attributes of the item for a search. In addition, when a user requests detail information about an item, the user-submitted information may be displayed to the user.

In an embodiment, a first attribute value that defines an attribute of a custom product is received from a user that is customizing the custom product. In response to receiving the first attribute value, a legal set of attribute values for a second attribute of the custom product or an accessory product may be determined. The legal set of attribute values identifies one or more attribute values of the second attribute of the custom product or accessory product that are compatible with the first attribute value. The legal set of attribute values may identify a continuous range of values where any value within the continuous range of values is compatible with the first attribute value. In an embodiment, the user may be limited to selecting accessory products having a legal attribute value.
