Patient Record Management Patents (Class 705/3)
  • Patent number: 10827339
Abstract: A message communicating system to allow emergency personnel, who may be in an emergency vehicle, to transmit an emergency message to a target person, who may be in a motor vehicle, to encourage, suggest or demand the target person take appropriate action, such as moving out of the way or pulling over, to benefit the emergency personnel and the target person. The system has a transmitter associated with the emergency personnel to transmit an electronic signal carrying the message and an electronic device, such as a radio, cell phone or loudspeaker, associated with the target person to receive the message and communicate the message to the target person. The transmitter can limit the distance of the electronic signal to a signal radius so only target persons in the signal radius will receive the message. Security codes can be used to allow the two devices to securely link together.

  • Patent number: 10818388
Abstract: The invention relates to the administration of prescription drug formulary information. A list of drugs that a particular prescription drug plan will pay for in whole or in part is called a formulary. The invention involves the use of information and customizable rules associated with formularies, combined with information from patient medical records, to generate custom, dynamic formularies applicable to specific patients, groups of patients, or both. Depending on the choice of rules and the other information, this may help payers control prescription drug costs by encouraging the use of less-expensive drugs when medically appropriate, but without impairing the freedom of prescribers to prescribe specific drugs according to their professional judgments. Some embodiments may also be adapted to generate and store data about the use and functioning of the embodiments or aspects of them and to generate reports containing some or all such data in response to queries.

  • Patent number: 10818390
Abstract: Introduced here are diabetes management platforms able to examine glucose measurements associated with a subject to discover patterns indicative of similar behaviors/circumstances. More specifically, a diabetes management platform can acquire multiple data series generated by a glucose monitoring device that monitors the blood glucose level of an individual over multiple time intervals. The diabetes management platform can then apply a similarity algorithm to produce a distance measure (also referred to as a “similarity measure”) for each data series. For example, the diabetes management platform may, for each data series, perform dynamic time warping to produce a distance measure with respect to each of the other data series. The diabetes management platform can identify patterns indicative of similar behaviors/circumstances based on these distance measures.

Abstract: A database merger method (20) merges two or more anonymized healthcare databases (X, Y). Each anonymized healthcare database has personally identifying information anonymized including having medical care units replaced by medical care unit placeholders. In the database merger method, statistical patient feature distributions are computed for medical care unit placeholders in the anonymized healthcare databases. Medical care unit placeholders in different anonymized healthcare databases are matched by matching corresponding statistical patient feature distributions for the respective medical care unit placeholders. Patients in different anonymized healthcare databases are matched. The patient matching is performed within matched pairs of medical care unit placeholders to improve computational efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10777309
Abstract: A computing system for generating a delayed electronic prescription for a controlled substance is disclosed herein. A server computer device receives precursor data for an electronic prescription for a controlled substance that is to be prescribed to a patient from a client computing device operated by a healthcare worker. The server computing device transmits the precursor data to a second server computing device. The second server computing device then transmits a request for an identity of a pharmacy that is to provide the controlled substance to a patient computing device operated by the patient. The patient computing device receives input causing the identity for the pharmacy to be received by the server computing device. The server computing device constructs the electronic prescription using the precursor data and the identity of the pharmacy and signs the electronic prescription with an electronic signature for the healthcare worker.

  • Patent number: 10770177
Abstract: A dispatch management computer system that integrates with an existing nurse call system for clinical workflow optimization and to create accountability for patient satisfaction and outcomes. The system integrates a “quarterback” (e.g., dispatcher) tablet with a custom dispatch application that presents a floor plan for tracking the RTLS position of staff members and to provide a visual indication of which room and bed the call originated from. When a patient requests assistance, the QB application presents an assessment of the patient needs and, if further assistance is required, provides the dispatcher tools for real time assignment of the appropriate staff member and dispatch to begin the task within a predetermined amount of time required to complete the task allocated. The system enables the prompt assignment of staff personnel and assures that a patient receives prompt staff attention.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for determining the likelihood of a presence or absence of one or more patient conditions based on unstructured text data from the electronic health records, which may accrue during the routine provisioning of care services. In particular, embodiments described herein use structural topic modeling (STM) to assess the textual information as to topical or concept-oriented expressions they contain that are statistically similar to those associated with various clinical conditions or diagnoses; to identify which condition- or diagnosis-oriented clusters the present texts most closely resemble, if any; and to notify the responsible clinicians of those determinations, suggesting consideration of those conditions or diagnoses as part of the constellation of differential diagnoses pertinent to the management of the patient.
