Abstract: A system includes one or more mobile fuel distribution stations that have a mobile trailer, a pump, a manifold, a plurality of hoses, detachably connectable fuel caps connected or connectable with the hoses, valves, and fuel level sensors. The mobile fuel distribution station is configured to operate the pump responsive to a low fuel threshold to provide fuel to the manifold, from the manifold to the valves, and from the valves through the hoses. One or more servers are operable to communicate with the mobile fuel distribution station. The server is configured to receive fuel operating parameter data from the mobile fuel distribution station, determine whether the fuel operating parameter data is within a preset limit, and send a control action in response to the operating parameter data being outside the preset limit.

Abstract: A system for dispatching vehicles in a public transportation network may include a passenger monitoring system configured to monitor a number of passengers waiting at a stop in the transportation network, a vehicle dispatching system and a processing device. The processing device may apply a Markov Decision Process (MDP) model to determine a score for each of multiple decision rules, in which each score represents a number of passengers waiting at the stop at the end of a time interval, and use the scores to identify a number of waiting passengers at which a reserve vehicle should be dispatched. The system may use information received from the passenger monitoring system to determine a state at an instant of time, and determine whether a reserve vehicle should be dispatched based on the MDP model and cause the vehicle dispatch system to dispatch a reserve vehicle or retain a nominal vehicle.

Abstract: A system for creating and using a universal tag to gather consumer data from a web site for the purposes of targeted advertising is provided. The universal tag system has two main subsystems. The first subsystem is a configuration system that is used to define the consumer data to be collected from the website and to define taxonomy and transformation rules to be applied to the collected consumer data. The second subsystem is a runtime system that runs a universal tag client-side script, which is triggered when a consumer lands on a webpage of the website, for collecting the defined consumer data. The runtime system then applies the transformation rules to the collected data and updates a user profile corresponding to the consumer with the transformed data. As well, the runtime system applies the taxonomy rules to the collected data and categorizes the consumer for the purposes of subsequent targeted advertising.

Abstract: A “Poll Optimizer” provides automated techniques for performing various combinations of both static and runtime optimizations for crowd-sourced queries including, but not limited to, crowd-sourced opinion-based polls. These optimizations have been observed to improve poll performance by reducing factors such as completion times, monetary costs, and error rates of polls. In various implementations, the Poll Optimizer receives an input query representing a crowd-sourced poll that is formatted as a multi-layer structure (e.g., LINQ-based queries natively supported by .NET languages, JQL-based queries supported by JAVA, etc.). The Poll optimizer then iteratively reduces the multi-layer structure of the input query to construct a reformulated query. This reformulated query is then matched to an optimized execution process selected from a plurality of predefined execution processes.

Multiple nodes, for example, may execute tasks (e.g., updates) in an order based on task identifiers and/or local clock values for each of the nodes. Nodes may generate identifiers for the task and send the task and identifier to one or more other nodes, such as via a gossip protocol.

The Context-Aware Crowdsourced Task Optimizer bundles tasks to both maximize expected numbers of completed tasks and to dynamically price tasks to maximize the system's utility, which is a function of task values and task completion rates. Advantageously, the resulting task identification and recommendation process incentivizes individual workers to perform more tasks in a shorter time period, thereby helping tasks to complete faster, even with smaller budgets.

The geo-referenced aerial image may be isolated such that a data processing operator may not be able to pan or zoom outside of the isolated geo-referenced aerial image.

Abstract: A healthcare assessment system is provided for a plurality of healthcare facilities each having healthcare providers and residential areas, each area equipped with biometric sensors and activity sensors. A central server receives sensor data and stores subject information in a data storage network. The system determines potential events for each subject based on respective healthcare profiles, and an event inference engine identifies the actual occurrence and extrapolates a likely occurrence of potential events based on the stored data points with respect to time. The system assigns values representative of a level of healthcare resource needs for each subject, and values representative of a quality of healthcare resources provided for each healthcare provider. A graphical user interface includes a resource allocation report with user-selectable lists of relative rankings of the assigned values for each subject and each provider in a healthcare facility, or for each respective healthcare facility.

The vendor roles typically have redundant authorizations, some of which may be used and some not used. The system can then generate a new customer role for the user with the used authorizations combined into the new role. For example, the authorizations used by the user are combined into the new customer role. This reduces the number of roles the user has assigned to him/her, and also the number of authorizations. Also, the new customer role may be added to other users with the same role at the customer.
