The online system determines whether the components satisfy one or more policies of the online system. Tags may be associated with components of the advertisement that describe characteristics of the component. Tags are compared to one or more advertisement rules from a policy to determine if a component corresponding to the tags satisfies the policy. The online system may notify advertisers of advertisement components that do not satisfy the a policy of the online system to allow the advertiser to more easily modify advertisements for subsequent compliance.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically monitoring and reporting pest infestation in a distributed work environment, and resolving detected non-compliances. Sensors are configured to collect various types of data in the distributed work environment, including data related to pest traps and data related to human inspection and handling of pest traps. A rules engine analyzes the data collected from the sensors to determine compliance with a set of rules related to pest infestation. Other types of data that may be collected by sensors and analyzed by the rules engine include machine data, biological data, and environmental data. The rules may include governmental regulations, industry standards, and company specifications. If the rules engine detects existing non-compliance and/or potential non-compliance in the collected data with at least one of the rules, it generates alerts, remediation instructions, and/or takes actions to resolve the non-compliance.

Abstract: This patent application relates to credibility techniques for allowing an entity to leverage its credibility in an automated, standardized, and convenient manner. A credibility manifestation (e.g. a credibility cube) is described for representing, managing, validating, and/or conveying the entity's credibility profile to specific prospects. An automated credibility management system (CMS) is also described for creating and leveraging the credibility manifestation.

Abstract: A method for automated transfer of the unique ID of a consumer electronics device (CED) is disclosed. The method includes initiating registration of the CED with an external entity. The CED does not have ability to complete the registration with the external entity by itself. A unique identification for the CED is obtained and provided to the external entity in order to complete the registration of the CED. Registration of the CED is initiated by executing a registration program. The unique identification is obtained using a universal plug and play (UPnP) service that includes requesting the universal identification from the CED and receiving the universal identification from the CED. The unique identification is provided to the external entity by inserting it in an associated field provided as part of registration process. Apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: Standard Diamond Parcels (SDPs) are certified for use in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Three SDP colour types, Luxury, Premium and Privilege along with seven weight ranges simplify the complexity of diamond trading into twenty one different types of SDPs. Each SDP has ten diamonds, each diamond having a different colour/clarity combination. An SDP certification device, method and durable, non-transitory computer readable storage medium assures the characteristic of the diamonds in of each SDP type have a uniform valuation even though characteristics of the individual diamonds in each SDP may vary. One or more SDP may be grouped for use in an EFT unit.

The method and system are implemented on a server accessible by users to record time and costs. The total cost of compliance and the total cost of product quality can be determined based on the recorded costs including internal costs, external costs, delay costs and probability of failure costs.

Abstract: A system for monitoring and recording hand hygiene performance is configured to monitor and record information generated by the operation of dispensers to assess behavior of a group to identify overall hygiene performance. The system includes a plurality of wireless communication devices, with a first number of the wireless communication devices being disposed within or adjacent to dispensers and operatively configured for sensing, monitoring, and reporting information about the status and operation of the dispensers. A hierarchal communication network for access to a central host database, a data processor, and a hygiene management software application operatively configured to create hygiene management reports of hand hygiene rate metrics based upon the monitored dispenser data and a method of providing a user interface. Based on the various computed hand hygiene rates, a hand hygiene improvement metric that identifies the improvement in hand hygiene rates over time is also calculated by the system.

Abstract: This system provides a rating related to livestock producers' compliance with certain animal husbandry protocols. The system accepts data from other systems or data entry related to movement and location of animals, certification of caretakers, management compliance statements, and documents pertaining to herd health. Additionally, the system provides means to remind employees when recertification is necessary and administer refresher courses to prepare the employee for recertification. Finally, the system can record onsite assessments and remind when they come due. Taking this information into account, the system generates a rating. This rating may be made available to entities outside the producer and signifies the level of compliance the producer has with the various animal well-being protocols imbedded in the system and measured by the activities reported.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a follow-up control method of a product online, and more particularly, to a method of registering a product to a management server after capturing the barcode of the product by using a portable device and performing a follow-up control of the product online by using the registered barcode. A follow-up control method of a product by using a portable device includes: identifying a product by capturing the barcode of the product with a portable device through a program built in the portable device or identifying a product by directly inputting product information into the portable device; registering the product by transmitting data regarding the identified product information to a management server; and performing a follow-up control on the product online by a user after the product registration is completed.

The system comprises a database for storing a plurality of record files comprising legal forms for filing with government registration entities. A questionnaire memory stores a plurality of query lists to ascertain relevant data for legal forms. A mobile device is operatively associated with the computer database and the questionnaire memory. The mobile device includes a programmed processor, program memory, an input device for entering commands, a display and a wireless transceiver for remote communications. The processor runs an application program stored in the program memory. The application program maps select ones of the plurality of query lists to select ones of the legal forms and operates a user interface using the display through which a user enters commands on the input device including a selection of one of the plurality of legal forms. Responsive thereto, the application program displays the mapped query list for the selected legal form.

Abstract: Entitlement cards having an offer term and number of user licenses for a subscription to an online service can be applied to existing subscriber accounts to add or otherwise adjust the number of user licenses associated with the subscription. When an entitlement card is added to an account, the system automatically adjusts the amount of time for each user license so that an entire value of an entitlement subscription is used and a same expiry date is maintained even when adding new user licenses to an existing account. A user interface is provided that enables a customer to change the number of user licenses for a subscription when redeeming an entitlement card to their account and view a new end date for the subscription as a whole resulting from a change in user licenses during a current subscription.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer usable program product for ranking and categorizing criminal offenders in a jurisdiction. In one embodiment, external data associated with the offenders is processed in a set of data models to generate a ranking index of criminal offenders. The external data comprises offender data elements related to prior arrests. The computer software and web application enables officers, detectives, and supervisors to research the offenders in their jurisdiction. They can intentionally track and monitor the status of the offenders that are not currently incarcerated. They can deliberately increase lawful contacts with these high-rate and treacherous offenders.

The input of energy and RECs will automatically fit into existing data models, allowing immediate attribution upon upload. The invention will immediately calculate the energy balance of the input, accounting for such factors as resource generation, energy inputs, native load, station service, and obligations. Users can specify numerous energy and REC sources to be attributed simultaneously, such attribution happening according to either system or user-defined attribution policies. The invention allows users to manipulate the data to best facilitate use of their RECs, displaying REC positions over user-specified periods of time.

The present invention describes a track-and-trace solution based on unique item-level QR codes printed on product packaging and encoding unique URLs to enable granular, item-level product management. In some embodiments of the invention, the information presented to users who access these unique URLs is tailored based on product usability information provided from authorized supply chain participants, the role of the user in the supply chain, and/or regulation required data comprising product safety data as required by regulations from a regulatory agency. Abstract: A mobile application for use in facilitating environmental credits has been developed for individual as well as corporate and municipality use. The downloadable application can be used to track a user's carbon footprint and possible reductions in carbon use through purchasing green products and other methods of carbon savings. The closed loop feature allows the user to return the carbon credits to the manufacturer of the green product. Although carbon credits are used in the examples, the invention can be used for any type of environmental credit or reduction in monitored substance. Also, the invention is flexible in its application and can be used to track carbon savings for event travel. The use of the mobile application is unlimited in geographic reach.

Abstract: A method of estimating the soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks for a grassland based on the plant-derived SOC plus the dung-derived SOC minus the carbon lost through microbial maintenance respiration. The plant-derived SOC, dung-derived SOC, and microbial maintenance respiration are estimated by considering the effect of one or more of the lignin and cellulose content of the plant material, the estimated annual aboveground and belowground plant production, the grazing intensity, the number of fires per year, the mean annual rainfall, the belowground net primary production, and the soil texture. The method thus provides an allowance of plants to compensate for grazing without losing leaf area, and the diversion of carbon through grazing animals and into soil through the deposit of dung.
