Requiring Authorization Or Authentication Patents (Class 705/44)
  • Patent number: 12086768
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to digital check processing. A computing platform may receive a check image from a user device. The computing platform may configure, based on the check image, a digital check for use in conducting transactions between the user device and point of sale devices, which may include generating a QR code for the check. The computing platform may send, to the user device, the digital check, which may enable the user device to execute a transaction with a first point of sale device. The computing platform may receive, from the first point of sale device, a request to execute the transaction. The computing platform may direct an event processing server to process the transaction, which may cause the event processing server to execute a transfer of funds from an account of the initial payor to an enterprise account of the first point of sale device.

  • Patent number: 12086807
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for authenticating access to an account using questions which allow users to provide textual information about transactions conducted by an account. A machine learning model may be trained to predict the guessability of merchants. A request for access to an account may be received, and transaction data for that account may be received. An authentication question may be presented. For example, a user may be prompted to list places they have shopped recently. A user response comprising text data may be received. The text data may be processed to identify one or more merchants. If the one or more merchant(s) are represented in the transaction data, the machine learning model may be used to determine the guessability of the one or more merchants. An authentication score may be determined based on the guessability, and access to the account may be provided.

  • Patent number: 12086809
Abstract: As disclosed, a processor is configured to receive information relating to an account user and a restriction relating to the account user's ability to spend funds from an account. Based on the information relating to the account user, the processor generates an electronic message comprising a link structured to allow the account user to download, at a user computing device, an instance of a mobile wallet application, wherein the instance of the mobile wallet application is structured to gather location data from at least one of a Bluetooth device interfacing with the user computing device, a WiFi device interfacing with the user computing device, and an application provided to the user computing device, and wherein the location data is used to allow a transaction based on a determination that the user computing device is within a threshold distance from a second computing device.

  • Patent number: 12079747
Abstract: In some examples, a service provider may determine from a shift schedule that a first employee is scheduled to work a particular shift at a business within a threshold period of time. The service provider may determine, based on a location of a first mobile device of the first employee, that the first employee is unlikely to arrive at the business in time for the start of the particular shift. In response, the service provider may find a replacement employee to fill the shift of the first employee. For instance, the service provider may send the communication to a second mobile device associated with a second employee that is determined to be within a threshold distance of the business. Alternatively, if the service provider determines that the business is overstaffed on a particular day, the service provider may offer a selected employee an incentive to depart work early.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for mitigating errors in measurements from a quantum system. A discriminator is trained to classify the measurement results of the quantum states of qubits as corresponding to a first quantum state (e.g., quantum state of 0) or a second quantum state (e.g., quantum state of 1). A first region of trust (corresponding to trusted measurements of a first quantum state) with a first discriminator boundary and a second region of trust (corresponding to trusted measurements of a second quantum state) with a second discriminator boundary are defined using the trained discriminator. If a shot-to-shot measurement result of a qubit state falls outside such regions of trust, the measurement result is rejected. In this manner, measurement errors from a quantum system are effectively mitigated, including measurement errors involving shot-to-shot measurement results of the quantum states read from the execution of the quantum circuits.

Abstract: Various corpora of content objects and other information sources beyond the corpora of content objects are processed to identify personally identifiable information (PII). PII that is associated with a named person is codified into a first portion of a graph-oriented data structure. Also, PII that is associated with an alias that might refer to a named person is codified into a second portion of the graph-oriented data structure. A determination is made that the alias that might refer to a named person is indeed an alias that is a coreference to the named person. Based on that determination then, since the first portion of the graph and the second portion of the graph refer to the same person, then the PII of the second portion of the graph can be deemed to be PII of the same person. • Patent number: 12008565
Abstract: A mobile device and an article of manufacture as implemented in a mobile device having a lock screen wallpaper is described, where the mobile device maintains a profile storing authentication data associated with a primary user of a mobile device that is authorized to use the mobile device. When the mobile device is at a business location, the primary user is non-intrusively authenticated as an authorized user of the mobile device based on identifying presence of another electronic device (e.g., another mobile device) associated with the primary user. Upon successful authentication a scanning code is displayed over a lock screen wallpaper of the mobile device, where power is conserved in the mobile device by providing the scanning code to the primary user without unlocking the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 12008545
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a field of payment transactions using a card that discloses a computer-implemented method and a system for restricting a transaction while using a payment card. A card processing server may receive card details, a transaction amount, a flag, and signature data of the payment card from a remote terminal upon initiating a transaction using the payment card. Further, the card processing server validates the payment card based on the card details and the signature data of the payment card and thereafter determines a value associated with the flag upon successful validation. The value associated with the flag indicates one of two conditions, e.g., a true condition and a false condition. Based on the condition indicated by the flag, the card processing server performs one of a first action and a second action related to either processing or declining the transaction.

  • Patent number: 12002055
Abstract: A system delivers access to remote resources and remote data across geographic regions through a parallel circuit that transfers data between components. The system includes a volatile memory and processors that read to and write to the volatile memory. A computer readable medium storing a program in a non-transitory media provides access to remote resources locally by processing requests received from different computer devices remote from the processors from a publicly accessible distributed network that is addressed by a single address. The system generates routing commands based on a content of a payload, a protocol used to deliver the data, and detections of data types. The system routes requests from different computer devices remote to the processors to intended devices based on the single device address. The different computers includes physical devices and endpoints that sever a plurality of entry points for accessing a cloud.

  • Patent number: 11995649
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a subtoken corresponding to a primary token is generated. The primary token corresponds to a credential. The credential may be, for example, a primary account number (PAN) corresponding to a payment account. The subtoken may be a temporary, one-time use subtoken based on a primary token associated with the credential that allows a user to conduct a transaction from his or her account, while still providing security for the user's sensitive data. The subtoken may contain a header and an obfuscated portion. The header of the subtoken routes the subtoken to the entity issuing the subtoken for translation into the primary token. The obfuscated portion acts as a pointer to the primary token and data associated with the primary token. A same check digit may be included in the subtoken, the primary token, and the credential, in order to ensure that the transaction is not improperly denied.

Abstract: A conversational computing platform can manage transactions such as partial payments from consumers to merchants. More specifically, in transactions creating an amount due from a consumer to a merchant, a message may be transmitted to the consumer with an accounting of the amount due and an option for making partial payment. The message may further identify a payment method for the consumer on file with the platform, and ask the consumer to send a response with an approval/authentication code in order to disambiguate the response from a plurality of other messages and to initiate a partial payment. The platform can then provide an updating accounting to reflect the partial payment.
