Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a decision model to open and close enterprise facilities. A computing platform may receive one or more attributes associated with an operation of an enterprise facility. Subsequently, the computing platform may identify, based on the one or more attributes, a business operation rule for the enterprise facility. Then, the computing platform may determine, based on the one or more attributes and the business operation rule, an operational parameter for the enterprise facility. Then, the computing platform may compare the operational parameter to a threshold parameter, where the threshold parameter may be indicative of whether to keep the enterprise facility open for business. Then, the computing platform may, upon a determination that the operational parameter fails to exceed the threshold parameter, determine to temporarily close the enterprise facility. Then, the computing platform may redistribute user traffic to one or more open customer resource facilities.

Abstract: Event organizers must assign volunteers, staff, sub-contractors etc. over multiple roles, multiple shifts, and multiple locations. Assigning individuals, whether a few to hundreds or thousands, requires the user to filter through registration information and align this to the roles/shifts etc. This is further complicated when the registration forms used to acquire user data are custom questionnaires. Embodiments of the invention automatically generates custom filters for subsequently filtering of the entries made by registrants where the user generates custom questions. Further, embodiments of the invention allow the importation of data from other sources wherein if it includes fields not supported by the database into which the data is being imported the system automatically adds new custom fields to the database as well as supporting the establishment of new questionnaires, new custom filters, and triggering registration updates from existing registrants to acquire new data for the new custom fields.

Abstract: In some examples a first parameter for respective applicants or candidates can be computed based on respective text data from a text dataset that can include a plurality of different types of text data. The first parameter can be populated with a given portion of text of the respective text data. A second parameter for a job requisition can be computed based on the respective text data used to compute the first parameter for a given applicant or candidate. The second parameter can be populated with a different portion of text of the respective text data used to compute the first parameter. Synthetic test data can be generated based on the computed parameters to test a machine learning (ML) ranking model that has been trained on training data that is from a different data source than the text dataset to validate a performance of the ML ranking model.

Abstract: A transport facilitation system can receive a pick-up request from a computing device of a user of a transportation arrangement service, the pick-up request comprising a unique identifier and a pick-up location. Using the unique identifier, the system can perform a lookup in a database for a profile indicating vehicle setup preferences for the user, and select a service vehicle to service the pick-up request. The system can further determine a seat assignment within the service vehicle for the user, and based on the vehicle setup preferences indicated in the profile, the system transmit a set of configuration instructions to the service vehicle, the set of configuration instructions to configure one or more adjustable components of the service vehicle for the user.

Abstract: Technologies described herein offer a contextually aware schedule service technology. User-related activity is monitored to detect a future event related to the user. Information is extracted from the monitored user-related activity information. The extracted information about the future event can be evaluated to determine whether it is related to another future event associated with the user. When a particular future event for the user changes, a set of related events may be utilized to determine a related event is affected by the change. For example, a user may be notified to cancel or modify the future event. Additionally, service providers associated with the affected event(s) may be notified, or a personal assistant service may facilitate automatically rescheduling the affected events.

Abstract: A system and related processing methodologies for recommending a product based on a work order are described. The system receives an input case description, including a current repair item and a current work type. Historical work orders associating a plurality of products with repair items and work types are searched for a co-occurrence of the repair item matching the current repair item, and the work type matching the current work type. Upon finding a match, the product associated with the match is added to a set of candidate products for the current work order. A similarity measure between the candidate product and current work order description, a current work type category, and popularity of the candidate product is generated and then used in the generation of a probability score for the candidate product and current work order. If the probability score meets a threshold, the candidate product is recommended.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus that schedule a plurality of executables in a schedule queue for execution in one or more physical compute devices such as CPUs or GPUs concurrently are described. One or more executables are compiled online from a source having an existing executable for a type of physical compute devices different from the one or more physical compute devices. Dependency relations among elements corresponding to scheduled executables are determined to select an executable to be executed by a plurality of threads concurrently in more than one of the physical compute devices. A thread initialized for executing an executable in a GPU of the physical compute devices are initialized for execution in another CPU of the physical compute devices if the GPU is busy with graphics processing threads.

Abstract: The invention provides a technology for electronic job processing which includes hiring, rating and paying short term workers. The method of architecting database schemas in conjunction with algorithms provides modules that dynamically automate processes including invoices on a mobile phone app. After authenticating a user on a mobile phone or computer, the algorithms display departmental user menus that provide functions based on user type. The rating mechanism which utilizes a numerical method to assign percentage values to a graphical rating input and stores it numerically in a database or file from where it is modified by a positive or negative value enables worker selection based on competence. The invention provides a window for displaying ads in the mobile apps in form of text, video or audio.

Abstract: A system for shift design and assignment comprises an interface configured to receive scheduling input data which includes labor demand data, worker data, and scheduling configuration data, and a processor configured to generate a set of shift candidates, determine a set of decision variables, determine a cost function, determine a set of constraints, and determine simultaneously, using a SAT, a MP solver, or a MIP solver, a subset of the shift candidates selected in a final schedule and a set of shift assignments of which worker is assigned to which selected shift candidate of the subset of the shift candidates such that the hard constraints are fully respected, violations to the soft constraints are minimized, and the cost function is minimized.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for a ride-sharing system. The ride-sharing system includes a ride-sharing platform. The ride-sharing platform includes a memory that is configured to store a driver profile and a processor that is coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to obtain a start location, a destination location and a rider profile. The processor is configured to determine a rider vulnerability score based on the rider profile and determine a route risk score based on the current location, the destination location and an expected route. The processor is configured to determine a driver risk score based on the driver profile. The processor is configured to generate a ride-share risk score based on the ride vulnerability score, the route risk score and the driver risk score and provide the ride-share risk score to a user device.

For each skill or experience-related phrase in a resume, the system computes a term of experience based on an experience range associated with a contextual use of the phrase in the resume. The term of experience for a phrase that occurs multiple times in the resume is the summation of the term of experience for each occurrence of the phrase associated with a different contextual use. The system stores each phrase and the term of experience in a parsed resume. The resume database also stores job descriptions that include required phrases and a required term of experience for each required phrase. The job descriptions also store a required level of education or field of specialization, and a required salary range. A recruiter searches the resume database to find matching resumes that satisfy a job description.

A method for automatically assigning temporary delivery workers to a delivery task comprises receiving a request to determine delivery tasks for temporary delivery workers from a user device, retrieving delivery tasks needing assignments from a database, each delivery task associated with a delivery location and a volume of parcels, and determining a number of permanent delivery workers needed based on a volume of parcels associated with each delivery task.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for task pruning that can be utilized in existing resource allocation systems to improve the systems' robustness without requiring changing to existing mapping heuristics. The pruning mechanism leverages a probability model, which calculates the probability of a task competing before its deadline in the presence of task dropping, and only schedules tasks that are likely to succeed. Pruning tasks whose chance of success is low improves the chance of success for other tasks. Tasks that are unlikely to succeed are either deferred from current scheduling event or are preemptively dropped from the system. The pruning method can benefit service providers by allowing them to utilize their resources more efficiently and use them only for tasks that can meet their deadlines. The pruning method further helps end users by making the system more robust in allowing more tasks to complete on time.

Abstract: Technologies for latency based service level agreement (SLA) management in remote direct memory access (RDMA) networks include multiple compute devices in communication via a network switch. A compute device determines a service level objective (SLO) indicative of a guaranteed maximum latency for a percentage of RDMA requests of an RDMA session. The compute device receives latency data indicative of latency of an RDMA request from a host device. The compute device determines a priority associated with the RDMA request as a function of the SLO and the latency data. The compute device schedules the RDMA request based on the priority. The network switch may allocate queue resources to the RDMA request based on the priority, reclaim the queue resources after the RDMA request is scheduled, and then return the queue resources to a free pool. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

The multiplexing can include relaying a first mission-related data from mobile devices of the asset pilots to a mobile device of the requestor via a common communication channel, and relaying a second mission-related data from the mobile device of the requestor to the mobile devices of the asset pilot via the common communication channel.

The waiting and traveling times are determined to minimize a total cost and to make a total time within the remaining time. The total cost includes a cost of the traveling and a cost of the waiting. The total time includes the waiting and traveling times. A route along which the autonomous car is to travel to the place of the meeting within the traveling time is determined.

Abstract: A service ecosystem for vehicles that includes various components that are connected to a cloud. One or more technicians wearing headsets can be verified and authenticated by the cloud to work on vehicles based on the technician's biometric information and on the vehicle service requested. The service ecosystem may provide instructions to the technicians to perform the vehicle service. The cloud may also provide requested technical service information to the technician and a service advisor and help to load balance technician so that the service can be completed as scheduled.

For each of the projects in the subset, a communication channel (e.g., an instant messaging or IM system, an email group, a group chat, a social network community) associated with the project is identified. It is determined whether the user is already a member of the communication channel. If the user is not a member of the communication channel, the user is automatically added to the communication channel without user intervention from the user.

A first client device associated with a first user is matched with a first proficiency agent of the plurality of proficiency agents, based on a first proficiency score associated with the first user and a second proficiency score of the plurality of proficiency scores corresponding to the first proficiency agent. Assessments results of an assessment performed between the first client device and the first proficiency agent are received, and a rating system update function is used to update the first proficiency score and the second proficiency score, based on the assessment results.

Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide a server that receives a service request from a user device. The server matches the service request against one or more technician profiles. Then the server sends a message to a corresponding technician device to accept the service request and starts an acceptance timer. If the technician accepts, the server sends a control application to the user device for installation. The user can enter a PIN received from the server into the control application, which then shares control of the user device with the technician device. The technician device can cancel the service request during a grace period. Otherwise, the technician must complete the service request. The control application can notify the server whether the service request was completed, and the server can update a score in the technician profile accordingly.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: receiving an offer request including one or more desired services, and selecting available offerings, each of which include at least one of the desired services. A determination is made whether available benchmarks exist for each of the at least one desired service included in each of the selected available offerings. For each desired service determined as not having available benchmarks, a draft benchmark is computed for each of a plurality of criteria. A confidence weight is also computed for each of the draft benchmarks. The available benchmarks, the draft benchmarks, and the confidence weights are further used to construct an offer which is submitted in response to the received offer request. Moreover, the draft benchmarks and the corresponding confidence weights are re-computed for each of the respective desired services in response to determining that the submitted offer was not accepted.

A processor clusters the plurality of pages, using the clustering algorithm, to create a group of pages. A processor validates the clustered group of pages. In response to passing validation, a processor generates a set of final separated files based on the clustered group of pages.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for evaluating customer support sessions to identify active listening. The techniques include receiving a recording of a customer service support session from a customer support terminal, which is associated with a representative identifier of a customer service representative. The customer service support session includes one or more segments, and a plurality of active listening factor scores is calculated and averaged to determine an active listening factor score for each of the one or more segments. The plurality of active listening factor scores corresponds to different active listening attributes demonstrated by the customer service representative. The active listening factor score for each of the one or more segments are averaged to determine a session score, which is associated with the representative identifier. The session score can be used to present one or more support suggestions for the customer service representative in a support tool.
