A user can take advantage of one or more social networks to facilitate purchases by proxy shoppers for the user. For example, the user can designate what products can be purchased by a proxy shopper and what stores can be used by the proxy shopper to make the purchases. The products can be listed in a registry on the user's social network. When the proxy shopper is in a designated store, the proxy shopper can purchase a designated products for the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure facilitate scheduling and managing a project. In some embodiments, the system includes a quoting module, a product data module, and a project planning module executing on at least one processor of a server. The product data module may be configured to store at least one product. The product stored in the project module may have a product class indicating that the product is a labor product, parts product, or agreements product. The system may be configured to copy products from the product data module to the quoting module. Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for processing payment transactions that are conducted using a mobile device that includes a contactless element, such as an integrated circuit chip. The invention enables the updating, correction or synchronization of transaction data maintained by an Issuer with that stored on the device. This is accomplished by using a wireless (cellular) network as a data communication channel for data provided by an Issuer to the mobile device, and is particularly advantageous in circumstances in which the contactless element is not presently capable of communication with a device reader or point of sale terminal that uses a near field communications mechanism. Data transferred between the mobile device and Issuer may be encrypted and decrypted to provide additional security and protect the data from being accessed by other users or applications.

The search query option may include a user-selectable graphical component enabling the user to invoke find in page based on a search term entered into the search field of the browser. The user may select the graphical component to initiate a search for the term within a web page that is either displayed or will be displayed to the user via the web browser. The displayed web page may include a visual indication of each occurrence of the search term within the web page.

Abstract: Systems and methods for extracting user identifiers over encrypted communication traffic are provided herein. An example method includes monitoring multiple flows of communication traffic. A sequence of messages is then sent to a user in accordance with a first temporal pattern. A flow whose activity has a second temporal pattern that matches the first pattern is then identified among the monitored flows. The identified flow is then associated with the user.

Abstract: A system and method for increasing displaying time of online advertisements. Upon receiving a search request including one or more search terms, a search engine may identify a list of search results and display the search results on one side of a result page. The search engine may also obtain a list of advertisements and display the list of advertisements on the other side of the result page. When a user scrolls down to look at search results at a lower portion of the result page, the list of advertisements may be moved down, following the movement of the screen, so that at least a part of the list of advertisements may keep being displayed on the current screen. Since the online advertisements are visible to the user for a longer time, there are more opportunities for the online advertisements to get the user's attention, and consequently more opportunities for the user to click on an advertisement. As a result, the efficiency of online advertising may be improved.

Abstract: In a Distributed Virtual Array data storage system, a storage pool receives, from at least one writing entity within a host, a request to write a container of data that is identified by a unique key that is independent of physical storage identifiers and that comprises a set of data chunks. The key indicates a plurality of storage devices in which to store the data chunks, which are accordingly stored in those storage devices. Different combinations, each comprising a layout map, of storage devices are represented in a layout table. Information in the container key is used to select which layout map to use for the chunks of each container. An error-correction chunk is preferably also stored along with the chunks of each container so as to enable data container reconstruction in case of storage device failure.

Abstract: A method is provided for determining a website user behavioral portrait based on navigation on the website and dynamically reconfiguring web pages based on those portraits. In accordance with the method, data relating to the progress of a user through a website is recorded, and an ongoing behavioral portrait of the user is built based on the data. Abstract: An advanced context-aware platform is integrated with a variety of other applications to allow processing of contextual information from various sources. One type of application may provide spatial and temporal context information for various actions. Another type of application may provide additional information for an action within a social and/or business context. These contextual information types are received and assimilated by the platform in order to enrich the data value chain. Processing large volumes of data and events may be facilitated in a scalable and rapid manner utilizing technologies such as in-memory databases (e.g., the HANA database available from SAP AG), and/or complex event processing (CEP) such as is available from Sybase ESP. Context-aware platforms according to embodiments may find particular use in providing context to systems implementing gamification in an enterprise environment.

Searching the social network comprises searching member profiles and searching member activities. A plurality of types of triggers includes people updates, company updates, product purchases, and product usage.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to automatically identifying web browsing tasks based on a web browsing interaction history. According to one embodiment of the invention, a web browsing interaction history of a user is analyzed to identify web browsing actions associated with web sites. Abstracted action sequences for the web browsing actions that are identified are generated, and action subsequences for the abstracted action sequences are generated. A similarity between each of the action subsequences is determined, and similar action subsequences are designated as a web browsing task.

A first weighted tag is received from a first reader of an electronic posting that supports tagging by non-authors. The first and second weights are summed to generate a summed weight of the first and second weighted tags. Abstract: Systems and techniques for searching multiple data sources are described herein. Users may specify searches of multiple data sources to occur on a periodic basis. The searches may be configured to search time or date ranges that have not previously been searched. A user may select the data sources of interest and specify search terms, review and edit previously created searches, and review results of searches. The system automatically performs the specified searches, and notifies the user and/or a team of the user each time new results are found. The system may efficiently search the data sources by storing previous search results and comparing the previous results to current search results to identify new search results.
