Abstract: A first interface, such as a set of search results, is presented that includes first data in a first region and second data in a second region. Presented data may include images, text, or other information associated with items available for purchase. User input indicating a portion of the first data is received. In response to the user input, third data that is related to the indicated portion of the first data is determined. The third data is presented in the first region of the interface in place of the first data. Further input to the first region may return the first data to view. As a result, a user may view the third data within the first interface without navigating to a separate interface. Selection of a navigational link associated with the third data may navigate to a portion of a subsequent interface where the third data is presented.

Abstract: An order for a product or service can be processed over a global network using emoji characters. A system server establishes a platform for a user to place a request order for the product or service, and the user is enabled to place the request order for delivery of the product or service by depositing an emoji character. The system server maps the emoji character to the product or service. The system server generates a fill order for the product or service and communicates the fill order to a provider, whereupon the system server directs the provider to fulfill the fill order.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide systems and methods for purchasing items using an e-commerce shopping assistant. In one embodiment, the system includes a processor to perform operations for receiving an electronic message comprising a web address from a user's mobile device via SMS, accessing a web page using the web address, identifying an item for purchase based on the content of the web page, retrieving the user's account information based on an identifier of the mobile device, wherein the account information comprises user preferences and user profile information, identifying merchants from which to purchase the identified item, selecting a merchant from the identified merchants based on the user preferences, configuring the purchase transaction based on the user preferences and the user profile information, and completing the purchase transaction at a merchant system of the selected merchant.

The customer is presented with one or more graphical user interfaces that allow the user to purchase the matching items. UPC codes can be used to index a retailer's product to a corresponding item on a teacher's generic school supply list.

While two users are independently browsing the same merchant's store in parallel, the system may enable sharing or cross-sharing of commerce event data from a first user's browsing session to be injected into the other user's browsing session, so that the other user may follow along with the first user's browsing activity. The sharing may be dependent upon the first user enabling a live browse event and the other user subscribing to it. The sharing may be dependent upon subscribers having an active browsing session in the same merchant store as the first user's browsing session. To the extent that a subscribing user navigates to a different merchant or store, the sharing of commerce event data may be stopped or reduced to reflect the fact that the two users are no longer browsing the same merchant location in parallel.

The player determines an effective start time of the video stream based upon the selecting video channel where the effective start time is a time later than an earliest time referenced in the plurality of variant manifests. The player enables reverse of the video stream based upon one of the variant manifests to as early as the effective start time and not enabling reverse of the video stream based upon one of the variant manifests to a time earlier than the effective start time.

In one technique, a first trigger event within a first widget of a first page of an application is detected. The non-modal window includes information associated with items indicated by the first widget. A second trigger event associated with one of the items within the non-modal window is detected on the first page of the application. A selection state of the item is determined and stored in response to the second trigger event. The non-modal window is collapsed in response to detection of a third trigger event outside of the non-modal window.

Abstract: In embodiments, methods and systems for order management and processing based on a distributed commerce platform are provided. A distributed commerce platform supports end-to-end integrated product publication, order-management and payment services. In particular, the distributed commerce platform supports components based on Application Programming Interfaces (API) that standardize the implementation of a distributed commerce solution or configuration of off-site buying experiences. Using the distributed commerce platform, merchants can concurrently offer, sell, and process orders for products through a plurality of different affiliate channels. The distributed commerce platform can also be implemented as a federated portal from which a merchant can identify affiliate channels to publish product objects, access the plurality of affiliate channels and define configurations for processing objects of the merchant's distributed commerce solution.

Abstract: A universal and portable virtual resource event container that is provided by an identity-protection entity on behalf of a cloaked user. The resource event container is configured to log into or otherwise access networked sites and make calls to network entity APIs as directed by the user as they navigate the site and select objects for inclusion in the virtual resource event container instead of the resource event container provided by the network site. Subsequently, the resource event is completed between the network entity and the identity-protection entity. The network entity is unaware of the identity, or any other personal information associated with the user. In addition, objects in the resource event are delivered in an anonymous fashion, such that, the final delivery destination is unknown to the network entity and one or more hops along the delivery route. Thus, the present invention affords a user complete anonymity throughout the entire resource event.
