Login credentials provided by a user are received when communicating through a first user device, and a temporal identifier is created for the user and provided to the first user device. Prior to expiration of the temporary key, login credentials provided by the user on a second different user device are received. The temporal identifier is re-created for the user and provided to the second different user device. A first request is received from the first or second different user device. The temporal identifier is stored and an identifier associated with the device. A second request is received from the other device. A device identifier for the first and second different user device are linked in association with the temporal identifier. The linking is used to respond to the second request.

Abstract: Personalized services often utilize individual profiles, such as social network profiles, product purchase histories, or browsing histories. However, personalization may exhibit or imply a familiarity level between the service and the individual that is beyond the individual's comfort level. Presented herein are techniques for adapting personalized services to request supplemental individual information only within a current familiarity stage that has been established by the individual with the service, and only to provide a requested usage of a service. Such solicitation may inform the individual of the intended usage of the requested information. Usages that may involve more sensitive information may be predicated upon requesting and receiving individual consent from the individual to advance to a higher familiarity stage.

Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided that retrieve raw data from issuers, reorganize the raw data, analyze the reorganized data to determine whether the risky or malicious activity is occurring, and generate alerts to notify users of possible malicious activity. For example, the raw data is included in a plurality of tables. The system joins one or more tables to reorganize the data using several filtering techniques to reduce the processor load required to perform the join operation. Once the data is reorganized, the system executes one or more rules to analyze the reorganized data. Each rule is associated with a malicious activity. If any of the rules indicate that malicious activity is occurring, the system generates an alert for display to a user in an interactive user interface.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described to provide a fail-safe licensing system. An example system may include a quorum detection module of an instance of a software program configured to query a licensing queue corresponding to the software program for messages to determine a number of active instances of the software program. Based on a comparison of the determined number of active instances and a maximum number of allowed instances of the software program, the quorum detection module may be configured to determine whether the instance of the software program is authorized. In response to a determination that the instance of the software program is authorized, the quorum detection module may generate a unique instance identification tag and post a message to the licensing queue, where the message includes an indication that the instance of the software program is active and an indication of the generated unique instance identification tag.

An index is created and used to extract uncommon features from social media messages. A collision between users is detected when their messages have the same uncommon feature. A comparison of user accounts with multiple collisions may be executed to identify similar content as coordinated activity. A visualization tool constructs a network graph that shows relationships between users in social networks, and can be used to discover coordinated users engaged in misuse of social media.

Some embodiments may include a system with a networked device including circuitry configured to determine a kit has been received subsequent from the kit being in a user's possession. Based upon the standards selection parameters and the metadata, a set of standards that apply to the particular project is determined. For each standard in the set of standards, a description is extracted from the repository. Using the extracted descriptions, a project description for the particular project is generated that includes the extracted descriptions. By doing this, the method and system relieve a project builder of the burden of having to manually incorporate standard description information into a project description. This in turn helps to reduce the potential for error.

An input module and interface receive qualitative and quantitative data for each individual. The received data corresponds to the defined certification program. An analytic module with rules of the defined certification program is applied to the received data to provide a qualitative analysis of the received qualitative data and to provide a quantitative analysis of the received quantitative data. Summarization and classification modules characterize and rank individuals based on the provided analysis. Selected individuals are certified based on their classification and ranking.
