In an example embodiment, the method includes implementing a structured documentation plan in a SOA governance tool using a computer processor. Abstract: The complexity of regulations in healthcare, financial services, and other industries makes it difficult for enterprises to design and deploy effective compliance systems. The present invention supports compliance by using formalized portions of applicable laws to regulate business processes that use information systems. An embodiment of the present invention uses a stratified fragment of Prolog with limited use of negation to formalize a portion of the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). An embodiment of the invention provides for deployment in a prototypical hospital that implements a Web portal messaging system.

A product test plan generation system (PTPGS) enables a user to interact with a user interface to retrieve a test plan for a particular product. The test plan can be used to obtain test results for the particular product.

A series of transformations can be applied to the compliance-relevant data. A compliance threshold can be provided to the compliance management system and compliance scoring can be provided.

Abstract: A method for generating healthcare provider quality rating data includes grouping claim records into one or more claim groups, assigning each claim group to a responsible provider, assessing the claim records in each claim group using guidelines for the particular disease or condition, and generating a compliance score for the claim group, wherein the compliance score indicates the extent to which the claim records in the claim group match the guidelines, and generating normalized provider quality rating data. A method for generating healthcare provider cost rating data includes grouping claim records into one or more claim groups, assigning each claim group to a responsible provider, calculating the total cost of each claim group, aggregating the total cost for each claim group, and comparing the total aggregate cost of each claim group assigned to each provider to an expected cost value.

Abstract: The system includes a unique automated and reusable validation process in support of the issuance of the registration seal. This includes the following: (1) individual identity validation; (2) individual/business association validation; and (3) business status validation. Abstract: Methods of testing and certifying a package for transport to a customer and use by a customer, and of correcting packaging failures due to transport and use in the field. A package such as, for example, a bulk composite constructed package for shipping welding material product, is tested according to a selected testing protocol. The test results are analyzed and packaging attributes of the package are transformed based on the analyzed test results if the tested package fails any aspect of the testing protocol. Packaging attributes that may be transformed include packaging component design, packaging markings, packaging handling instructions, packaging component manufacturing procedures, packaging component testing procedures, and packaging assembly procedures. Once the package passes all aspects of the testing protocol, customer certification documentation is generated.

The method is capable of identifying both potential non-reporters and potential under-reporters. In this regard, potential under-reporters may be identified as a result of a multilevel review that may take into account the recent reporting history, both in terms of frequency and the type and quantity of unclaimed property that has been reported. The potential non-reporters and potential under-reporters may then be further evaluated, such as by means of an audit or other follow up procedure, to insure compliance.

The system generates reports using data from the database. The reports may be periodic, annual, or on-demand and consolidate the requirements of multiple regulatory schemes to prevent unnecessarily duplicative record-keeping and reporting. This input biometric data is then compared to the biometric data stored in the card. If the input biometric data matches the stored biometric data the identity of the cardholder is confirmed. The secure card also comprises a transparent input area to separate the cardholder from an identity verification machine.
