Abstract: A device may determine its location within a store and display the location on a map of the store. A user may provide a shopping list to the device. The device may then display the location of desired items on the map of the store. When an item is located in multiple locations, the device may display one or more of the locations for the item. The device may suggest a route through the store by which the user can find all of the items on the shopping list. The device may recommend products to the user based on items near the device, items on the shopping list, or items identified by the user. The device may have the ability to identify items. The device may communicate with the server to gather information about an identified item.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a pharmacy order-picking device. The present method reduces the susceptibility of the pharmacy order-picking device to disruption. To detect a positioning deviation of the control appliance in the horizontal direction, at least one desired value of at least one reference position is made available, the control appliance is brought to a position corresponding to the desired value in the horizontal direction and, when a signal characteristic of a reference position is detected, an actual value of this reference position is determined. A desired value is compared with a corresponding actual value, or two actual values are compared with each other, and a deviation is determined. If a deviation is determined that exceeds a limit value, a signal pointing to the need for a correction is output. Depending on the deviation, automatic correction of the position deviation can be performed.

Abstract: A smart home environment shopping system. One or more inventory needs lists are received from one or more respective smart appliances. Sources for available inventory items on the received inventory needs lists are identified, based on pre-defined rules. In another aspect of the invention, the available items are displayed to a user, and one or more inputs indicating inventory items to purchase are received. In a further aspect, associated metadata for one or more of the available items is displayed, the metadata including one or more of: price, discounts, quality, brand, flavor, user reviews, and advertisements. In a further aspect, one or more optimal travel routes connecting all identified sources of the available inventory items on the received inventory needs lists are determined.

Abstract: A method provides for using a wireless patron unit within a venue and within a vicinity of the venue. The method includes providing at least one patron with a wireless patron unit by either permitting the at least one patron to temporarily use a provided wireless patron unit that includes at least one venue specific application program, or by providing at least one venue specific application program to the at least one patron for downloading into a patron-owned wireless communication device that can be used during the at least one patron's visit to the venue. The method also includes connecting the wireless patron unit to a server enabling communication between the wireless patron unit and the server, entering a patron order for at least one item or service provided by the venue into the wireless patron unit, and determining a current location of the wireless patron unit.

Abstract: A latency analysis system determines a latency period, such as a wait time, at a user destination. To determine the latency period, the latency analysis system receives location history from multiple user devices. With the location histories, the latency analysis system identifies points-of-interest that users have visited and determines the amount of time the user devices were at a point-of-interest. For example, the latency analysis system determines when a user device entered and exited a point-of-interest. Based on the elapsed time between entry and exit, the latency analysis system determines how long the user device was inside the point-of-interest. By averaging elapsed times for multiple user devices, the latency analysis system determines a latency period for the point-of-interest. The latency analysis system then uses the latency period to provide latency-based recommendations to a user. For example, the latency analysis system may determine a shopping route for a user.

Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for the internet user to order items, including gifts and flowers, from a website and to be able to send the order to a recipient without having the user provide the recipient's mailing but only the recipient's email address. After the user submits the order in the website, an email is sent to the recipient requesting the recipient to either accept or reject the order. If the recipient accepts the order, the recipient enters in their mailing address in the website, which is not disclosed to the user, and the order will then be delivered to the recipient. If the recipient rejects the order, the user's order will be cancelled and the order will not be delivered to the recipient.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel multi ecommerce floating window configured to allow a shopper to surf and collect variety of items/products from separated independent ecommerce websites into one electronic shopping cart. The invention is also directed to a method and system for purchasing products from a plurality of unrelated internet commerce sites offering products for purchase through electronic commerce systems using said novel multi ecommerce floating window provided herein. The shopper may purchase the collected products in the shopping cart by a single payment process that is independent of the ecommerce sites that the products were collected from. Finally, the purchased products are all being gathered into one package to be delivered to the shopper.

The method can also include receiving product selections and generating an optimized shopping basket based on the selected stores, the typologies shopping list and the product selections.

A simple user interface/activation device such as a push button or membrane switch is coupled to the logic circuit or processor. The stand-alone device is incorporated into or with product packaging, and may be configured with a resupply code at or after a point of sale. A user may activate the user interface of the device when the product needs resupplying, causing the resupply code to be transmitted to an access point or terminal that initiates a reorder sequence for the product.

Shopping locations are verified at the location with a simple confirmation dialog on the WCD and suggested names are provided from a list of points of interests. Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating a purchase are described. A user logs in to a payment service provider site. The user provides authorization to use a one-page checkout service. The user's information is captured during the session, and a cookie is placed on the user's device. When the user goes on a merchant website and checks out using the payment service provider, the payment service provider detects the cookie on the user device. The payment service provider uses the cookie, and in one embodiment, centrally stored information, to populate the one-page checkout page with the last used payment. In various embodiments, the one-page checkout page also displays a shipping address.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for automatically detecting the topology of output devices present in a network, and for automatically configuring those output devices for outputting a specific media type. One or more network devices are present in a computer network environment configured for processing orders for physical and/or electronic photographic prints. Such network devices may have one or more output devices attached thereto for fulfilling consumer orders for photographic prints. In accordance with a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the system and method described herein query the network devices to determine the numbers and characteristics of output devices that are attached to and active on each network device, update a listing of such available output devices on an administrative management unit attached to the network, and configure each such output device for outputting specific media types.
