Abstract: The present application discloses an improved transportation matching system, and corresponding methods and computer-readable media. According to the disclosed embodiments, the transportation matching system identifies low engagement transportation providers by analyzing information associated with the transportation providers to generate engagement levels. Furthermore, the system identifies an optimal match between a low engagement transportation provider (regardless of whether the transportation provider is online or offline) and a scheduled transportation request by utilizing attributes associated with a scheduled transportation request and attributes associated with transportation providers to generate rankings for the transportation providers. Additionally, the system provides the scheduled transportation request exclusively to a selected transportation provider based on the generated rankings.

Further, the image forming apparatus may include a controller to receive a destination address as an input to perform a user-selectable scanning feature. The first user profile and the second user profile may include first setting information and second setting information, respectively. One device includes instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive a first indication via a mobile device that a user intends to park a vehicle in a parking spot of a parking area, display directions to an available parking spot in the parking area via the mobile device, receive a second indication via the mobile device that the user has parked the vehicle in the available parking spot, and provide a third indication via a different mobile device that the available parking spot is no longer available.

Abstract: Provided is a convertible software application management system for a shared data-access layer in a distributed structure system linked to a database for customizable data processing at least in the transportation, home healthcare, delivery, and other service industries. Provided is a dispatching service provider (DSP) application for dispatching objects of service companies to provide an efficient mobile app to promote a cooperative relationship between a DSP and service companies using white label apps and a streamlined/efficient dispatching system. Customers only need to download or utilize a single mobile app to access service providers from a plurality of service companies, white label companies, and/or a DSP, all using the same dispatch software. This increases the likelihood of a customer to find suitable service providers for his/her needs and allows service entities to reach additional customers and maintain their brands without the need for a plurality of mobile applications.

Abstract: A system for training a learning machine accesses a training database of reference metadata that describes reference plans that include reference first-type plans and reference second-type plans. Such plans may be travel plans or other plans. The system trains the learning machine to distinguish candidate first-type plans from candidate second-type plans. The training of the learning machine is based on a set of decision trees generated from randomly selected subsets of the reference metadata, and the randomly selected subsets each describe a corresponding randomly selected portion of the reference plans. The system then modifies the trained learning machine based on asymmetrical penalties for incorrectly distinguishing candidate first-type plans from candidate second-type plans. The system then provides the modified learning machine for run-time use in classifying plans.

Subsequently, a seating optimization algorithm is executed to identify optimal and available seats corresponding to one or more seats from each request to participate. A second list of the one or more requests to participate is generated where the second list is ranked in accordance with the results of the electronic seating optimization algorithm. The location of a seat is then transmitted over a communications network in response to at least one request.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, includes identifying, a set of insurance policyholders that have experienced water loss and a second set of insurance policyholders that have not experienced water loss. The method also includes determining an attribute indicative of increased likelihood of future water loss using a predictive model using a percentage of the first set of insurance policyholders defining a first sample size of the first set of insurance policyholders that is smaller relative to a percentage of the second set of insurance policyholders defining the second sample size of the second set of insurance policyholders. A transport provider is selected to service the transport request based in part on a combination of a proposed cost to service the transport request and a proposed price to be paid in exchange for utilizing one or more pick-up/drop-off zones (PDZs) in servicing the request. The proposed cost to complete the transport request and the proposed price to be paid for utilizing one or more PDZs are specified by the transport provider. A transport assignment is transmitted to the selected transport provider to cause the selected transport provider to service the transport request.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved techniques of a route optimization system to provide dynamic promotions to compensate for predicted time of arrival of a vehicle in response to a ride request. The promotions may be for vendors located by the pickup location in the ride request and timed to compensate for a wait time or an unexpected delay. In another embodiment, dynamic promotions may be determined and provided to incentivize customers to go to an alternate pickup location providing a more optimized route for the assigned vehicle. The more optimized route may be based on a better quality route score compared to the quality route score of the route originally determined for the original pickup location from the ride request. The promotion may be for vendors identified to be on the way to the alternate pickup location and timed to optimize efficiency and reduce any lag or wait time on the customer's behalf.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose a mobile device system for displaying contactless payment options to a user of a mobile device. A location of the device may be detected. The location may be transmitted to a payment services provider, and information indicating that the location corresponds to a merchant having contactless payment options may be received. In response, graphical depictions of payment options associated with a plurality of payment sources are displayed on a touch-sensitive display of the mobile device. A selection of one of the graphical depictions is received, and in response, one or more transceivers of the mobile device, such as one or more NFC transceivers, may be activated. The activation may cause the transceivers to transmit a personal account number to a point-of-sale terminal. Thus, the user is presented with contactless payment options based on a geographical location, and may be presented with a suggested payment source.

Based on the similarity between the one or more first representations and the one or more candidate tags, the method identifies a portion of the one or more candidate tags. The method further determines that a first characteristic associated with the merchant corresponds to a second characteristic associated with multiple merchants and selects the multiple merchants based on the second characteristic. Based on transaction data associated with the multiple merchants, the method further generates a recommendation to alter the menu.

If there are multiple scripts that are associated with an extension point for a service instance in a SAAS platform, a script execution schedule is determined. This can indicate the order of execution of the multiple scripts, but may also specify how the inputs and outputs of the multiple script executions are obtained. For example, the inputs for multiple scripts can be the same, and be those provided by the SAAS platform at the extension point. In this case, in effect the multiple scripts are executed independently. Alternatively, the output of one script can function as the input to another script, which requires a certain order of execution. After all of the scripts are executed, output rules are used to determine an overall output of the script execution to be returned the platform through the extension point.

Abstract: A boarding pass can be employed as a financial instrument to make payments and other financial transactions. A passenger name record, a standardized computer reservation system protocol, can be associated with one or more financial accounts. When a point of sale device scans the boarding pass, either on a mobile device, or a traditional paper boarding pass, the passenger name record can be used to find a travel itinerary associated with the customer. By matching the travel itinerary to the location of the point of sale device, and the time, payments can be authorized and then initiated using financial account information associated with the passenger name record. Likewise, a mismatch can provide a basis for denying authorization and subsequent payment.

Further embodiments automatically integrate an ambassador platform configured to deliver promotion, tracking, marketing, and attribution functions with little or no input required from an event organizer. Pre-registration services can be implemented with little or no input, and ambassador teams can be linked by the system to an event and used to drive participation.

Abstract: A SQL database system is disclosed for reading and writing a non-SQL document store using SQL. The database system includes a SQL query engine configured to use different types of dynamically loadable connectors adapted to communicate with the non-SQL document store via its data access interface. The connectors may include a first connector that treats data within an individual document in the document store as multiple table rows, and a second connector that treats individual documents as individual table rows. In some embodiments, both types of document access modes may be implemented by a single multi-modal connector. In some embodiments, the connector may enable a table to be stored across multiple documents and provide the document identifier of the documents as an attribute of the table. Advantageously, by allowing multiple rows to be stored in individual documents, a table can be stored using less storage space and accessed more efficiently.

The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.

In a calendar user interface element, a user can move from a single day reservation to multi-day reservation without having to choose a multi-day reservation to begin the reservation workflow. Additionally, the user interface can instantly recover from an unavailable booking without requiring the user to navigate to another user interface to select an alternative booking.

Abstract: An effective strategy should result in reduced resource consumption in association with an event. Reducing time at a bottleneck in event check-in would be considered a positive result. However, it is desirable to maintain privacy policy compliance. Utilizing the techniques described in this paper reduces time at check-in related to physical badge preparation and distribution while maintaining privacy policy compliance. A rule signature comprises a string of values from a guest record substituted for corresponding information defined by a matching rule. A graph is generated comprising connected components of the rule signatures and respective identifiers, a connected component corresponding to a distinct guest of the guest records. An assigned identifier identifies a connected component. The server alters the memory to add the assigned identifiers to the guest records identified by respective identifiers associated with respective rule signatures of the connected components.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a subscription travel service. The systems and methods include operations for receiving travel information with a travel date for a user; computing a subscription value as a function of a booking date and the travel date; determining a minimum travel value and a maximum purchase amount based on the computed subscription value; receiving a request from the user to reserve a given travel service having a first cost that exceeds the minimum travel value and a second cost that is less than the maximum purchase amount; and identifying a travel end date for the given travel service; and preventing the user from reserving another travel service for a specified period of time of the travel end date.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for analyzing searches of verbal media content associated with media content features. A relatively popular portion of a media content item is determined based at least in part on a dialogue of the relatively popular portion of the media content item being included in a plurality of dialogue search queries received from a plurality of client devices. The media content item is rendered via a client device, and a recommendation for an item is via the client device in response to the relatively popular portion of the media content item being rendered.
